miR-140-3p enhanced the osteo/odontogenic differentiation of DPSCs via inhibiting KMT5B under hypoxia condition

Human dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs)have emerged as an important source of stem cells in the tissue engineering,and hypoxia will change various innate characteristics of DPSCs and then affect dental tissue ***,little is known about the complicated molecular *** this study,we aimed to investigate the influence and mechanism of miR-140-3p on DPSCs under hypoxia *** was induced in DPSCs by Cobalt chloride(CoCl_(2))*** osteo/dentinogenic differentiation capacity of DPSCs was assessed by alkaline phosphatase(ALP)activity,Alizarin Red S staining and main osteo/dentinogenic markers.A luciferase reporter gene assay was performed to verify the downstream target gene of *** research exhibited that miR-140-3p promoted osteo/dentinogenic differentiation of DPSCs under normoxia ***,miR-140-3p rescued the CoCl_(2)-induced decreased osteo/odontogenic differentiation potentials in ***,we investigated that miR-140-3p directly targeted lysine methyltransferase 5B(KMT5B).Surprisingly,we found inhibition of KMT5B obviously enhanced osteo/dentinogenic differentiation of DPSCs both under normoxia and hypoxia *** conclusion,our study revealed the role and mechanism of miR-140-3p for regulating osteo/dentinogenic differentiation of DPSCs under hypoxia,and discovered that miR-140-3p and KMT5B might be important targets for DPSC-mediated tooth or bone tissue regeneration.

Enhanced catalytic conversion of polysulfides using high-percentage 1T-phase metallic WS_(2) nanosheets for Li–S batteries

High-energy-density lithium-sulfur batteries has attracted substantial attention as competitive candidates for large-scale energy storage ***,the adverse“shuttle effect”and sluggish sulfur conversion reaction kinetics immensely obstruct their commercial ***,a two-dimensional metallic 1T phase WS_(2)(1T-WS_(2))nanosheets modified functional separator is developed to improve the electrochemical ***,the semiconducting bulk-WS_(2) crystals,and 2H phase WS_(2)(2H-WS_(2))nanosheets with more basal-plane Svacancy defects are also prepared to probe the contributions of the crystal structure(phase),S-vacancy defects,and edges to the Li–S batteries performance experimentally and *** merits of the synergistic effect of high ion and electron conductivity,enhanced binding ability to lithium polysulfides(LiPSs),and sufficient electrocatalytic active sites,the 1T-WS_(2) shows highly efficient electrocatalysis of LiPSs conversion and further improves Li–S battery *** expected,thus-fabricated cells with 1T-WS_(2) nanosheets present superior cycle stability that maintain capacity decline of 0.039%per cycle after 1000 cycles at 1.0 *** strategy presented here offers a viable approach to reveal the critical factors for LiPSs catalytic conversion,which is beneficial to developing advanced Li–S batteries with enhanced properties.

MADRL-based UAV swarm non-cooperative game under incomplete information

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)play increasing important role in modern *** this paper,considering the incomplete observation information of individual UAV in complex combat environment,we put forward an UAV swarm non-cooperative game model based on Multi-Agent Deep Reinforcement Learning(MADRL),where the state space and action space are constructed to adapt the real features of UAV swarm air-to-air *** multi-agent particle environment is employed to generate an UAV combat scene with continuous observation *** recently popular MADRL methods are compared extensively in the UAV swarm noncooperative game model,the results indicate that the performance of Multi-Agent Soft Actor-Critic(MASAC)is better than that of other MADRL methods by a large *** swarm employing MASAC can learn more effective policies,and obtain much higher hit rate and win *** under different swarm sizes and UAV physical parameters are also performed,which implies that MASAC owns a well generalization ***,the practicability and convergence of MASAC are addressed by investigating the loss value of Q-value networks with respect to individual UAV,the results demonstrate that MASAC is of good practicability and the Nash equilibrium of the UAV swarm non-cooperative game under incomplete information can be reached.

Size distribution of PM_(20) observed to the north of the Tibetan Plateau

The size distribution of airborne dust particles is an important parameter in the measurement of dust emissions due to wind erosion,and a quantitative and accurate description is *** regarding the size distribution of airborne dust particles are currently lacking in Tibetan Plateau(TP).This study aims to obtain a dust particle size distribution and compare the difference in spatial distribution at a field site(FS)and two urban observation sites(Minfeng and Hetian),in the north of the TP,under the condition of the dust-days and *** observation data was collected from 5 July to 4 August,*** mass concentration of dust(PM20)was measured with a 10-stage quartz crystal microbalance cascade *** results suggested that 91.9%of the particles were less than 1.4μm on clear-days,and particles of d≥1.4μm increased to 27.2%with the occurrence of the dust *** than 80%of the airborne dust particles were less than 1.4μm for each friction *** proportion of d0.7μm was the greatest at 0.5 m on *** urban observation,with the occurrence of dust events,the concentration of a particle size greater than 2.5μm increased most significantly in Minfeng,while the concentration of a particle size less than 0.7μm increased most significantly in ***,the proportion of particles with d1.4μm had the most obvious difference among these three sites.

