Heating of nanoparticles and their environment by laser radiation and applications

Fluoride contamination in groundwater:A global review of the status,processes,challenges,and remedial measures

Groundwater pollution by fluoride is one of the prime concerns of the world population due to its toxicity,which results in adverse health *** this paper,we review the current scenario of the fluoride contamination of groundwater in various countries across the globe and its impact on human *** the last decade,several newly affected regions have been reported all over the world,with more than 100 countries affected by fluoride contamination in groundwater(concentration exceeding the acceptable limit of 1.5 mg/L defined by the World Health Organization).Fluoride poisoning is mainly due to the unsupervised ingestion of products for dental and oral hygiene and over-fluoridated drinking *** is estimated that more than 200 million people from different countries are affected by fluoriderelated groundwater issues and health *** highest among these are from the countries in Africa(38),Asia(28),and europe(24),followed by countries like South America(5),North America(3),and Australia(2).The source of fluoride in drinking water is primarily geogenic,together with forage,grasses and grains,tea,and anthropogenic *** countries affected were correlated with climatic zones and geological factors to gain insights into geospatial *** analyses show that most of the fluoride pollution-prone zones are located in high-grade metamorphic terranes with granitoid or alkaline intrusions,geothermal hot springs,and volcanic regions with arid or semi-arid climatic *** study also finds that children across the globe are more vulnerable than adults to fluoride *** review finds that,although there are efficient fluoride removal techniques,including filters with next-generation nanomaterials,to date,there has not been a single technique developed that can claim to be a practically robust solution for fluoride removal from drinking ***,we suggest developing next-generation filters that can retain essential miner

Skin colour is an important criterion in determining the aesthetic appeal of ornamental fishes,and thus their market *** the pigment enhancement in ornamental fishes has been the subject of extensive research by using various synthetic as well as natural pigment *** composition is one of the most important elements that influence the development of pigmentation in *** study is an attempt to assess the possibility of using carotenogenic marine yeast as pigment enhancer in fish diet for koi carp,Cyprinus *** 60 days feeding experiment was done by using feed incorporated with mangrove associated marine yeast Rhodotorula paludigena *** pigmentation in the scales of fishes fed with experimental feed was observed than that fed with the control diet(normal pellet feed).Furthermore the improved growth rate and general wellbeing in fishes fed with experimental feed provides scope for further studies in this field with respect to the growth and survival of fishes.

A Hybrid Machine Learning Approach for Improvised Qoe in Video Services over 5G Wireless Networks

Video streaming applications have grown considerably in recent *** a result,this becomes one of the most significant contributors to global internet *** to recent studies,the telecommunications industry loses millions of dollars due to poor video Quality of experience(Qoe)for *** the standard proposals for standardizing the quality of video streaming over internet service providers(ISPs)is the Mean Opinion Score(MOS).However,the accurate finding of Qoe by MOS is subjective and laborious,and it varies depending on the user.A fully automated data analytics framework is required to reduce the inter-operator variability characteristic in Qoe *** work addresses this concern by suggesting a novel hybrid XGBStackQoe analytical model using a two-level layering *** one combines multiple Machine Learning(ML)models via a layer one Hybrid *** ML models at level one are trained using the entire training data *** level two Hybrid XGBStackQoe-Model is fitted using the outputs(meta-features)of the layer one ML *** proposed model outperformed the conventional models,with an accuracy improvement of 4 to 5 percent,which is still higher than the current traditional *** proposed framework could significantly improve video Qoe accuracy.

enhancing Multicriteria-Based Recommendations by Alleviating Scalability and Sparsity Issues Using Collaborative Denoising Autoencoder

A Recommender System(RS)is a crucial part of several firms,particularly those involved in *** conventional RS,a user may only offer a single rating for an item-that is insufficient to perceive consumer ***,businesses in industries like e-learning and tourism enable customers to rate a product using a variety of factors to comprehend customers’*** the other hand,the collaborative filtering(CF)algorithm utilizing Autoencoder(Ae)is seen to be effective in identifying user-interested ***,the cost of these computations increases nonlinearly as the number of items and users *** triumph over the issues,a novel expanded stacked autoencoder(eSAe)with kernel Fuzzy C-Means Clustering(kFCM)technique is proposed with two *** the first phase of offline,the sparse multicriteria rating matrix is smoothened to a complete matrix by predicting the users’intact rating by the eSAe approach and users are clustered using the kFCM *** the next phase of online,the top-N recommendation prediction is made by the eSAe approach involving only the most similar user from multiple *** the eSAe_kFCM model upgrades the prediction accuracy of 98.2%in Top-N recommendation with a minimized recommendation generation *** experimental check on the Yahoo!Movies(YM)movie dataset and TripAdvisor(TA)travel dataset confirmed that the eSAe_kFCM model constantly outperforms conventional RS algorithms on a variety of assessment measures.

Sequential decay analysis of^(235)U(n^(th),f)reaction using fragmentation approach

Numerous experimental and theoretical observations have concluded that the probability of the three fragment emission(ternary fission)or binary fission increases when one proceeds towards the heavy mass region of nuclear periodic *** factors affect fragment emission,such as the shell effect,deformation,orientation,and fissility *** and ternary fissions are observed for both ground and excited states of the *** collinear cluster tripartition(CCT)channel of the^(235)U(n^(th),f)reaction is studied,and we observe that the CCT may be a sequential or simultaneous emission *** date,different approaches have been introduced to study the CCT process as a simultaneous or sequential process,but the decay dynamics of these modes have not been not fully *** the three fragments of the sequential process and exploring their related dynamics using an excitation energy dependent approach would be of further ***,in this study,we investigate the sequential decay mechanism of the^(235)U(n^(th),f)reaction using quantum mechanical fragmentation theory(QMFT).The decay mechanism is considered in two steps,where initially,the nucleus splits into an asymmetric *** the second step,the heavy fragment obtained in the first step divides into two *** I analysis is conducted by calculating the fragmentation potential and preformation probability for the spherical and deformed choices of the decaying *** most probable fragment combination of stage I are identified with respect to the dips in the fragmentation structure and the corresponding maxima of the preformation probability(P0).The light fragments of the identified decay channels(obtained in step I)agree closely with the experimentally observed *** excitation energy of the decay channel is calculated using an iteration *** excitation energy is shared using an excitation energy dependent level density *** obtained excitation
