Ultrasonic destruction of albumin microbubbles enhances gene transfection and expression in cardiac myocytes

Background It has been proven that ultrasonic destruction of microbubbles can enhance gene transfection efficiency into the noncardiac cells, but there are few reports about cardiac myocytes. Moreover, the exact mechanisms are not yet clear; whether the characteristic of microbubbles can affect the gene transfection efficiency or not is still *** study was designed to investigate whether the ultrasound destruction of gene-loaded microbubbles could enhance the plasmids carried reporter gene transfection in primary cultured myocardial cell, and evaluate the effects of microbubbles characteristics on the transgene expression in cardiac *** The β-galactosidase plasmids attached to the two types of microbubbles, air-contained sonicated dextrose albumin （ASDA） and perfluoropropane-exposed sonicated dextrose albumin （PESDA） were prepared. The gene transfection into cardiac myocytes was performed in vitro by naked plasmids, ultrasound exposure, ultrasonic destruction of gene-loaded microbubbles and calcium phosphate precipitation, and then the gene expression and cell viability were *** The ultrasonic destruction of gene-loaded microbubbles enhanced gene expression in cardiac myocytes compared with naked plasmid transfection （（51.95±2..41） U/g or （29.28±3.65） U/g vs. （0.84-0.21） U/g, P ＜0.01）, and ultrasonic destruction PESDA resulted in more significant gene expression than ASDA （（51.95e2.41） U/g vs. （29.28±3.65）U/g, P ＜0.05）. Dietary inflammatory index and its impact on severity and recurrence of Tourette syndrome in children

Debris flow runout behaviors considering the influences of densely populated buildings

Debris flows pose serious risks to communities in mountainous areas,often resulting in large losses of human life and *** impeding presence of urban buildings often affects the runout behavior and deposition of debris *** the impact of different building densities and sizes on debris flow dynamics has yet to be quantified to guide urban planning in debris flow risk *** study focused on a debris flow that occurred in Zhouqu County,Gansu Province,China on August 7th,2010,which was catastrophic and destroyed many *** FLO-2D software was used to simulate this debris flow in two scenarios,*** presence and the absence of buildings,to obtain debris-flow intensity *** developed model was then used to further analyze the influence of large buildings and narrow channels within the urban *** simulation results show that considering the presence of buildings in the simulation is essential for accurate assessment of debris flow intensity and deposition *** layout of buildings in the upstream urban area,such as large buildings or parallel buildings which form narrow channels,can affect the flow velocity and depth of debris flow heading towards downstream *** mitigate damage to downstream buildings,the relative spacing(d/a)between upstream and downstream buildings should not exceed a value of two and should ideally be even *** findings provide valuable insights for improving the resistance of mountainous cities to urban debris flows.

By employing metal oxides as oxygen carriers,chemical looping demonstrates its effectiveness in transferring oxygen between reduction and oxidation environments to partially oxidize fuels into syngas and convert CO_(2)into ***,NiFe_(2_)O_(4)oxygen carriers have demonstrated remarkable efficiency in chemical looping CO_(2)***,the intricate process of atomic migration and evolution within the internal structure of bimetallic oxygen carriers during continuous high‐temperature redox cycling remains ***,the lack of a fundamental understanding of the complex ionic migration and oxygen transfer associated with energy conversion processes hampers the design of high‐performance oxygen ***,in this study,we employed in situ characterization techniques and theoretical calculations to investigate the ion migration behavior and structural evolution in the bulk of NiFe_(2_)O_(4)oxygen carriers during H2 reduction and CO_(2)/lab air oxidation *** discovered that during the H2 reduction step,lattice oxygen rapidly migrates to vacancy layers to replenish consumed active oxygen species,while Ni leaches from the material and migrates to the *** the CO_(2)splitting step,Ni migrates toward the core of the bimetallic oxygen carrier,forming Fe–Ni *** the air oxidation step,Fe–Ni migrates outward,creating a hollow structure owing to the Kirkendall effect triggered by the swift transfer of lattice *** metal atom migration paths depend on the oxygen transfer *** discoveries highlight the significance of regulating the release–recovery rate of lattice oxygen to uphold the structures and reactivity of oxygen *** work offers a comprehensive understanding of the oxidation/reduction‐driven atomic interdiffusion behavior of bimetallic oxygen carriers.

Newtonian limit of Einstein equation with a cosmological constant

The broader application of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)is constrained by safety concerns arising from thermal runaway(TR).Accurate prediction of TR is essential to comprehend its underlying mechanisms,expedite battery design,and enhance safety protocols,thereby significantly promoting the safer use of *** complex,nonlinear nature of LIB systems presents substantial challenges in TR modeling,stemming from the need to address multiscale simulations,multiphysics coupling,and computing efficiency *** paper provides an extensive review and outlook on TR modeling technologies,focusing on recent advances,current challenges,and potential future *** begin with an overview of the evolutionary processes and underlying mechanisms of TR from multiscale perspectives,laying the foundation for TR *** a comprehensive understanding of TR phenomena and mechanisms,we introduce a multiphysics coupling model framework to encapsulate these *** this framework,we detail four fundamental physics modeling approaches:thermal,electrical,mechanical,and fluid dynamic models,highlighting the primary challenges in developing and integrating these *** address the intrinsic trade-off between computational accuracy and efficiency,we discuss several promising modeling strategies to accelerate TR simulations and explore the role of AI in advancing next-generation TR ***,we discuss challenges related to data availability,model scalability,and safety standards and regulations.
