Termites are eusocial arthropod decomposers,and improve soil fertility,crop yield,and also are used by humans for their ben efits across the ***,some species of termites are becoming a threat to the farming community as they are directly and indirectly causing major losses to the agricultural *** is estimated that termites cost the global economy more than 40 billion USD annually,and considerable research has been done on their *** this review,we present the available information related to sustainable and integrated termite management practices(ITM).Furthermore,we insist that the better management of this menace can be possible through:(i)improving traditional methods to keep termites away from crops;(ii)improving agricultural practices to maintain plants with more vigor and less susceptible to termite attack;and(iii)integration of available techniques to reduce termite infestation in crops and *** application of an effective combination of traditional practices with recently developed approaches is the best option for agricultural ***,keeping in mind the beneficial nature of this pest,more innovative efforts for its management,particularly using rapidly emerging technology(e.g.,RNA interference),are needed.

The healthcare industry deals with highly sensitive data which must be managed in a secure *** Health Records(EHRs)hold various kinds of personal and sensitive data which contain names,addresses,social security numbers,insurance numbers,and medical *** personal data is valuable to the patients,healthcare service providers,medical insurance companies,and research ***,the public release of this highly sensitive personal data poses serious privacy and security threats to patients and healthcare service ***,we foresee the requirement of new technologies to address the privacy and security challenges for personal data in healthcare *** is one of the promising solutions,aimed to provide transparency,security,and privacy using consensus-driven decentralised data management on top of peer-to-peer distributed computing ***,to solve the mentioned problems in healthcare applications,in this paper,we investigate the use of private blockchain technologies to assess their feasibility for healthcare *** create testing scenarios using HyperLedger Fabric to explore different criteria and use-cases for healthcare ***,we thoroughly evaluate the representative test case scenarios to assess the blockchain-enabled security criteria in terms of data confidentiality,privacy and access *** experimental evaluation reveals the promising benefits of private blockchain technologies in terms of security,regulation compliance,compatibility,flexibility,and scalability.

A Systematic Approach for Cyber Security in Vehicular Networks

Vehicular Networks (VANET) are the largest real-life paradigm of ad hoc networks which aim to ensure road safety and enhance drivers’ comfort. In VANET, the vehicles communicate or collaborate with each other and with adjacent infrastructure by exchanging significant messages, such as road accident warnings, steep-curve ahead warnings or traffic jam warnings. However, this communication and other assets involved are subject to major threats and provide numerous opportunities for attackers to launch several attacks and compromise security and privacy of vehicular users. This paper reviews the cyber security in VANET and proposes an asset-based approach for VANET security. Firstly, it identifies relevant assets in VANET. Secondly, it provides a detailed taxonomy of vulnerabilities and threats on these assets, and, lastly, it classifies the possible attacks in VANET and critically evaluates them.

Anticonvulsant, Anxiolytic and Neurotoxicity Profile of Aqarqarha (<i>Anacyclus pyrethrum</i>) DC (Compositae) Root Ethanolic Extract

Ethnopharmacological relevance: Aqarqarha (Anacyclus pyrethrum) DC root has long been used as a traditional an-tiepileptic remedy in Unani system of medicine over centuries. Aim of the Study: To rationalize the ethnomedical claim and screen for anxiolytic and neurotoxicity profile of ethanolic extract of Aqarqarha (Anacyclus pyrethrum) root (APE). Materials and Methods: The anticonvulsant and anxiolytic potential of APE (100-800 mg/kg) was evaluated against Pentylenetetrazole (PTZ), Bicuculline (BCL), Increasing current electroshock (ICES) and Elevated plus maze(EPM) models. Rotarod test was employed as neurotoxicity model including an additional higher dose (1600 mg/kg). Results: The APE showed significant anticonvulsant activity (p i.p.) in a dose-dependent manner but against BCL (30 mg/kg, i.p.) at the dose 800 mg/kg only (p 0.05). The extract also showed anxiolytic behaviour in EPM (p Conclusions: The results suggested significant anticonvulsant activity of APE against PTZ and BCL but failure against ICES. Moreover, APE also exhibited anxiolytic potential without any evidence of neurotoxicity at the effective dose level. We concluded that anticonvulsant effect of APE is probably mediated by enhancing GABAergic neurotransmission.

Heat Transfer Analysis of MHD Power Law Nano Fluid Flow through Annular Sector Duct

Flow and heat transfer analysis of an electrically conducting MHD power law nano fluid is carried out through annular sector duct,under the influence of constant pressure *** types of nano particles(*** and TiO2)are used in power law nano *** implicit procedure,(SIP)is used to simulate the discretized coupled algebraic *** has been observed that volume fraction of nano particles,ϕand magnetic field parameter,Ha are favourable for the heat transfer rate,however,both resist the fluid *** of applied uniform transverse magnetic field exceeds in the case of shear thickening fluids(i.e.n>1)by increasing the value of Ha as compared to that in shear thinning fluids(i.e.n<1).Therefore,enhancement in heat transfer rate is comparably more in shear thickening ***,comparable limiting case study with published result is also carried out in this research paper.

Wireless Body Area Sensor Network(WBASN)is an automated system for remote health monitoring of *** under umbrella of Internet of Things(IoT)is comprised of small Biomedical Sensor Nodes(BSNs)that can communicate with each other without human *** BSNs can be placed on human body or inside the skin of the patients to regularly monitor their vital *** BSNs generate critical data as it is related to patient’s *** data traffic can be classified as Sensitive Data(SD)and Non-sensitive Data(ND)packets based on the value of vital *** data packets have different priority to *** ND packets may tolerate some delay or packet loss whereas,the SD packets required to be delivered on time with minimized packet loss otherwise it can be life threating to the *** this research,we propose a Traffic Priority-aware Medical Data Dissemination(TPMD2)scheme forWBASN to deliver the data packets according to their priority based on the sensitivity of the *** assessment of the proposed scheme is carried out in various *** simulation results of the TPMD2 scheme indicate a significant improvement in packets delivery,transmission delay and energy efficiency in comparison with the existing schemes.

Rayleigh Waves Propagation in an Infinite Rotating Thermoelastic Cylinder

In this paper,we investigated the inuence of rotating half-space on the propagation of Rayleigh waves in a homogeneous isotropic,generalized thermo-elastic body,subject to the boundary conditions that the surface is traction *** addition,it is subject to insulating thermal conduction.A general solution is obtained by using Lame’potential’s and Hankel *** dispersion equations has been derived separately for two types of Rayleigh wave propagation properties by solving the equations of motion with appropriate boundary *** is observed that the rotation,frequency and r exert some influence in the homogeneous isotropic medium due to propagation of Rayleigh *** frequency equation has been derived of homogeneous properties by solving the equations of motion with appropriate boundary *** has been found that the frequency equation of waves contains a term involving the ***,the phase velocity of Rayleigh waves changes with respect to this *** the rotating vanishes,the derived frequency equation reduces to that obtained in classical generalized thermo-elastic case which includes the relaxation time of heat *** order to illustrate the analytical development,the numerical solution is carried out and computer simulated results in respect of Rayleigh wave velocity and attenuation coefficient are presented graphysically.A comparative and remarkable study has been carried out through various graphs to deliberate the consequences of different parameter on the frequency *** obtained results can be very useful in the design and optimization of Rayleigh wave.
