Objective:Genitourinary syndrome of menopause is a progressive condition characterized by a decrease in estrogen,which causes bothersome genital *** purpose of the study was to determine the effect of royal jelly on the genitourinary syndrome of *** and methods:A randomized controlled trial was carried out from November 2018 to June 2019 in Bandar Abbas,*** trial was registered in the Iranian Registry of Clinical Trials(1RCT20181107041585N1)with the main objective of determining if royal jelly could reduce the genitourinary syndrome of menopausal *** women were randomly assigned to receive either daily 1g of oral royal jelly or placebo for 8 *** urogenital subscale of the Menopausal Rating Scale was used to determine genitourinary *** samples t-test was used for inter-group comparisons and paired samples t-test for pre-and post-treatment ***:There were no differences in the severity of sexual problems,bladder complications,or vaginal dryness between groups before *** the intervention group's bladder complications improved slightly after eight weeks of royal jelly treatment compared to the control group(p?0.04),there were no significant changes in vaginal dryness,sexual problems,or total urogenital *** within-group changes(before and after treatment)also showed no differences in urogenital ***:A daily dose of 1g royal jelly taken orally for 8 weeks did not alleviate menopausal genitourinary *** serious side effects were *** make more reliable decisions about the use and safety of royal jelly in the future,different doses of royal jelly and longer trials are required.

A series of cross-linked poly（3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate）/octavinyloctasilasesquioxane （PHBWOVS） composites were obtained by a simple melt reactive processing technique. Dicumyl peroxide （DCP） and OVS were employed as a free radical initiator and a cross-linking agent, respectively. The chemical structure of these produced composites were identified by 1H/13C/29Si-nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy （1H/13C/29Si-NMR） and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR）. The melting behavior, non-isothermal crystallization, spherulite morphology and thermal stability property of PHBV/OVS composites were also investigated. The nucleation behaviors and crystallization rate of PHBV/OVS were significantly enhanced with the formation of cross-linked networks with different side-chains and cross-linking points. The red shift of crystalline peak temperature with addition of a small amount of OVS content evidenced the higher crystalline ability compared with the neat PHBV. However there was a threshold content, beyond which the crystallization rate weakened again. Additionally, the cross-linked structure of PHBV/OVS composites could be adjusted by changing the amount of OVS.

Today, with the introduction of interferon-free direct-acting antivirals and outstanding progresses in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis C virus(HCV) infection, the elimination of HCV infection seems more achievable. A further challenge is continued transmission of HCV infection in high-risk population specially injecting drug users(IDUs) as the major reservoir of HCV infection. Considering the fact that most of these infections remain undiagnosed, unidentified HCVinfected IDUs are potential sources for the rapid spread of HCV in the community. The continuous increase in the number of IDUs along with the rising prevalence of HCV infection among young IDUs is harbinger of a forthcoming public health dilemma, presenting a serious challenge to control transmission of HCV infection. Even the changes in HCV genotype distribution attributed to injecting drug use confirm this issue. These circumstances create a strong demand for timely diagnosis and proper treatment of HCV-infected patients through risk-based screening to mitigate the risk of HCV transmission in the IDUs community and, consequently, in the society. Meanwhile, raising general awareness of HCV infection, diagnosis and treatment through public education should be the core activity of any harm reduction intervention, as the root cause of failure in control of HCV infection has been lack of awareness among young drug takers. In addition, effective prevention, comprehensive screening programs with a specific focus on high-risk population, accessibility to the new anti-HCV treatment regimens and public education should be considered as the top priorities of any health policy decision to eliminate HCV infection.

The increasing use of light alloys owing to their high performance makes magnesium alloys very attractive for the use in automotive and biomedical ***,it is well known that magnesium and its alloys have poor corrosion resistance in different atmospheric and aqueous *** a means of improving corrosion resistance through the microstructure modification,electron beam processing(EBP)was applied on the as-cast AZ91 magnesium *** evaluate the microstructure influence on the corrosion-resistant,the EB processed samples underwent a solution heat treatment and an artificial aging heat *** different obtained microstructures were investigated by standard microscopy and electrochemical corrosion tests to evaluate the microstructure and its effects on the corrosion resistance of AZ91 *** EBPed specimens show a significant microstructure refinement and homogenous distribution ofβ-phase at the grain boundaries surrounded by supersaturatedα-Mg which acts as a barrier against *** electrochemical corrosion test of the samples immersed in 3.5 wt%NaCl after 4 weeks indicates that the EBP improves the corrosion resistance of the alloy due to the nobler corrosion potential of supersaturated a-Mg and more stable protective hydroxide films compared to the heat-treated and as-cast conditions.

From an epidemiological point of view,hepatitis E is an old infection in Iran,but only recently has its importance as a public health concern been considered from research and public health *** such,there is still a long road ahead to clarify the real burden of hepatitis E virus (HEV) infection in *** to the available epidemiological studies,the seroprevalence of HEV infection among pregnant women is between 3.6% and 7.4%,and among Iranian children is between 0.9% to 8.5%,varying by geographic regions within the country and directly dependent upon the sanitary status of *** addition to evaluating the sanitation level of a society,community-based seroprevalence studies of HEV infection demonstrate the most prevalent risk factors,the major routes of transmission,and the epidemiological patterns of HEV among that country's *** this review,the current knowledge about the pathogenesis and epidemiology of HEV infection in pregnant women and children in Iran,as well as the recent advances in diagnosis,prevention and treatment of HEV infection have been summarized.
