Transformer tracking always takes paired template and search images as encoder input and conduct feature extraction and target‐search feature correlation by self and/or cross attention operations,thus the model complexity will grow quadratically with the number of input *** alleviate the burden of this tracking paradigm and facilitate practical deployment of Transformer‐based trackers,we propose a dual pooling transformer tracking framework,dubbed as DPT,which consists of three components:a simple yet efficient spatiotemporal attention model(SAM),a mutual correlation pooling Trans-former(MCPT)and a multiscale aggregation pooling Transformer(MAPT).SAM is designed to gracefully aggregates temporal dynamics and spatial appearance information of multi‐frame templates along space‐time *** aims to capture multi‐scale pooled and correlated contextual features,which is followed by MAPT that aggregates multi‐scale features into a unified feature representation for tracking *** tracker achieves AUC score of 69.5 on LaSOT and precision score of 82.8 on Track-ingNet while maintaining a shorter sequence length of attention tokens,fewer parameters and FLOPs compared to existing state‐of‐the‐art(SOTA)Transformer tracking *** experiments demonstrate that DPT tracker yields a strong real‐time tracking baseline with a good trade‐off between tracking performance and inference efficiency.

Climate change significantly impacts human health,exacerbating existing health inequalities and creating new *** study addresses the lack of systematic review in this area by analyzing 2440 publications,focusing on four key terms:health,disparities,environmental factors,and climate *** inclusion criteria limited the selection to English-language,peer-reviewed articles related to climate health hazards,ensuring the relevance and rigor of the synthesized *** process synthesized 65 relevant *** investigation revealed that recent research,predominantly from developed countries,has broadened its scope beyond temperature-related impacts to encompass diverse climate hazards,including droughts,extreme weather,floods,mental health issues,and the intersecting effects of Coronavirus Disease *** has highlighted exposure as the most studied element in the causal chain of climate change-related health inequalities,followed by adaptive capability and inherent *** most significant vulnerabilities were observed among populations with low socioeconomic status,ethnic minorities,and *** study further reveals research biases and methodological limitations,such as the paucity of attention to underdeveloped regions,a narrow focus on non-temperature-related hazards,challenges in attributing climate change effects,and a deficit of large-scale empirical *** findings call for more innovative research approaches and a holistic integration of physical,socio-political,and economic dimensions to enrich climate-health discourse and inform equitable policy-making.

The adenosine monophosphate(AMP)-activated protein kinase(AMPK)sits at a cen-tral node in the regulation of energy metabolism and tumor *** is best known to sense high cellular ADP or AMP levels,which indicate the depletion of energy *** studies have shown that the low expression of phosphorylated AMPK is associated with a poor prognosis of pancreatic *** this study,we report that AMPK is also highly sensitive to extracellular matrix(ECM)*** found that AMPK is activated in cells when cultured under low ECM stiffness conditions and is functionally required for the metabolic switch induced by ECM *** regulation of AMPK requires the Hippo kinases but not LKB1/*** kinases directly phosphorylate AMPKa at Thr172 to activate AMPK at low ECM ***,we found AMPK activity is inhibited in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)with high ECM stiffness and is associated with a poor survival *** activation of Hippo kinases by ROCK inhibitor Y-27632 in combination with the mitochondrial inhibitor metformin synergistically activates AMPK and dramatically inhibits PDAC ***,these findings establish a novel model for AMPK regulation by the mechanical properties of ECMs and provide a rationale for simultaneously targeting the ECM stiffness-Hippo kinases-AMPK signaling and low glucose-LKB1-AMPK signaling pathways as an effective therapeutic strategy against PDAC.

