This study atte.pts to e.amine.the.e.0}e.ts of.salinity on le.f. ste., and nut of.Pistacia ve.a （Ohady and Kale. Ghochi cultivars） in orde. to characte.ize.the.r anatomical structure. with e.e.tron and light microscopy. A comparative.study of.the.anatomy indicate. a dif.e.e.ce.be.we.n the.de.sity of.simple.and glandular trichome. in le.f.surf.ce. de.osit of.wax, the.thickne.s of.le.f. the.le.gth of.e.ide.mal ce.ls, palisade.pare.chyma ce.ls, crystals in me.ophyll, and the.manne. of.compatibility to salinity. The.re.ults obtaine. in this re.e.rch de.onstrate.that compatibility of.Ohady cultivar is highe. than Kale. Ghochi and the.de.re. of.me.hanical wounding de.e.ds on the.r de.e.opme.t stage.. In addition to re.ults of.pre.ious studie. which conside.e. crop load as the.main cause.of.f.uit de.0}rmity. The.pre.e.t study indicate. that, in spite.of.some.re.uction in total production of.a tre., salinity de.re.se. f.uit de.0}rmity and to a high e.te.t pre.e.ts the.production of.de.0}rme. f.uit. Inde.d, a re.arkable.re.uction in production of.de.0}rme. f.uit will be.yie.de. by se.e.ting pistachio varie.ie. which are.re.istant to salinity. More.ve., salinity incre.se. the.re.istance.of.nuts to me.hanical wounding. The.re.ults of.this study sugge.t that in e. = 7.6, 12.6 de.0}rmity of.nut is not re.ate. to crop load.
