Using neural network modeling to improve the detection accuracy of land subsidence due to groundwater withdrawal

Despite the high efficiency of remote sensing methods for rapid and large-scale detection of subsidence phenomena,this technique has limitations such as atmospheric impact and temporal and spatial decorrelation that affect the accuracy of the *** paper proposes a method based on an artificial neural network to improve the results of monitoring land subsidence due to groundwater overexploitation by radar interferometry in the Aliabad plain(Central Iran).In this regard,vertical ground deformations were monitored over 18 months using the Sentinel-1A SAR *** model the land subsidence by a multilayer perceptron(MLP)artificial neural network,four parameters,including groundwater level,alluvial thickness,elastic modulus,and transmissivity have been *** model's generalizability was assessed using data derived for 144 *** to the results,the neural network estimates the land subsidence at each ground point with an accuracy of 6.8 mm.A comparison between the predicted and actual values indicated a significant *** MLP model can be used to improve the results of subsidence detection in the study area or other areas with similar characteristics.

Solvent extraction（SX） of rubidium（Rb） from leaching filtrate of gold waste（GW） in Mouteh Processing Plant by 18-crown-6（18C6） was studied. High potential of new column flotoextraction（CFE） method in extraction of Rb from dilute solutions was also demonstrated. First, the factors affecting SX of Rb from a synthetic rubidium sulfate solution(containing 100 mg·L-1Rb) were identified.0.05 mol·L-118C6 in kerosene, 0.02 mol·L-1picric acid in aqueous phase, aqueous to organic（A/O） ratio of 1, p H7 and mixing time of 15 min are the optimum values for affective factors. The three-stage precipitation with sodium carbonate, p H adjustment with sulfuric acid and two-stage evaporation and crystallization were conducted to purify the leaching from impurities such as Fe, Al, Mn, Ca and especially competing cations of K and Na. Almost complete extraction of Rb and K from final filtrate containing 0.08 mol·L-1picric acid was performed using 0.2 mol·L-118C6 in kerosene. The Rb and K strippings of 99.12 % and 9.93 %, respectively, are obtained with 2 mol·L-1nitric acid with A/O ratio of 2. Finally, the performance comparison of the CFE and SX methods in similar conditionsshows increased extraction of K and Rb by 16 % and 5 %,respectively, using CFE method.

Background: Obesity is a major public health problem and its occurrence is markedly increasing in developed and developing countries. However, few studies have investigated the use of natural products to treat obesity. The effects of taking a combination of oxymel and Zataria multiflora Boiss.(ZM), herein referred to as Zataria oxymel(ZO), on obesity, lipid profile and insulin resistance have not yet been ***: This study evaluates the effects of oxymel and ZO on obesity, lipid profile and insulin ***, setting, participants and interventions: In this randomized, controlled, triple-blind trial, overweight patients were randomly divided into three groups and received doses of study compounds twice per day for twelve weeks. Group A received 0.75 g ZM in 10 mL oxymel in each treatment;group B received 1.5 g ZM in 10 m L of oxymel in each treatment and group C(control) only received 10 mL of oxymel in each *** outcome measures: Anthropometric parameters, including body mass index(BMI), waist circumference and hip circumference, were measured at the time of registration. Blood tests were carried out at the beginning and once again at end of the study. Blood parameters included fasting blood sugar(FBS), insulin levels, serum lipid profile(total cholesterol, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and highdensity lipoprotein cholesterol) and liver enzymes(aspartate transaminase and alanine transaminase).Serum creatinine was also measured at the beginning of the project and in monthly intervals for three months. The homeostasis model assessment index was calculated as fasting insulin(μIU/mL)×FBS(mg/dL)/***: The results showed that patients receiving ZO experienced significant reduction in waist circumference in groups A, B and C, respectively(P < 0.001) but no significant change in BMI. ＜正＞This study had two distinct objectives. First, to examine the relationships between metacognitions and general mental health. Second, to identify specific metacognitions as unique predictors of depression and anxiety. Results suggest that the five types of negative metacognitive beliefs measured by the Metacognitions Questionnaire （MCQ）（Cartwright-Hatton, ＆ Wells 2000） are significantly correlated with one another and with aspects of mental health. Discriminant analysis was performed with depression and anxiety as dependent variables and the MCQ subscales as predictor variables.

AIM: To determine serum γ-glutamyltransferase (GGT), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activity, and to assess their correlation with demographic and clinical findings in healthy blood donors. METHODS: This cross-sectional study was performed in 934 male blood donors, aged 18 to 68 years, who consecutively attended Tehran blood transfusion service in 2006. All participants were seronegative for HBV or HCV infections, non alcohol users, and all underwent a standard interview and anthropometric tests. Clinical and biochemical parameters including AST, ALT, and GGT activities were determined. Patients taking drugs known to cause hepatic fat deposition were excluded. For AST, ALT, and GGT variables, we used 33.33 and 66.66 percentiles, so that each of them was divided into three tertiles. RESULTS: Mean AST, ALT, and GGT activities were 25.26 ± 12.58 U/L (normal range 5-35 U/L), 33.13 ± 22.98 (normal range 5-35 U/L), and 25.11 ± 18.32 (normal range 6-37 U/L), respectively. By univariate analyses, there were significant associations between increasing AST, ALT, or GGT tertiles and age, body weight, body mass index, and waist and hip circumferences (P < 0.05). By multiple linear regression analyses, ALT was found to be positively correlated with dyslipidemia (B = 6.988, P = 0.038), whereas ALT and AST were negatively correlated with age. AST, ALT, and GGT levels had positive correlation with family history of liver disease (B = 15.763, P < 0.001), (B = 32.345, P < 0.001), (B =24.415, P < 0.001), ***: Although we did not determine the cutoffs of the upper normal limits for AST, ALT, and GGT levels, we would suggest screening asymptomatic patients with dyslipidemia and also subjects with a family history of liver disease.

Objective:To determine the sensitivity of Blattela germanica L(*** L) to differenct doses of ***:*** were reared in laboratory conditions at(25±2) ℃ and(50±5)%relative humidity(RH),and exposure period of 12:12 L/*** concentrations,viz.5,10,15,20 and 25 μ of insulin N,R,(N+R) were prepared and injected to 10 treated cockroaches with another 10 cockroaches which were injected with normal saline as control ***:Insulin N with a dose of 20 μ caused more than 70%mortality of *** in this *** was a significant difference between 20 μ of insulin N with other doses of 5,10,15 and 25 μ,and its comparison with other forms of medication also showed obvious difference(P<0.05).Conclusions:It can be concluded that effective drug doses of insulin which can be used as posion bait or gel against German cockroaches could be utilized in the control of *** in the future field studies.
