To develop suitable sealants for intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells （IT-SOFC）, glass-ceramics based on the CaO-BaO-B203-AI203-Si02 system were studied. Coefficient of thermal expansion （CTE）, glass transition temperature （Tg） and dilatometric softening point temperature （Td） of specimens were determined by means of dilatometer analysis and crystallization temperature was measured by differential thermal analysis （DTA）. Also, crystallization behavior during prolonged heat-treatment and microstructure properties were studied by means of X-ray diffraction （XRD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, respectively. Electrical properties were measured at different temperatures, and the results showed a high resistance （〉104 Ω） at the SOFC operation temperature （600-800 ℃）. Moreover, mechanical properties of heat-treated specimens （1, 10, 30, 50 h） were measured, Microstructure investigation revealed a well-adhered bonding between the sealant glass-ceramic electrolyte and glass.

Intelligent food packaging with the multisensory analysis is promising as the next generation technology of food *** oxygen content in food packaging is one of the crucial parameters affecting the food quality and shelf *** is among the most nutritious and costly food ***,a photonic oxygen-sensing system,based on the time-resolved phosphorescence spectroscopy of a platinum complex,is developed for non-contact,non-intrusive,and real-time vacuum packaging quality control,and implemented for caviar *** sensor is embedded in protective polyethylene layers and excited with a short-pulsed light emitting diode(LED)*** of a blue pulsed light source,a fast and amplified silicon photodiode controlled by the Spartan-6 field programmable gate array(FPGA),and a long lifetime platinum complex results in a photonics-based oxygen sensor with a fast response and high sensitivity to the vacum packaging damage,which is suitable for *** is revealed that applying the polyethylene layers protects the caviar from the platinum complex,leaching while not interfering with the sensor *** the photonic system based on its sensitivity,repeatability,stability,and long-term operation demonstrates its capability for this application.

Kink-band Kinematic Analysis and its Implications for Late-stage Deformation in the Internal Parts of the Zagros Collision(Sanandaj–Sirjan Zone) in West Iran

In the internal parts of the Zagros collision zone, several deformation phases have been superimposed. The early deformation phase caused the development of a penetrative foliation. The late-stage deformation phase was preferentially accommodated within shear zones and caused the generation of shear bands, implying a non-coaxial component of deformation, the end of this stage deformation was marked by the development of kink-bands. In the vicinity of Zagros suture zone, the kink angle increased from 40° to 60°, and the kink-bands was converted to chevron folds. In this region, the external(α) and internal(β) angular ratio is α/β ≠ 1 and kink angle increased, and deformation occurred with 10% to 30% volume loss. Farther from the suture zone in the east, α/β = 1;and total volume was constant or increased by 5% to 10%. Kink-bands kinematic analysis in the study area revealed this structures were sensitive to deformation conditions and components such that, with decreasing distance to the Zagros suture zone, shearing and rotation increased, a high kinematic vorticity dominated, and volume loss occurred during deformation.

This research comprehensively investigates the flow and thermal characteristics of a pulsating impinging jet over a dimpled *** analyzes the impact of key parameters(e.g.,inlet velocity pulsation functions,pulsation frequency,amplitude,dimple pitch,dimple depth,Reynolds number)on flow patterns and heat *** computational fluid dynamics and the Re-normalization group turbulence model are employed to accurately simulate complex turbulent flow *** and average heat transfer coefficients are calculated and compared to steady impingement cases,revealing the potential benefits of pulsation for heat transfer *** study also examines how pulsation-induced flow modulation and thermal mixing affect heat transfer *** indicate that combining fluctuating flow with a dimpled surface can improve heat transfer *** summary,increasing pulsation amplitude consistently enhances heat transfer,while the effect of frequency varies between impinging and wall jet zones.

Chemical fertilizers,such as potash,have a strong tendency to cake when exposed to *** this work,a novel synchrotron-based X-ray tomography 3D-imaging technique was for the first time employed to investigate the solid bridge formation from 2D and 3D *** processing and a theoretical model were presented to demonstrate recrystallization near contact points between potash particles during a conventional drying *** effect of initial moisture content on the water activity of surface surrounding the contact points was *** results showed that by increasing the moisture content of particles(3%–5%),the dissolution of sylvite increased and the solid bridge length between potash particles was enlarged from 28μm to 44μm due to supersaturation *** addition,the external porosity of potash particles at the end of drying process decreased from 25.3%to 19.5%for 3%and 5%moisture content,respectively.