Hot deformation behavior and finite element simulation of Mg-8.3Gd-4.4Y-1.5Zn-0.8Mn alloy

To study the hot deformation behavior of Mg-8.3 Gd-4.4 Y-1.5 Zn-0.8 Mn(wt%) alloy,hot compression tests were conducted using a Gleeble-3500 thermal simulator at temperatures ranging from 653 to773 K,true strain rates of 0.001-1 s^(-1),and a deformation degree of 60%.Results of hot compression experiments show that the flow stress of the alloy increases with the strain *** true stress-true strain curves are corrected by correcting the effect of temperature rise in the deformation *** energy,Q,equal to 287380 J/mol and material constant,n,equal to 4.59 were calculated by fitting the true stress-true strain ***,the constitutive equation was established and verified via finite element *** of the hot processing map show that the probability of material instability increases with the degree of deformation,which indicates that the material is not suitable for large deformation in a single *** the whole,the alloy is appropriate for multipass processing with small deformation and a suitable processing temperature and strain rate are 733 K and 0.01 s-1,respectively.

Artemisinin and its derivatives have emerged as promising therapeutic agents for cancer therapy by endogenous iron-mediated generation of free ***,the enhanced antioxidant defense systems in cancer cells provide them with resistance to oxidative damage,greatly antagonizing the therapeutic efficacy that relies on inducing oxidative ***,a metal-organic framework(MOF)-based nanoplatform(CMD)is constructed to disrupt the cellular redox homeostasis and selectively potentiate the cytotoxicity of dihydroartemisinin for cancer *** cancer cells,the copper(II)sites in the MOF nanocarrier of CMD can efficiently weaken the cellular antioxidant capacity by depleting the overexpressed glutathione,simultaneously leading to the decomposition of the framework structure and the release of the encapsulated *** a result,the damaged antioxidant defense system of cancer cells reduces its effect on oxidative stress alleviation and strengthens the therapeutic efficacy of *** contrast,the low concentration of cellular glutathione in normal cells protects them from dihydroartemisinin-induced cytotoxicity by decelerating the drug *** vivo results demonstrate that CMD could completely suppress the tumor growth in mice and show no evidence of toxicity,providing an effective strategy for the practical usage of dihydroartemisinin in cancer therapy.

Mask Distillation Network for Conjunctival Hyperemia Severity Classification

To achieve automatic,fast and accurate severity classification of bulbar conjunctival hyperemia severity,we proposed a novel prior knowledge-based framework called mask distillation network(MDN).The proposed MDN consists of a segmentation network and a classification network with teacher-student *** segmentation network is used to generate a bulbar conjunctival mask and the classification network divides the severity of bulbar conjunctival hyperemia into four *** the classification network,we feed the original image and the image with the bulbar conjunctival mask into the student and teacher branches respectively,and an attention consistency loss and a classification consistency loss are used to keep a similar learning mode for these two *** design of“different input but same output”,named mask distillation(MD),aims to introduce the regional prior knowledge that“bulbar conjunctival hyperemia severity classification is only related to the bulbar conjunctiva region”.Extensive experiments on 5117 anterior segment images have proven the effectiveness of mask distillation technology:1)The accuracy of the MDN student branch is 3.5%higher than that of a single optimal baseline network and 2%higher than that of the baseline network combination.2)In the test phase,only the student branch is needed,and no additional segmentation network is *** framework only takes 0.003 s to classify a single image,achieving the fastest speed in all the methods we compared.3)Compared with a single baseline network,the attention of both teacher and student branches in the MDN has been intuitively improved.

Using the discrete element method to investigate the behavior of particles is a crucial strategy in the research and development of novel *** pepper(Zanthoxylum armatum)is a globally renewable plant-derived medicinal and food homologous commodity with a wide range of uses and great demand,but the mechanical properties needed to develop its processing equipment are ***,this case study aimed to systematically explore the necessary input parameters to model green pepper,and to provide new insights for the guidance of future industrial applications *** the basis of the experimental measured physical properties,the contact properties of green pepper on zinc-coated steel were first calibrated and then used to determine the contact properties between *** differences between the experimental and simulation results were analyzed for selection and verification of the contact properties *** analysis confirmed that the co-efficient of restitution,coefficient of static friction and coefficient of rolling friction for contact between the particle and zinc-coated steel have values of 0.392,0.650,and 0.168,and those coefficients for particle-to-particle contact have values of 0.199,0.710,and 0.184,*** in this work may contribute to the research and development of production equipment for green pepper.
