A simple, economical and applicable spectrum equalization method is implemented by employing a reshaping f.lter in the combined f.equency-shif.-keying/amplitude-shif.-keying modulation scheme to improve the quality of.amplitude-shif.-keying optical signal. Aiming to produce materials with enhanced photocatalytic properties, the synthesis of.new crystalline nanocomposites by combining titanate nanorods（TNR） with ZnS nanocrystallites is described in this *** TNR modif.cation was accomplished by an in situ nucleation and growth process of.ZnS *** diethyldithiocarbamate was used as the metal chalcogenide precursor. The prepared materials were structural, morphological and optical characterized by X-ray dif.raction, transmission electron microscopy and high resolution transmission electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy and powder dif.use ref.ectance spectra. Crystalline Zn S nanoparticles were obtained as a homogeneous and continuous layer, covering completely the TNR surf.ce. The application of.these new nanocomposite materials on photocatalytic degradation of.pollutants was investigated. f.rst, the evaluation of.hydroxyl radical f.rmation, using the terephthalic acid as probe, was studied. Af.erwards, the adsorption and photodegradation of.saf.anine-T, used here as a model pollutant molecule, was investigated. The obtained data indicate that the prepared nanocomposites have potential to be used as photocatalysts f.r organic pollutant *** best removal results（97% removal） were obtained using the 0.01 Zn S/HTNR sample as catalyst（0.2 g/L; 10 ppm saf.anin-T solution） with a combination of.a low dye adsorption（20%） and a high dye photocatalytic degradation（77%）.

We aimed to compare Gleason score and tumor laterality between transrectal ultrasound-guided biopsy of.the prostate （TRUSBX） and radical prostatectomy （RP）. Some f.ctors that could cause a discrepancy in results between these two procedures were also evaluated. Among the 318 cases reviewed, 191 cases were selected f.r inclusion in this comparative Study, We divided the patients into two groups using the Gleason score： an intermediate/high-grade group （≥7） and a low-grade group （〈6）. Exploratory analyses were conducted f.r comparisons between groups. We also perf.rmed comparisons between TRUSBX and RP f.r tumor laterality. TRUSBX overestimated 6% and underestimated 24% cases in comparison with RP f.r Gleason score, and overestimated 2.6% and underestimated 46% cases compared with RP f.r tumor laterality. Biopsy specimens were slightly smaller in TRUSBX cases with underestimated tumor laterality （P〈 0.05）, and no relationship between the biopsy specimen size and underestimated Gleason score in TRUSBX was f.und. Prostatic volume showed no statistical correlation with the likelihood of.under or overestimation （P 〉 0.05）. Thus, our study showed that TRUSBX has a high likelihood of.underestimating both the Gleason score and tumor laterality in prostate cancer （PCa）. The size of.the f.agment appears to be an important f.ctor inf.uencing the likelihood of.laterality underestimation and Gleason score overestimation via TRUSBX. Due to the high likelihood of.underestimation of.the Gleason score and tumor laterality by 12-core prostate biopsy, we conclude that this type of.biopsy should not be used alone to guide therapy in Pca.

We report the management of.a patient with secundum atrial septal def.ct （ASD） and severe pulmonary hypertension. A 65-year-old male with recently diagnosed atrial septal def.ct was ref.rred to our centre f.r decompensated right heart f.ilure with rest and exercise induced dispnea and severe pulmonary hypertension. Right heart catheterization conf.rmed a mean pulmonary pressure of.about 55 mmHg and a Qp/Qs of.2.7. An occlusion test with a compliant large balloon demonstrated partial f.ll of.pulmonary arterial pressure. The implantation of.a home-made f.nestrated Amplatzer ASD Occluder （ASO） was planned in order to decrease lef.-to-right shunt and promote f.rther decrease of.pulmonary arterial pressure in the long-term. Thus, by means of.mechanical intracardiac echocardiography study with a 9f.9 MHz Ultralce catheter （Boston Scientif.c Corp.）, we selected a 34 mm ASO f.r implantation. f.ur millimeter f.nestration was made inf.ating a 4 mm non-compliant coronary balloon throughout the waist of.the ASO, which was successf.lly implanted under intmcardiac echocardiography. Af.er six months, a decrease of.pulmonary arterial pressure to 24 mmHg and f.ll compensated right heart f.ilure was observed on transthoracic echocardiography and clinical examination. This case suggests that Wanscatheter closure with home-made f.nestrated ASD in elderly patients with severe pulmonary hypertension is f.asible.