Nitrogen-rich heterocyclic energetic compounds (NRHECs) and their salts have witnessed widespread synthesis in recent years. The substantial energy-density content within these compounds can lead to potentially dangerous explosive reactions when subjected to external stimuli such as electrical discharge. Therefore, developing a reliable model for predicting their electrostatic discharge sensitivity (ESD) becomes imperative. This study proposes a novel and straightforward model based on the presence of specific groups (-NH2 or -NH-, -N = N+ -O(- )and -NNO2, -ONO2 or -NO2) under certain conditions to assess the ESD of NRHECs and their salts, employing interpretable structural parameters. Utilizing a comprehensive dataset comprising 54 ESD measurements of NRHECs and their salts, divided into 49/5 training/test sets, the model achieves promising results. The Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and Maximum Error for the training set are reported as 0.16 J, 0.12 J, and 0.5 J, respectively. Notably, the ratios RMSE(training)/RMSE(test), MAE(training)/MAE(test), and Max Error(training)/Max Error(test) are all greater than 1.0, indicating the robust predictive capabilities of the model. The presented model demonstrates its efficacy in providing a reliable assessment of ESD for the targeted NRHECs and their salts, without the need for intricate computer codes or expert involvement. The Pabdeh Formation represents organic matter enrichment in some oil fields,which can be considered a source *** study is based on the Rock–Eval,Iatroscan,and electron microscopy imaging results before and after heating the *** discovered this immature shale that undergoes burial and diagenesis,in which organic matter is converted into *** migration is the process that transports hydrocarbons in the source *** investigated this phenomenon by developing a model that simulates hydrocarbon generation and fluid pressure during kerogen-to-hydrocarbon *** initially formed at the tip/edge of kerogen and were filled with hydrocarbons,but as catagenesis progressed,the pressure caused by the volume increase of kerogen decreased due to hydrocarbon *** transformation of solid kerogen into low-density bitumen/oil increased the pressure,leading to the development of damage zones in the source *** Pabdeh Formation’s small porethroats hindered effective expulsion,causing an increase in pore fluid pressure inside the initial *** stress accumulated due to hydrocarbon production,reaching the rock’s fracture strength,further contributed to damage zone *** the expansion process,microfractures preferentially grew in low-strength pathways such as lithology changes,laminae boundaries,and pre-existing *** the porous pressure created by each kerogen overlapped,individual microfractures interconnected,forming a network of microfractures within the source *** research sheds light on the complex interplay between temperature,hydrocarbon generation,and the development of expulsion fractures in the Pabdeh Formation,providing valuable insights for understanding and optimizing hydrocarbon extraction in similar geological settings.

We present a class of arbitrarily high order fully explicit kinetic numerical methods in compressible fluid dynamics,both in time and space,which include the relaxation schemes by Jin and *** methods can use the CFL number larger or equal to unity on regular Cartesian meshes for the multi-dimensional *** kinetic models depend on a small parameter that can be seen as a"Knudsen"*** method is asymptotic preserving in this Knudsen ***,the computational costs of the method are of the same order of a fully explicit *** work is the extension of Abgrall et al.(2022)[3]to multidimensional *** have assessed our method on several problems for two-dimensional scalar problems and Euler equations and the scheme has proven to be robust and to achieve the theoretically predicted high order of accuracy on smooth solutions.

In this work,a new configuration of an all-optical nonlinear de-multiplexer gate based on two-dimensional(2D)photonic crystals(Ph C)is *** gate is considered in the double-ring resonator shaped structure of silicon *** order to have a more functional structure,some defect rods made of nonlinear materials were positioned in the *** the functionality of the structure,photonic band gap(PBG),field distribution and transmitted power spectra are *** wave expansion and finite difference time domain(FDTD)methods are utilized for extracting the PBG and field distribution *** remarkable dimension,bit rate,maximum intensity and contrast ratio of 116.64μm2,3.125 Tbit/s,97%and 40.2 dB are obtained,respectively,which make the gate an appropriate candidate for utilization in optical integrated circuits.
