Hydromagnetic peristaltic transport of copper-water nanofluid with temperature-dependent effective viscosity

The unique chemical mechanical, and thermodynamic properties of nanofluids make them a subject of great interest for scientists from all domains. Such fluids are of particular significance in biomedical engineering owing to their vast and novel applications in modern drug delivery systems; for example, mixed convective peristaltic flow of water-based nanofluids under the influence of an externally applied magnetic field is of particular significance. Hence, a lot of research has focused on peristalsis in the presence of velocity and thermal slip effects. An empirical relation for the effective viscosity of the nanofluid is proposed here for the first time. The viscosity of the nanofluid varies with temperature and nanoparticle volume fraction. Numerical simulation of the resulting nonlinear system of equations is presented for different quantities of interest. The results indicate that the maximum velocity and temperature of the copper-water nanofluid increase for larger variable viscosity parameter. The pressure gradient in the wider part of the channel is also found to increase as a function of the variable viscosity parameter. The variable viscosity parameter also influences the size of the trapped bolus. An increase in the nanoparticle volume fraction reduces the reflux phenomenon in a peristaltic flow.

Synergistic effects of combined therapy of curcumin and Fructus Ligustri Lucidi for treatment of osteoporosis: cellular and molecular evidence of enhanced bone formation

Objective: The present study explored the effects of the combined herbal therapy consisting of curcumin(CUR) and Fructus Ligustri Lucidi(FLL) on aspects of bone ***: Prior to analyzing the ability of this novel combined herbal therapy to promote aspects of bone regeneration, its cytotoxicity was determined using MC3 T3-E1 cells(pre-osteoblast model). Cell proliferation was evaluated using phase-contrast microscopy and cell differentiation was estimated using alkaline phosphatase activity. The effect of the combined herbal therapy(CUR + FLL) was also assessed in terms of mineralization in the extracellular matrix(ECM) of cultured cells. Further, to explore the molecular mechanisms of bone formation, time-dependent expression of bone-regulating protein biomarkers was also ***: Combined herbal therapy(CUR + FLL) significantly upregulated the viability, proliferation and differentiation of MC3 T3-E1 cells compared to the monotherapy of CUR or FLL. The magnitude of ECM mineralization(calcium deposition) was also higher in MC3 T3-E1 cells treated with combined *** time-dependent expression of bone-forming protein biomarkers revealed that the tendency of expression of these bone-regulating proteins was remarkably higher in cells treated with combined ***: The co-administration of CUR and FLL had superior promotion of elements of bone regeneration in cultured cells, thus could be a promising alternative herbal therapy for the management of bone erosive disorders such as osteoporosis.

The purpose of this paper presents a single-phase transformer-based inverter for nonlinear load application by using a PID *** implementation of an integrated Proportional,Integral,and Derivative（PID）controller for single-phase inverters is ***,the suggested controller for controlling output voltage is a PID *** functions as a voltage controller for inverter control,removing steady-state error in heavy-load *** inverter will be both efficient and inexpensive in terms of energy savings due to the improved waveform output and reduced steady-state *** nonlinear load conditions,a capacitive full-bridge circuit is used to provide instant current and thereby reduce *** remove the DC variable and steadystate error under heavy load applications,a new proportional plus integral controller for inverter control is *** our proposed method,the DC component value and THD% is reduced to a very good level which is less than 5%.PID controllers that function as voltage controllers and DC offset cancellers are included in the proposed *** Software was used to generate the experimental effect.

Tectonic Study of the Sub-Himalayas Based on Geophysical Data in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Northern Pakistan

The tectonic study based on geophysical data has been carried out in Sub-Himalayas in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and northern Pakistan. A series of thin skinned and thick skinned faults have been delineated in the investigated area on the basis of present study. In the study area compressional stresses caused by the collisional of Indian and Eurasian plates developed the northwestsoutheast trending faults which are Shaheed Gala thrust, Bagh basement fault, Kashmir boundary thrust and Kawai fault or Indus Kohistan seismic zone. The crustal thickness increases towards north due to the stacking of the thrust sheets along these faults. The Murree Formation thrusts over the Si- waliks molasse along the Shaheed Gala thrust. This fault dips at an angle of 43° northeast and joins the thick skinned Bagh basement fault in subsurface which are penetrated up to Moho depth. In the northeast of Bagh basement fault the northwest-southeast trending Kashmir boundary thrust has been delineated in the sedimentary-metasedimentary wedge which joins the Indus Kohistan seismic zone in the subsurface. The present study suggested that the Kawai fault which is running within Murree Formation cuts 16 km thick sedimentary-metasedimentary wedge and also joins the Indus Kohistan seismic zone in the subsurface.