Study on the Effect of ligustrazine on Hematopoietic Reconstitution in Bone Marrow Transplantation Mice

To explore tile effects of ligustrazine on hematopoietic reconstitution and its mechanism after bone marrow transplantation (BMT), the allogenic BMT mice were given intra-abdominal injection of 2,mg ligustrazine twice a day. On the 1st, 7th, 14th, and 28th day after BMT, peripheral blood cells and bone marrow nuclear cells (BMNC) were counted, and the histological features were evaluated. On the 7th, 14th, 21st day after BMT, CXCR4 expression on the BMNC was assayed. The results showed that peripheral blood cell counts and BMNC counts in ligustrazine-treated group on the 7th, 14th, 28th day were higher than those in BMT group (Pge of hematopoietic tissue volume, fat tissue hyperplasia and congestion and dilation degree of microvessel in ligustrazine-treated group on the 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th day was higher than those in BMT group. The CXCR4 expression levels in ligustrazine-treated group were higher than in BMT group (Pligustrazine can accelerate hematopoietic reconstruction, enhance growth of hematopoietic tissues and promote the repair of microvessels. The CXCR4 expres- sion levels on BMNC may be responsible for the effect of ligustrazine.

Measurement and Clinical Significance of Endothelin inNeonatal Urine

The present study was undertaken to figure out the source of urinary endothelin (ET) and the clinical significance of its possible variations. Urinary ET levels were measured by radioimmunoassay (RIA) in 17 healthy newborns and 20 asphyxiated neonates on days 1, 3, 7 after birth. Plasma ET concentrations of healthy premature infants on day 7 and urinary ET levels in 10 healthy children were also observed at the same time. Results showed that: (1) Urinary ET levels and ET excretion rates were higher than plasma ET in preterm infants on days 7 after birth; (2) Both in preterm and full term infants, urinary ET concentrations fell from the 1st day to the 7th day after birth. ET excretion rates elevated markedly at the end of the 1st week, and they were significantly higher than that of children; (3) Urinary ET levels of asphyxiated group on days 1 and 3 were much higher than those of healthy neonates, and positively correlated with the severity of the illness and urinary NAG. We conclude that: (1) urinary ET mainly comes from the production in renal cells; (2) ET levels in healthy neonatal urine reflect the maturity of kidney: (3) measurement of urinary ET levels in asphyxiated neonates is helpful to judge the degree and to evaluate the prognosis of renal injury.

Background Infantile epileptic spasms syndrome(IESS)is a serious disease in infants,and it usually evolves to other epilepsy types or syndromes,especially refractory or super-refractory focal *** adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH)is one of the first-line and effective treatment plans for IESS,it has serious side effects and is not sufficiently *** A retrospective study of the clinical outcomes of ACTH combined with magnesium sulfate(MgSO4)therapy for IESS in two hospital centers was *** major outcome of the single and combined treatment was evaluated by changes in seizure frequency and improvements in hypsarrhythmia electroencephalography(EEG).To reduce the confounding bias between the two groups,we used SPSS for the propensity score matching(PSM)*** We initially recruited 1205 IESS patients from two Chinese hospitals and treated them with ACTH combined with MgSO4 and ACTH *** 1005 patients were enrolled in the treatment(ACTH combined with MgSO4:744,ACTH:261),and both treatment plans had a more than 55%response ***,compared to patients treated with ACTH alone,those patients treated with ACTH combined with MgSO4 had better performance in terms of the seizure frequency and hypsarrhythmia *** PSM,the two groups also showed significant differences in responder rate[70.8%(95%confidence interval,CI)=66.7%–74.8%)vs.53.8%(95%CI=47.4%–60.2%),Plinical *** with less than 3 months of lead time responded to the treatment much better than those with>3 months(P<0.05).In addition,the overall incidence of adverse reactions in the ACTH combined with MgSO4 group was much lower than that in the ACTH group(31.4%vs.63.1%,P<0.001).During the treatment,only

