Using ma.ble sa.ples from the Nika.i Gha. ma.ble a.d Nowshera.Forma.ion from Northern Pa.ista. the determina.ion of the tempera.ure of meta.orphism wa. underta.en with the help of ca.cite-dolomite solvus geothermometer. Two types of ma.bles, tha. is, ca.cite-dolomite ma.ble a.d qua.tz-bea.ing ca.cite-dolomite ma.ble were selected. Petrogra.hic a.d sca.ning electron microscope a.a.ysis of dolomite sa.ples indica.ed different gra.n sizes. X-ra. diffra.tion technique indica.ed the ca.cites MgCO3 content up to 7.93 mol.%. Nika.i Gha. ma.ble sa.ples ha.e shown lower contents of MgCO3 a. compa.ed to sa.ples from Nowshera.Forma.ion. The ca.cite-dolomite-qua.tz ma.ble ha. a.so showed rela.ively lower MgCO3 content a.d hence ra.her low tempera.ure （-500 ℃）. The tempera.ure rea.hed during pea. meta.orphism of the investiga.ed ma.ble occurrence, ba.ed on ca.citedolomite solvus wa. 628 ℃. Meta.orphic tempera.ures derived from the present study were shown a. a.linea. gra.h a.d va.ues were in good a.reement with the published litera.ure.
