Objective:To evaluate the effect of ureteral access sheath(UAS)use and calibration change on stone-free rate and complications of retrograde intrarenal surgery(RIRS).Methods:Data from 568 patients undergoing RIRS for kidney or upper ureteral stones were retrospectively ***,patients were compared after 1:1 propensity score matching,according to UAS usage during RIRS(UAS used[+]87 and UAS non-used[−]87 patients).Then all UAS+patients(n=481)were subdivided according to UAS calibration:9.5-11.5 Fr,10-12 Fr,11-13 Fr,and 13-15 *** outcomes of the study were the success and complications of ***:Stone-free rate of UAS+patients(86.2%)was significantly higher than UAS−patients(70.1%)after propensity score matching(p=0.01).Stone-free rate increased with higher caliber UAS(9.5-11.5 Fr:66.7%;10-12 Fr:87.0%;11-13 Fr:90.6%;13-15 Fr:100%;ppostoperative complications of UAS+patients(11.5%)were significantly lower than UAS−patients(27.6%)(p=0.01).Complications(8.7%)with 9.5-11.5 Fr UAS was lower than thicker UAS(17.2%)but was not statistically significant(p=0.09).UAS usage was an independent factor predicting stone-free status or peri-and post-operative complications(odds ratio[OR]3.654,95%confidence interval[CI]1.314-10.162;OR 4.443,95%CI 1.350-14.552;OR 4.107,95%CI 1.366-12.344,respectively).Conclusion:Use of UAS in RIRS may increase stone-free rates,which also increase with higher caliber *** usage may reduce complications;however,complications seemingly increase with higher UAS calibration.

Background:To describe the diagnostic performance of a deep learning algorithm in discriminating early-stage Fuchs’endothelial corneal dystrophy(FECD)without clinically evident corneal edema from healthy and late-stage FECD eyes using high-definition optical coherence tomography(HD-OCT).Methods:In this observational case-control study,104 eyes(53 FECD eyes and 51 healthy controls)received HDOCT imaging(Envisu R2210,Bioptigen,Buffalo Grove,IL,USA)using a 6 mm radial scan pattern centered on the corneal *** was clinically categorized into early(without corneal edema)and late-stage(with corneal edema).A total of 18,720 anterior segment optical coherence tomography(AS-OCT)images(9180 healthy;5400 early-stage FECD;4140 late-stage FECD)of 104 eyes(81 patients)were used to develop and validate a deep learning classification network to differentiate early-stage FECD eyes from healthy eyes and those with clinical *** 5-fold cross-validation on the dataset containing 11,340 OCT images(63 eyes),the network was trained with 80%of these images(3420 healthy;3060 early-stage FECD;2700 late-stage FECD),then tested with 20%(720 healthy;720 early-stage FECD;720 late-stage FECD).Thereafter,a final model was trained with the entire dataset consisting the 11,340 images and validated with a remaining 7380 images of unseen AS-OCT scans of 41 eyes(5040 healthy;1620 early-stage FECD 720 late-stage FECD).Visualization of learned features was done,and area under curve(AUC),specificity,and sensitivity of the prediction outputs for healthy,early and late-stage FECD were ***:The final model achieved an AUC of 0.997±0.005 with 91%sensitivity and 97%specificity in detecting early-FECD;an AUC of 0.974±0.005 with a specificity of 92%and a sensitivity up to 100%in detecting late-stage FECD;and an AUC of 0.998±0.001 with a specificity 98%and a sensitivity of 99%in discriminating healthy corneas from all ***:Deep learning algorithm is an accurate autonomous nove

In this study, we determined the cytotoxicity and genotoxicity of carbamate insecticide carbaryl to flounder gill （FG） cells and its teratogenicity to zebrafish embryos. The cytotoxicity of carbaryl to FG cells was determined with methods including MTT and neutral red uptaking （NRU）, lactate dehydrogenase （LDH） releasing and Hoechst 33342 and propidiurn idodide （pI） double staining. Moderate cytotoxicity in a concentration-dependent manner was observed. The 24h-IC50 value of 53.48 ± 1.21, 59.13 ± 1.19 and 46.21 ± 1.24 mgL 1 carbaryl was obtained through MTT, NRU and LDH assays, respectively. Double fluorescence staining dem- onstrated that carbaryl induced the death of FG cells mainly through necrosis. There was no significant genotoxicity found in the FG cells exposed to the highest testing concentration of carbaryl （20mgL-1, p〉0.05） as was demonstrated by Comet assay. Zebrafish embryos exposed to carbaryl at concentrations 〉10 mg L-1 displayed moderate toxic effects on the survival, spontaneous movement, hatching, heart rates of the embryos and their development, which were evidenced by yolk and pericardial sac edemas, body length reduction and tail flexure in time- and concentration-dependent manners at specific stages. The 24h-, 48h- and 96h-LC50 values of carbaryl to zebra fish embryos were 41.80 ± 1.10, 17.80 ± 1.04 and 14.46 ± 1.05 mg L-1, respectively. These results suggested that car- baryl is moderately toxic to FG ceils cultured in vitro and zebrafish embryos, and the FG cells were similar to zebrafish embryos in their sensitivity to carbaryl as 24h-IC50 and LC50 indicated.

In this study, static structural analysis of backhoe-loader arms has been performed with the finite element method (FEM). The aim of this study is to simulate and strengthen the back and front arms of the backhoe-loader concerning with stress under maximum loading condition and different boundary conditions. According to analysis result, back and front arms of the backhoe-loader are strengthened with the use of reinforcements. As a result of the study, strength of the arms has been increased by nearly 20%.

prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in men. The rate of early detection of prostate cancer is low in Türkiye. Therefore, it is important to measure the level of awareness regarding prostate cancer. In our research, we investigate the knowledge levels of prostate cancer among adult individuals in four different geographic region in Türkiye. In addition, we aimed to compare the level of awareness regarding prostate cancer and the depression and anxiety levels among the individuals. The prostate cancer awareness level survey was selected as the data collection tool. In the survey, 20 questions are asked to measure the knowledge level of the participants about prostate cancer. In addition, an evaluation of anxiety and depression was conducted by using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS). Between April 2022 and December 2022, 834 participants were reached.72.9% of the participants answered the questionnaire correctly. A significant difference was found in terms of correct response rates in four different provinces located in four different regions of Türkiye (79% in Eskisehir, 75.2% in Canakkale, 73% in Ankara, and 54.4% in Maras;p pression. The knowledge level of most of the participants about prostate cancer was found to be above the average. There was a significant difference between provinces in terms of knowledge levels. A significant relationship was observed between depression and knowledge level. However, no significant difference was found for anxiety.
