Efficient data management is a key issue for environments distributed on a large scale such as the data cloud. This can be taken into account by replicating the data. The replication of data reduces the time of service and the delay in availability, increases the availability, and optimizes the distribution of load in the system. It is worth mentioning, however, that with the replication of data, the use of resources and energy increases due to the storing of copies of the data. We suggest a replication manager that decreases the cost of using resources, energy, and the delay in the system, and also increases the availability of the system. To reach this aim, the suggested replication manager, called the locality replication manager （LRM）, works by using two important algorithms that use the physical adjacency feature of blocks. In addition, a set of simulations are reported to show that LRM can be a suitable option for distributed systems as it uses less energy and resources, optimizes the distribution of load, and has more availability and less delay.

Forecasting soil temperature at multiple depths is considered to be a core decision-making task for examining future changes in surface and sub-surface meteorological processes,land-atmosphere energy exchange,resilient agricultural systems for improved crop health and eco-environmental risk *** aim of this paper is to estimate monthly soil temperature(ST)at multiple depth:5,10,20,50 and 100 cm with a hybrid multi-layer perceptron algorithm integrated with the firefly optimizer algorithm(MLP-FFA).To develop the hybrid MLP-FFA model,the monthly ST and relevant meteorological variables for the city of Adana(Turkey)are collated for the period of 2000–*** of hybrid MLP-FFA model is drawn upon a limited set of predictors,denoted as soil depth,periodicity(or the respective month),air temperature,pressure and solar radiation,while the objective variable for MLP-FFA model is the forecasted ST at multiple *** the evaluate MLPFFA,statistical metrics applied to test the model’s performance are:the root mean square error(RMSE),mean absolute error(MAE),mean absolute percentage error(MAPE)and mean bias error(MBE)where the sign of the difference is also *** conjunction with statistical metrics,a Taylor diagram is utilized to visualize the degree of similarity between the observed and forecasted soil *** terms of the forecasted results,the hybrid MLPFFA model is seen to outperform the standalone MLP *** optimal MLP-FFA is attained for soil temperature forecasting at a depth of 20 cm(RMSE,MAPE of 0.546C,2.40%)whereas the optimal MLP is attained for soil temperature forecasting at a depth of 50 cm(RMSE of 0.544℃,2.21%).Conclusively,the study advocates through statistical metrics attained the better utility of the hybrid MLP-FFA hybrid *** its superior performance,it is ascertained that the hybrid MLP model integrated with Firefly optimizer is a qualified ancillary tool that can be applied to generate precise soil temperat

Objective:To investigate clinical features,ocular findings,management and follow-up data in a series of immunocompetent patients with active ocular ***:A prospective study of 25 immunocompetent patients with first attack of active ocular toxoplasmosis. Age,gender,clinical presentation and ophthalmic examination finding were *** diagnosis was based on typical finding in ophthalmic *** antimicrobials and corticosteroids were given to all *** treatment outcome and side-effects of drugs were ***:Thirteen(52%) patients were male and 12(48%) were *** mean±SD age at presentation was(26.8±11.1) *** involvement was unilateral in 92% of patients and bilateral only in 8%.Lesions were located at the peripheral retina in 48%,at the macula retina in 28%,and at the macula and peripheral retina in 24%of the *** most common presenting symptom was blurred vision(96%),followed by eye pain(28%).All patients received antimicrobials *** corticosteroids were used in 48%of the patients. Clinical response were observed in 44%2 weeks before and in 56%2 weeks *** was improved with treatment except in two *** recurrences occurred during one year follow ***:Our study shows that active ocular toxoplasmosis has no gender predilection and affects young *** involvement is more common in our *** to treatment is good in patients and no recurrences occur during one year *** may have implications in favor of treatment of active ocular toxoplasmosis.

