Interfacial microstructure and mechanical properties of diffusion-bonded joints of titanium TC4 (Ti-6Al-4V) and Kovar (Fe-29Ni-17Co) alloys

Diffusion bonding is a near net shape forming process that can join dissimilar materials through atomic diffusion under a high pressure at a high *** alloy TC4（Ti-6 Al-4 V）and 4 J29 Kovar alloy（Fe-29 Ni-17 Co）were diffusely bonded by a vacuum hot-press sintering process in the temperature range of 700-850°C and bonding time of 120 min,under a pressure of 34.66 *** microstructures and intermetallic compounds of the diffusion-bonded joints were characterized by optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction（XRD）and energy dispersive spectroscopy（EDS）.The elemental diffusion across the interface was revealed by electron probe *** properties of joints were investigated by micro Vickers hardness and tensile *** of EDS and XRD indicated that（Fe,Co,Ni）-Ti,TiNi,Ti_2Ni,TiNi_2,Fe_2 Ti,Ti_（17） Mn_3 and Al_6 Ti_（19） were formed at the *** the bonding temperature was raised from 700 to 850°C,the voids of interface were reduced and intermetallic layers were *** tensile strength of joints at 53.5 MPa was recorded by the sintering process at 850°C for 120 *** surface of the joint indicated brittle nature,and failure took place through interface of intermetallic *** on the mechanical properties and microstructure of the diffusion-bonded joints,diffusion mechanisms between Ti-6 Al-4 Vtitanium and Fe-29 Ni-17 Co Kovar alloys were analyzed in terms of elemental diffusion,nucleation and growth of grains,plastic deformation and formation of intermetallic compounds near the interface.

An Improvement of the Thermal Stability of SnTe through Nitrogen Doping

Nitrogen doping is applied to improve the thermal stability of *** crystallization temperature Tc of SnTe is below room temperature,which can be elevated to 216℃ by 7.65at.%nitrogen *** doping results in the formation of SnNx in the nitrogen doped SnTe(N-SnTe)materials,which hinders the movement of atoms and suppresses the crystallization,leading to a better thermal *** crystallization activation energy(Ea)and data retention for ten years of 7.65at.%N-SnTe are 1.89 eV and 81℃,***,the voltage pulses have successfully triggered the SET and RESET operations of the N-SnTe based device at the voltage of 0.9 V and 2.6 *** good thermal stability and reversible phase-change ability have proved the potential of N-SnTe for phase-change memory application.

Bidirectional Optimization Coupled Ligh tweight Net works for Efficient and Robust Multi-Person 2D Pose Estimation

For multi-person 2D pose estimation,current deep learning baised methods have exhibited impressive performance,but the trade-offs among efficiency,robustness,and accuracy in the existing approaches remain *** principle,bottom-up methods are superior to top-down methods in efficiency,but they perform worse in *** make full use of their respective advantages,in this paper we design a novel bidirectional optimization coupled lightweight network(BOCLN)architecture for efficient,robust,and general-purpose multi-person 2D(2-dimensional)pose estimation from natural *** the BOCLN framework,the bottom-up network focuses oil global features,while the top-down net work places emphasis on det ailed *** entire framework shares global features along the bottom-up data stream,while the top-down data stream aims to accelerate the accurate pose *** particular,to exploit the priors of human joints'relationship,we propose a probability limb heat map to represent the spatial context of the joints and guide the overall pose skeleton prediction,so that each person's pose estimation in cluttered scenes(involving crowd)could be as accurate and robust as ***,benefiting from the novel BOCLN architecture,the tinie-consuming refinement procedure could be much simplified to an efficient lightweight *** experiments and evaluations on public benchmarks have confirmed that our new method is more efficient and robust,yet still attain competitive accuracy performance compared with the state-of-the-art *** BOCLN shows even greater promise in online applications.

Identification of emission sources of umbral flashes using phase congruency

The emission sources of umbral flashes （UFs） are believed to be closely related to running umbral and penumbral waves, and are concluded to be associated with umbral dots in the solar photosphere. Accurate identification of emission sources of UFs is crucial for investigating these physical phenomena and their inherent relationships. A relatively novel model of shape perception, namely phase congruency （PC）, uses phase information in the Fourier domain to identify the geometrical shape of the region of interest in different intensity levels, rather than intensity or gradient. Previous studies indicate that the model is suitable for identifying features with low contrast and low luminance. In the present paper, we applied the PC model to identify the emission sources of UFs and to locate their positions. For illustrating the high performance of our proposed method, two time sequences of Ca n H images derived from the Hinode/SOT on 2010 August 10 and 2013 August 20 were used. Furthermore, we also compared these results with the analysis results that are identified by the traditional/classical identification methods, including the gray-scale adjusted technique and the running difference technique. The result of our analysis demonstrates that our proposed method is more accurate and effective than the traditional identification methods when applied to identifying the emission sources of UFs and to locating their positions.

Systemic Nuclear Proteomics Researches on Change of Jurkat T Lymphocyte Cells Under Radiation

Radiation causes severe constraint on numerous pathological functions of cells, such as cell growth, nuclear genetic material expression and cell functions. In this study, we performed proteomic profiling of a nuclear fraction of Jurkat T lymphocyte cells under radiation along different time course by means of 2DE and MALDI TOF-MS. We found 24 protein spots whose expression had changed after radiation, including relevant proteins, genetic material proteins, metabolism proteins, molecular chaperon and nuclear membrane proteins. Based on the above it is concluded that the combination of fluorescence labeled 2D-PAGE and MALDI-TOF MS is more precisely and effectively to elucidate the protein changes in Jurkat T lymphocyte cells after irradiation.

Evolution of isolated G-band bright points: size, intensity and velocity

We study the evolution pattern of isolated G-band bright points （GBPs） in terms of their size, intensity and velocity. Using a high resolution image sequence taken with the Hinode/Solar Optical Telescope （SOT）, we detect GBPs in each image by the Laplacian and Morphological Dilation algorithm, and track their evolutions by a 26-adjacent method in a three-dimensional space-time cube. For quantifying the evolution, we propose a quantification method based on lifetime normalization which aligns the different lifetimes to common stages. The quantification results show that, on average, the diameter of isolated GBPs changes from 166 to 173 km, then down to 165 km; the maximum intensity contrast changes from 1.012 to 1.027, then down to 1.011; however, the velocity changes from 1.709 to 1.593 km s-1, then up to 1.703 km s-i. The results indicate that the evolution follows a pattern such that the GBP is small, faint and fast-moving at the birth stage, becomes big, bright and slow-moving at the middle stage, then gets small, faint and fast-moving at the decay stage until disappearance. Although the differences are very small, a two-sample t-test is used to demonstrate there are significant differences in means between the distri- butions of the different stages. Furthermore, we quantify the relationship between the lifetimes of GBPs and their properties. It is found that there are positive correlations between the lifetimes and their sizes and intensities with correlation coefficients of 0.83 and 0.65, respectively; however, there is a negative correlation between the life- times and velocities with a correlation coefficient of-0.49. In summary, the longer the GBP persists, the bigger, brighter and slower it will be.

Conjugation of Chitooligosaccharide-5-fluorouracil with Bovine Serum Albumin

The interaction between chitooligosaccharide-5-fluorouracil （COS-5FU） and bovine serum albumin （BSA） was studied by fluorescence spectroscopy. It was found that an energy transfer between COS-5FU and BSA had been occurred. The binding constants were calculated, k298K=1.175×10^4 L·mol^-1. Based on the mechanism of energy transfer of dipole-dipole interaction between the donor and acceptor, the distance between BSA and COS-SFU was determined.