Objective:A novel technique was explored using an airbag-selective portal vein blood arrester that circumvents the need for an intraoperative assessment of anatomical variations in patients with complex intrahepatic space-occupying ***:Rabbits undergoing hepatectomy were randomly assigned to 4 groups:intermittent portal triad clamping(PTC),intermittent portal vein clamping(PVC),intermittent portal vein blocker with an airbag-selective portal vein blood arrester(APC),and without portal blood occlusion(control).Hepatic ischemia and reperfusion injury were assessed by measuring the 7-day survival rate,blood loss,liver function,hepatic pathology,hepatic inflammatory cytokine infiltration,hepatic malondialdehyde levels,and proliferating cell nuclear antigen ***:liver damage was substantially reduced in the APC and PVC *** APC animals exhibited transaminase levels similar to or less oxidative stress damage and inflammatory hepatocellular injury compared to those exhibited by the PVC *** was significantly higher in the control group than in the other *** APC group had less bleeding than the PVC group because of the avoidance of portal vein skeletonization during ***,more operative time was saved in the APC group than in the PVC ***,the total 7-day survival rate in the APC group was higher than that in the PTC ***:Airbag-selective portal vein blood arresters may help protect against hepatic ischemia and reperfusion injury in rabbits undergoing partial *** technique may also help prevent liver damage in patients requiring hepatectomy.

Thalamic hemorrhage can lead to the development of central post-stroke *** in histone acetylation levels,which are regulated by histone deacetylases,affect the excitability of neurons surrounding the hemorrhagic ***,the regulato ry mechanism of histone deacetylases in central post-stroke pain remains unclea ***,we show that iron overload leads to an increase in histone deacetylase 2expression in damaged ventral posterolateral nucleus *** this increase restored histone H3 acetylation in the Kcna2 promoter region of the voltage-dependent potassium(Kv)channel subunit gene in a rat model of central post-stroke pain,thereby increasing Kcna2expression and relieving central ***,in the absence of nerve injury,increasing histone deacetylase 2 expression decreased Kcna2expression,decreased Kv current,increased the excitability of neurons in the ventral posterolateral nucleus area,and led to neuropathic pain ***,treatment with the iron chelator deferiprone effectively reduced iron overload in the ventral posterolateral nucleus after intracerebral hemorrhage,reversed histone deacetylase 2 upregulation and Kv1.2 downregulation,and alleviated mechanical hypersensitivity in central post-stroke pain *** results suggest that histone deacetylase 2 upregulation and Kv1.2 downregulation,mediated by iron overload,are important factors in central post-stroke pain pathogenesis and co uld se rve as new to rgets for central poststroke pain treatment.

Cuproptosis,a novel mechanism of programmed cell death,has not been fully explored in the context of spermatogenic *** investigated the potential involvement of cuproptosis in spermatogenic cell death using a mouse model of copper *** male Institute of Cancer Research(ICR)mice were randomly divided into four groups that received daily oral gavage withsodium chloride(control)or copper sulfate(CuSO_(4))at 50 mg kg^(−1),100 mg kg^(−1),or 200 mg kg^(−1),for 42 consecutive *** to copper overload exhibited a disruption in copper ***,significant upregulated expression of keycuproptosis factors was accompanied by a significant rise in the rates of testicular tissue cell *** revealed the presence of ferredoxin 1(Fdx1)in Sertoli cells,Leydig cells,and spermatogenic cells at various stages oftesticular development,and the Fdx1-positive staining area was significantly increased in copper-overloaded *** and decreased adenosine triphosphate levels were also observed,further implicating mitochondrial damage *** analyses revealed pathological lesions and blood−testis barrier destruction in the testicular tissue,accompaniedby decreased sperm concentration and motility,in copper-overloaded *** summary,our results indicate that copper-overloadedmice exhibit copper homeostasis disorder in the testicular tissue and that cuproptosis participates in spermatogenic cell *** findings provide novel insights into the pathogenic mechanisms underlying spermatogenic cell death and provide initialexperimental evidence for the occurrence of cuproptosis in the testis.
