In this study,the mechanism of the reduction-diffusion reaction in a Sm-fe binary system at low temperature was studied to investigate the possibility of synthesis of a fe-rich TbCu7-type Smfex（x>9）by the low-temperature diffusion-reduction（LTRD） process using LiCl-KCl eutectic molten ***,the Sm-fe phase transformation depending on the Sm-fe composition,the LTRD temperature,and time was investigated,and it is found that the obtained metastable phase is only TbCu7-type Smfe～8.5,which is not a fe-rich *** fe content does not change even after an expended LTRD process,and the metastable TbCu7-type Smfe～8.5tends to transform to the stable *** addition,it is found that the Sm-fe phase starts to synthesize from the Sm-rich phase in the order of Smfe2,Smfe3,and Smfe8.5as the LTRD temperature increases（when the time was 10 h） or the LTRD time increases（when the temperature was 550℃）.Core-shell-like particles are observed in the case of a short LTRD time,and the core and the shell are fe and the Sm-rich Sm-fe phase,respectively,indicating that the Sm-rich phase begins to produce on the surface of the fe *** is difficult to synthesize a fe-rich TbCu7-type Smfex（x>9） phase with the Sm-fe binary system,suggesting that a different approach,such as addition of other elements,will be necessary.

Emotion Measurement Using Biometric Signal

In recent years, research on the estimation of human emotions has been active, and its application is expected in various fields. Biological reactions, such as electroencephalography (EEG) and root mean square successive difference (RMSSD), are indicators that are less influenced by individual arbitrariness. The present study used EEG and RMSSD signals to assess the emotions aroused by emotion-stimulating images in order to investigate whether various emotions are associated with characteristic biometric signal fluctuations. The participants underwent EEG and RMSSD while viewing emotionally stimulating images and answering the questionnaires. The emotions aroused by emotionally stimulating images were assessed by measuring the EEG signals and RMSSD values to determine whether different emotions are associated with characteristic biometric signal variations. Real-time emotion analysis software was used to identify the evoked emotions by describing them in the Circumplex Model of Affect based on the EEG signals and RMSSD values. Emotions other than happiness did not follow the Circumplex Model of Affect in this study. However, ventral attentional activity may have increased the RMSSD value for disgust as the β/θ value increased in right-sided brain waves. Therefore, the right-sided brain wave results are necessary when measuring disgust. Happiness can be assessed easily using the Circumplex Model of Affect for positive scene analysis. Improving the current analysis methods may facilitate the investigation of face-to-face communication in the future using biometric signals.

Background:We clarified the predictive factors for changes in the status ofmedications for lower urinary tract symptoms(LUTS)2 years after local radiotherapy for nonmetastatic prostate *** and methods:We retrospectively included patients who underwent local external radiotherapy for nonmetastatic prostate cancer in 8 institutions between April 2001 and March *** were divided into themedication and no-medication group based on the use of drugs for LUTS before *** defined improvement of LUTS as when the patient did not require medication for LUTS at 24 months after radiotherapy in the medication group and as deterioration whenmedication was required in the no-medication *** regression analysis was used to evaluate predictive factors for changes in medication ***:Altogether,505 patients were divided into a no-medication group(n=352)and a medication group(n=153).The number of patients with deterioration and improvement in LUTS was 49(14%)and 36(23%),*** the multivariate analysis,the predictive variables for deterioration were the International Prostate SymptomScore(≥8;odds ratio[OR],2.21;p=0.014)and the biopsy Gleason score(≤3+4=7;OR,2.430;p=0.008)in the no-medication group,whereas those for improvement were age(f life score(factors for changes in the status ofmedications for LUTS at 2 years after external radiotherapymay help determine the definitive therapy for nonmetastatic prostate cancer.

This article addresses the increasing need for participatory approaches to disaster reduction at the community level. Based on the author's 30-year engagement in the mountainous community Chizu Town, Tottori Prefecture, Japan, a unique participatory approach called ‘‘Zeroto-One Movement'' has been strategically studied. The study areas are found to have adaptively increased their coping capacity. Their unique participatory process is shown to be an adaptive process for SMART community governance under persistent disruptive risks—‘‘S'' represents small-sized and survivability-minded, ‘‘M'' modestscale and multiple-stakeholder involved, ‘‘A'' anticipatory and adaptive, ‘‘R'' risk-concerned and responsive, and ‘‘T''is transformative. finally, the Case Station-field Campus scheme is proposed to serve as a platform for studying the adaptive processes over a long period of time.

We study a double covering of modular A_(4)flavor *** this end,we construct lepton models for canonical and radiative seesaw *** irreducible doublet representations,heavier Majorana fermion masses are characterized by one free parameter that would differentiate from A_(4)***χsquare numerical analysis,we demonstrate that both scenarios produce some predictions in case of normal hierarchy reproducing neutrino oscillation ***,no solution satisfies the neutrino oscillation data in case of radiative seesaw of inverted hierarchy.
