The mechanism and regioselectivity of 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of N-[methyl]-C-[5-nitro-2-furyl] nitrilimine with dimethyl 7-oxabicyclo[2,2,1]hepta-2,5-diene-2,3-dicarboxylate were investigated using activation energy calculations and density functional theory-based reactivity indexes. The reaction proceeds by an asynchronous concerted mechanism. The calculations are performed at the B3LYP/6-31G（d） level of theory and the obtained results are in agreement with experimental outcome.

The regiochemistry of 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions of C,N-diphenyl nitrone with some vinyl sulfoximines as dipolarophile was investigated using density functional theory （DFT）-based reactivity indexes and activation energy calculations at B3LYP/6-31G（d） level of theory. Analysis of the geometries and bond orders （BOs） at the TS structures associated with the different reaction pathways shows that these 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reac- tions occur via an asynchronous concerted mechanism. Analysis of the local electrophilicity and nucleophilicity in- dexes permits an interpretation about the regioselectivity of these 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions. The theoretical results obtained in the work clearly predict the regiochemistry of the isolated cycloadducts and agree to experimental outcomes.

Cesium carbonate supported on hydroxyapatite coated ***2O4 magnetic nanoparticles （***2O4@Hap-Cs2CO3） was found to be magnetically separable, highly efficient, green and recyclable heterogeneous catalyst. The synthesized nanocatalyst has been characterized with several methods （FT-IR, SEM, TEM, XRD and XRF） and these analyzes confirmed which the cesium carbonate is well supported to catalyst surface. After full characterization, its catalytic activity was investigated in the synthesis of pyranopyrazole derivatives and the reactions were carried out at room temperature in 50：50 water/ethanol with excellent yields （88-95%）. More importantly, the ***204@Hap-Cs2CO3 was easily separated from the reaction mixture by external magnetic field and efficiently reused at least six runs without any loss of its catalytic activity. Thus, the developed nanomagnetic base catalyst is potentially useful for the green and economic production of organic compounds.

Silica gel-supported polyphosphoric acid （PPA-SiO2） was found to be an efficient catalyst for the one-pot four-component Hantzsch condensation reaction of aryl aldehydes, dimedone, ethyl acetoacetate and ammonium acetate to afford the corresponding polyhydroquinoline derivatives in high yields. The main advantages of the present approach are short reaction times, clean reaction profiles, simple experimental and workup procedures.

1,3-Dipolar cycloaddition between methyl methacrylate as dipolarophile and some nitrilimines which were generated in situ afforded the new pyrazoles. The regiochemistry and reactivity of these reactions has been investigated on the basis of density functional theory （DFT）-based reactivity indexes and activation energy calculations. The theoretical 13C NMR chemical shifts of the cycloadducts which were obtained by GIAO method were comparable with the observed values.

Silver (I) was removed from aqueous environment by aloe vera shell ash supported Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 magnetic *** adsorbent was characterized by several methods including X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), BETisotherm, vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). To determine the absorptionof silver (I) by this adsorbent, different pH values (2?7), adsorbent dose (0.01?0.5 g), concentrations of Ag+ (50, 100, 200, 300, 500,700 and 1000 mg/L) and exposure time (5?100 min) were experimented. The highest removal efficiency of Ag+ was achieved underoptimum condition (30 min and pH=5). The optimum adsorbent dose was 0.20 g (in 50 mL of 100 mg/L Ag+ solution), whichachieved a removal efficiency of 98.3%. The maximum monolayer adsorption capacity based on the Langmuir isotherm is243.90 mg/g. Characterization results revealed that specific surface area and porous volume were 814.23 m2/g and 0.726 cm3/g,respectively. The experimental data were fitted well with the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models. Synthesized adsorbent has desired surface area and adsorptive capacity for silver (I) adsorption in aquatic environment.

A new magnetically separable catalyst consisting of ferric hydrogen sulfate supported on silica-coated nickel ferrite nanoparticles was *** synthesized catalyst was characterized using vibrating sample magnetometry,X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,and Fourier transform infrared *** new magnetic catalyst was shown to be an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for the synthesis of 1,8- dioxodecahydroacridines under solvent-free *** catalyst is readily recovered by simple magnetic decantation and can be recycled several times with no significant loss of catalytic activity.

A novel magnetic acidic catalyst comprising Preyssler(H14[Na P5W30O110]) heteropoly acid support‐ed on silica coated nickel ferrite nanoparticles (Ni Fe2O4@Si O2) was *** catalyst was characterized by Fourier transform infrared,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,X‐ray diffraction,energy dispersive spectrum,VSM and particle size *** catalytic activity was investigated for the synthesis of bis(dihydropyrimidinone)benzene and 3,4‐dihydropyrimidin‐2(1H)‐ones derivatives by the Biginelli *** the catalyst,the reac‐tions occurred in less than 1 h with good to excellent *** importantly,the catalyst was easily separated from the reaction mixture by an external magnet and reused at least five times without degradation in the activity.
