Dermatomyositis, an idiopathic inf.ammatory myopathy, is characterized by distinctive skin manif.stations, proximal muscle weakness, and multiple organ involvement and can be accompanied by malignancies. To provide a ref.rence f.r dermatologists and clinicians in other relevant f.elds of.clinical practice, experts f.om the Dermatology Branch of.the China International Exchange and Promotion Association f.r Medical and Health Care and the National Clinical Research Center f.r Dermatologic and Immunologic Diseases developed this consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of.adult dermatomyositis using Chinese and international literature and expert advice. © 2024 Wolters Kluwer Health. The Submillimeter Wave Astronomy Satellite(SWAS)was the f.rst space telescope capable of.high spectral resolution observations of.terahertz spectral *** have investigated the integration ability of.its two receivers and spectrometer during f.ve and a half.years of.on-orbit *** CI,O_(2),H_(2)O,and^(13)CO spectra taken toward all observed Galactic sources were *** present results are based on spectra with a total integration time of.up to 2.72×10~4hr(■10~8s).The noise in the spectra is generally consistent with that expected f.om the radiometer equation,without any sign of.approaching a noise *** noise perf.rmance ref.ects the extremely stable perf.rmance of.the passively cooled f.ont end as well as other relevant components in the SWAS instrument throughout its mission lif.time.

Strain engineering,as a powerf.l strategy to tune the optical and electrical properties of.two-dimensional(2D)materials by def.rming their crystal lattice,has attracted signif.cant interest in recent years.2D materials can sustain ultra-high strains,even up to 10%,due to the lack of.dangling bonds on their surf.ce,making them ideal brittle *** remarkable mechanical resilience,together with a strong strain-tunable band structure,endows 2D materials with a broad optical and electrical response upon ***,strain engineering based on 2D materials is restricted by their nanoscale and strain quantif.cation *** this study,we have modif.ed a homebuilt three-points bending apparatus to transf.rm it into a f.ur-points bending apparatus that allows f.r the application of.both compressive and tensile strains on 2D *** approach allows f.r the ef.icient and reproducible construction of.a strain system and minimizes the buckling ef.ect caused by the van der Waals interaction by adamantane encapsulation *** results demonstrate the f.asibility of.introducing compressive strain on 2D materials and the potential f.r tuning their optical and physical properties through this approach.

Precise genome-editing platf.rms are versatile tools f.r generating specif.c,site-directed DNA insertions,deletions,and *** continuous enhancement of.these tools has led to a revolution in the lif. sciences,which promises to deliver novel therapies f.r genetic *** genome-editing can be traced back to the 1950s with the discovery of.DNA’s doublehelix and,af.er 70 years of.development,has evolved f.om crude in vitro applications to a wide range of.sophisticated capabilities,including in vivo ***,precise genome-editing f.ces constraints such as modest ef.iciency,delivery challenges,and of.-target *** this review,we explore precise genome-editing,with a f.cus on introduction of.the landmark events in its history,various platf.rms,delivery systems,and ***,we discuss the landmark events in the history of.precise ***,we describe the current state of.precise genome-editing strategies and explain how these techniques of.er unprecedented precision and versatility f.r modif.ing the human ***,we introduce the current delivery systems used to deploy precise genome-editing components through DNA,RNA,and ***,we summarize the current applications of.precise genome-editing in labeling endogenous genes,screening genetic variants,molecular recording,generating disease models,and gene therapy,including ex vivo therapy and in vivo therapy,and discuss potential f.ture advances.

Understanding the in vivo transport process provides guidelines f.r designing ideal nanoparticles (NPs) with higher ef.icacy and f.wer of.-target ef.ects. Many f.ctors, such as particle size, morphology, surf.ce potential, structural stability, and etc., may inf.uence the delivering process of.NPs due to the existence of.various physiological barriers within the body. Herein, we summarise the distinct inf.uences of.NP physicochemical properties on the f.ur consecutive in vivo transport steps: (1) navigating with bloodstream within blood vessels, (2) transport across vasculature walls into tumour tissues, (3) intratumoural transport through the interstitial space, and (4) cellular uptake & intracellular delivery by cancerous cells. We f.und that the philosophy behind the current consensus f.r NP design has certain similarities to the “Yin-Yang” theory in traditional Chinese culture. Almost all physicochemical properties, regardless of.big or small sizes, long or short length, positive or negative zeta potentials, are double-edged swords. The balance of.potential benef.ts and side ef.ects, drug selectivity and accessibility should be f.lly considered when optimising particle design, similar to the “Yin-Yang harmony”. This paper presents a comprehensive review of.the advancements in NPs research, f.cusing on their distinct f.atures in tumour targeting, drug delivery, and cell uptake. Additionally, it deliberates on f.ture developmental trends and potential obstacles, thereby aiming to uncover the ways these characteristics inf.uence the NPs’ biological activity and provide theoretical guidance f.r the targeted delivery of.NPs. © 2024, Chinese Medical Multimedia Press Co Ltd. The poor corrosion and wear resistances of.Mg alloys seriously limit their potential applications in various *** conventional epoxy coating easily f.rms many intrinsic def.cts during the solidif.cation process,which cannot provide suf.icient *** the current study,we design a double-layer epoxy composite coating on Mg alloy with enhanced anti-corrosion/wear properties,via the spin-assisted assembly *** outer layer is f.nctionalized graphene(f.)in waterborne epoxy resin(WEP)and the inner layer is Ce-based conversion(Ce)*** f. sheets can be homogeneously dispersed within the epoxy matrix to f.ll the intrinsic def.cts and improve the barrier *** Ce f.lm connects the outer layer with the substrate,showing the transition *** corrosion rate of.Ce/WEP/f. composite coating is 2131 times lower than that of.bare Mg alloy,and the wear rate is decreased by~90%.The improved corrosion resistance is attributed to the labyrinth ef.ect(hindering the penetration of.corrosive medium)and the obstruction of.galvanic coupling *** synergistic ef.ect derived f.om the f. sheet and blocking layer exhibits great potential in realizing the improvement of.multi-f.nctional integration,which will open up a new avenue f.r the development of.novel composite protection coatings of.Mg alloys.
