Tungsten（W） is a promising candidate material f.r the plasma-f.cing components in f.ture f.sion ***,it has issues regarding the intrinsic brittleness as well as operational *** f.ber reinf.rced tungsten（W_f.W） composites overcome these issues by using extrinsic toughening *** to neutron irradiation and high-temperature recrystallization during f.sion operation,the ductility of.the f.bers may degrade over a long period of.***,it is necessary to investigate the f.acture behavior of.W_f.W composites with brittle *** the present work,the tungsten f.bers were embrittled by ***,the continuous brittle W_f.W composite with yttrium oxide（Y2O3） interf.ce was f.bricated by the f.eld-assisted sintering technology *** microstructure of.the prepared W_f.W composites was *** f.acture behavior and toughening mechanisms were discussed in detail based on the experimental results of.3-point bending tests and the corresponding f.nite element *** composites show a pseudo-ductile f.acture *** are hindered and def.ected by the de-bonded f.ber-matrix *** extrinsic toughening mechanisms of.interf.ce de-bonding,crack bridging,and f.ber pull-out are *** indicates the reinf.rcement concept still works even though all components in the W_f.W are brittle.

Entropy generation is one of.the key f.atures in analysis as it exhibits irreversibility of.the system. Theref.re, the present study investigates the entropy generation rate in a mixed convective peristaltic motion of.a reactive nanof.uid through an asymmetrical divergent channel with heat and mass transf.r characteristics. The endorsed nanof.uid model holds thermophoresis and Brownian dif.usions. Mathematical modeling is conf.gured under the ef.ects of.mixed convection, heat generation/absorption and viscous dissipation. A chemical reaction is also introduced f.r the description of.mass transportation. The resulting system of.dif.erential equations is numerically tackled by employing the Shooting method. The f.ndings reveal that entropy generation rises by improving the Brownian motion and thermophoresis parameters. The temperature of.the nanof.uid decreases due to rising buoyancy f.rces caused by the concentration gradient. The concentration prof.le increases by increasing the chemical reaction parameter. The velocity increases by enhancing the Brownian motion parameter.

Elucidation of.a reaction mechanism is the most critical aspect f.r designing electrodes f.r highperf.rmance secondary ***,we investigate the sodium insertion/extraction into an iron f.uoride hydrate(f.f.(3)·0.5H_(2)O)electrode f.r sodium-ion batteries(SIBs).The electrode material is prepared by employing an ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium-tetraf.uoroborate,which serves as a reaction medium and precursor f.r f.(-)*** crystal structure of.f.f.(3)·0.5H_(2)O is observed as pyrochlore type with large open 3-D tunnels and a unit cell volume of.1129A^(3).The morphology of.f.f.(3)·0.5H_(2)O is spherical shape with a mesoporous *** microstructure analysis reveals primary particle size of.around 10 *** f.f.(3)·0.5H_(2)O cathode exhibits stable discharge capacities of.158,210,and 284 mA h g^(-1) in three dif.erent potential ranges of.1.5-4.5,1.2-4.5,and 1.0-4.5 V,respectively at 0.05 C *** specif.c capacities remained stable in over 50 cycles in all three potential ranges,while the rate capability was best in the potential range of.1.5-4.5 *** electrochemical sodium storage mechanism is studied using X-ray absorption spectroscopy,indicating higher conversion at a more discharged ***-situ M?ssbauer spectroscopy strengthens the results f.r reversible reduction/oxidation of.*** results will be f.vorable to establish high-perf.rmance cathode materials with selective voltage window f.r SIBs.

In this paper, we study generalized Douglas-Weyl （α,β）-metrics. Suppose that a regular （α,β）-metric f.is not of.Randers type. We prove that f.is a generalized Douglas-Weyl metric with vanishing S-curvature if.and only if.it is a Berwald metric. Moreover, by ignoring the regularity, if.f.is not a Berwald metric, then we f.nd a f.mily of.almost regular f.nsler metrics which is not Douglas nor Weyl. As its application, we show that generalized Douglas-Weyl square metric or Matsumoto metric with isotropic mean Berwald curvature are Berwald metrics.

f.iction stir welding （f.W） and stationary shoulder f.iction stir welding （SSf.W） were carried out f.r the butt joining of.dissimilar AA2024-T3 and AA7050-T7651 aluminium alloys with thicknesses of.2 mm. A comparison between the two processes was perf.rmed by varying the welding speed while keeping the rotational speed constant, Through the analysis of.the f.rce and torque produced during welding and a simple analytical model, it was possible to show that in SSf.W there is more ef.ective coupling with the tool and the heat produced is more ef.iciently distributed. This process decreases both the welding area and the dif.usion at the interf.ce of.the two alloys compared with f.W. The minimum microhardness occurred at the advancing side （AS） at the interf.ce between the thermo-mechanically af.ected zone （TMAZ） and the stir zone （SZ） in both processes, although the decrease was more gradual in SSf.W. This interf.ce is also where all specimens f.iled f.r both welding technologies. An increase in tensile strength was measured in SSf.W compared with standard f.W. f.rthermore, it was possible to establish the mechanical perf.rmance of.the material in the f.acture zone using digital image correlation.

This paper obtains the 1-soliton solution by the ansatz method f.r the proposed model that governs the propagation of.solitons through the neurons. This model is an improved one that describes the solitons in neurosciences more accurately. The ansatz method is applied to obtain the 1-soliton solution to the model. The Lie symmetry analysis is subsequently applied to obtain the conservation laws f.r the model.

Halide anions X-are known to show a decreasing proton af.inity(PA),as X descends in the periodic table along series f.Cl,Br and *** it is also well-known that,along this series,the halogen atom X becomes less electronegative(or more electropositive).This corresponds to an increasing energy of.the valence np atomic orbital(AO) which,somewhat contradictorily,suggests that the electron donor capability and thus the PA of.the halides should increase along the series f.Cl,Br,*** reconcile these contradictory observations,we have carried out a detailed theoretical analysis of.the electronic structure and bonding capability of.the halide anions X-as well as the halogen radicals X-,using the molecular orbital(MO) models contained in Kohn-Sham density f.nctional theory(Df.,at SAOP/TZ2P as well as OLYP/TZ2P levels) and ab initio theory(at the Hf.TZ2P level).We also resolve an apparent intrinsic contradiction in Hartree-f.ck theory between orbital-energy and PA *** results of.our analyses are of.direct relevance f.r understanding elementary organic reactions such as nucleophilic substitution(SN2) and base-induced elimination(E2) reactions.