A Pd Schiff base complex was immobilized onto the surface of magnetic MCM‐41(Fe3O4@MCM‐41@Pd(0)‐P2C)as a novel,eco‐friendly,and recyclable heterogeneous nanocatalyst and fully characterized by FT‐IR,VSM,EDS,transmission electron microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,thermogravimetric analyses,ICP‐OES,and X‐ray powder diffraction *** Fe3O4@MCM‐41@Pd(0)‐P2C was investigated as a catalyst for the one‐pot Suzuki and Heck reactions in PEG as a green solvent to provide the target products in excellent *** main advantages of using this catalyst include a short reaction time,green reaction conditions,a simple experimental procedure,non‐use of hazardous organic solvents,low loading of the catalyst,and the ability to use various *** importantly,the catalyst could be easily separated from the reaction mixture with the assistance of an external magnet and could be recovered and reused several times without significant loss of stability and activity.

Production risk caused by human factors： a multiple case study of thermal power plants

Introduction： Thermal power plants are very popular in China. However, there has not been proportional research attention paid to production risk in these plants and human impact on production due to their importance in electricity generation. This study investigates production risks caused by human factors in thermal power plants and management methods to address identified human factors. Case description： Eighteen semi-structured interviews with front-line, middle and senior managers from four thermal power plants in China were carried out in this cross-sectional inductive study. Fault tree analysis and causal network analysis are used. Discussion and evaluation： We identify a range of production risks and human factors potentially influencing production in both negative and positive ways. We also recognize the most effective and practical relevant management methods to deal with identified human factors. Conclusion： By investigating production risk caused by human factors through the whole production process, this study emphasizes working attitude, safety consciousness, creativity and awareness of environmental protection as essential human factors potentially influencing production risks in thermal power plants. Through our analysis, by linking human factors to different types of production risk and supplying corresponding management methods to address these human factors, we offer practical human resource management approaches in the production management of thermal power plants.

This study provides a checklist of species distributed at the altitude gradient of MoghanSabalan rangelands in Ardabili province, Northwest Iran. We evaluated the changes in species composition, growth types of species, Raunkiaer's life forms, geographical distribution, threat and endemicity status, and palatability of species along two altitudinal gradients in the sampling plots, which were conducted in eleven sites/habitats with 300 meters above sea level(masl) altitude intervals(from 100 to 3300 masl). We assessed the plant species composition with special reference to the gradient analysis, and identified overall 396 species, which was comprising 44 families and 194 genera. Results showed that Asteraceae family is by far the most species-rich family, followed by Poaceae, Fabaceae, Caryophyllaceae and Brassicaceae. Among the genera, Astragalus is the most diverse genus, followed by Allium, Veronica and Bromus, Galium, Silene and Ranunculus. Results indicated that the number of species increased as the altitude increased to 1200-1500 masl, but then starts to decline to 3300 masl. Family-to-genera ratio was 1:4.4, the family-tospecies ratio was 1:9, and the genera-to-species ratio was 1:2.04. Growth type of species analysis shows that the frequency of perennial plants was higher in the study area followed by annual species while the lower group was biennial species. The number of annuals showed a decreasing trend towards higher altitude. Hemicryptophytes and therophytes were the most frequent life forms constituted each with(41.9%). Hemicryptophytes showed an increasing trend with altitude, while therophytes showed a decreasing trend with altitude increase, followed by geophytes, chamaephytes, and phanerophytes. Results showed more than half of the species of the study area belonged to Iran-Turanian region and these species showed an increasing trend with altitude. As the number of immigration and their later generations grow in the workforce of more developed Western countries, understanding the processes and consequences of acculturation has gained a new level of importance. An old and re-emerging issue is the morality and reparative behavior in Western versus Eastern cultures, as well as its antecedents and consequences. We examined the effects of acculturation on the perception of psychological proximity, the intensity of moral emotions of shame and guilt, and the degree of compensation to victims of one＇s wrongdoing. Our sample was comprised of a collectivistic group from a shame culture, China, and an acculturated group of Chinese living in a much less collectivistic society of a guilt culture, Canada. Our results indicated that participants＇ perception of psychological proximity to other people and the level of compensation offered to the victims of transgression were significantly different among the two samples. Furthermore, shame and guilt mediated the relationship between perceived psychological proximity and the decision to compensate differently.