Background:We compared body mass index(BMI),body f.t,and skeletal muscle mass between(1) a mixed-sex nonathletic cohort of.people with patellof.moral pain(Pf.) and pain-f.ee people,and(2) a nonathletic cohort of.people with Pf. and pain-f.ee people subgrouped by sex(i.e.,men and women with Pf. ***-f.ee men and women).Methods:This cross-sectional study included 114 people with Pf.(71 women,43 men) and 54 pain-f.ee controls(32 women,22 men).All participants attended a single testing session to assess body composition measures,which included BMI,percentage of.body f.t(%Bf.ioimpedance),and skeletal muscle mass(both assessed by bioelectrical impedance analysis),and percentage of.body f.t(%Bf.kinf.id)(assessed by skinf.ld caliper analysis).A one-way univariate analysis of.covariance(age and physical activity levels as covariates) was used to compare body composition measures between groups(i.e.,Pf. ***-f.ee group;women with Pf. ***-f.ee women;men with Pf. ***-f.ee men).Results:Women with Pf. presented signif.cantly higher BMI,%Bf.iompedance,and %Bf.kinf.ld,and lower skeletal muscle mass compared to pain-f.ee women(p≤0.04;ef.ect size:-0.47 to 0.85).Men with Pf. and men and women combined had no dif.erences in BMI,%Bf.ioimpedance,%Bf.kinf.ld,and skeletal muscle mass compared to their respective pain-f.ee groups(p> 0.05).Conclusion:Our f.ndings indicate that BMI and body composition measures should be considered as part of.the evaluation and management of.people with Pf.,especially in women,who have demonstrated higher BMI and body f.t and lower skeletal muscle mass compared to pain-f.ee *** studies should not assess body composition measures in a mixed-sex population without distinguishing men participants f.om women participants.

The macro complex of.the construction industry is energy intensive. Solutions that enable the supply of.this demand while meeting the principles of.sustainability are needed. The construction of.wind f.rms has been a strategy employed by many countries to produce clean energy. An increase in the construction of.wind f.rms has also been witnessed in Brazil. This calls f.r dif.erent activities, such as the design and construction of.inf.astructure. This article f.cuses on the design of.internal medium voltage distribution grids f.r wind f.rms. The purpose is to f.nd a radial conf.guration that connects a set of.wind generators to the substation, in an optimum way, minimizing operational and construction costs, reducing loss and theref.re contributing to sustainability. In large f.rms, the project design consists of.a large combinatorial optimization problem, given the large number of.possible conf.gurations to be deployed. f.nding the best solution f.r the internal grid depends on the criterion adopted f.r the objectives pursued. This article analyzes the dif.erent criteria that can be adopted in the design of.the wind f.rm’s internal grid using a methodology based on genetic algorithm (GA). Its aim is to identif. their inf.uence on the solution of.the problem and help decision-making by f.nding the most adequate criterion f.r the objectives pursued. The results show that the design of.the internal grid is sensitive to the criteria adopted f.r the objective f.nction. In addition, the degree of.sensitivity is analyzed, showing that, in some cases, the solutions are not economically attractive and do not contribute to the reduction of.losses.

f.uits are def.ned as mature ovaries originated f.om a coordinated development between ovules(precursors of.seeds)and carpels(precursors of.the f.uit body).Disconnecting the ovule development f.om carpel development is a long-desired goal in agriculture to generate seedless f.uits easier to ***,pollination and f.rtilization are required to promote hormone pathways-i.e.,auxin and gibberellin-that are crucial f.r seed and f.uit set(Gillaspy et al.,1993;Raghavan,2003).Even though developing seeds are central f.r normal f.uit development,examples of.seedless or parthenocarpic f.uits are present in wild and cultivated species(Joldersma and Liu,2017).
