malignant cardiac tumors are rare and challenging entity. Experience in treating these aggressive and lethal tumors is minimal and management protocols are not well defined and have to rely on case reports, and personal experiences. most effective therapy for primary cardiac malignancy is a complete surgical resection and the role of ch.m.radiotherapy is still evolving.

A novel simple, sensitive, rapid, direct, and spectrophotometry-based procedure was investigated to determine Th(IV) at trace amounts. The new method is based on Th(IV) chelation with 3,6-dichloro-2,5-dihydroxy-l,4-benzoquinone(DDBQ). The reagent reacts with Th(IV) in 0.1 m hCl to form an orange 1:2 complex. The stability constant value is 6.62×10~4 for the Th(IV)complex. The Th(IV)-DDBQ obtained shows one peak with a maximum at about 346 nm. The chelate forms immediately and the absorbance remains stable for over24 h. Beer's law was obeyed in the concentration range0–10 μg mL^(-1). The molar absorptivity and Sandell's sensitivity were 4.4×10~4 L mol^(-1)cm^(-1) and 0.0053 μg cm^(-2), respectively. Different analytical parameters were tested in detail. Interfering ion(cations and anions) effects were tested. methods for Th(IV) determination by second and third-derivative spectrophotometry were also introduced at about 344 and 341 nm, respectively. These two derivative orders offer the feature of sensitivity without the necessity for solvent extraction,heating, or pre-concentration steps. Finally, the methods were successfully utilized for Th(IV) determination in monazite, environmental water, and wastewater samples.

The quantification of carbon storage in vegetation biomass is a crucial factor in the estimation and mitigation of CO2 ***,arid and semi-arid regions are considered an important carbon ***,they have received limited attention and,therefore,it should be a priority to develop tools to quantify biomass at the local and regional *** plant variables,such as stem diameter and crown area,were reported to be good predictors of individual plant ***-level variables,such as plant cover and mean height,are also easy-to-measure estimators of above-ground biomass(AGB)in dry *** this study,we estimated the AGB in semi-arid woody vegetation in Northeast Patagonia,*** evaluated whether the AGB at the stand level can be estimated based on plant cover and to what extent the estimation accuracy can be improved by the inclusion of other field-measured structure *** also evaluated whether remote sensing technologies can be used to reliably estimate and map the regional mean *** this purpose,we analyzed the relationships between field-measured woody vegetation structure variables and AGB as well as LANDSAT Tm-derived *** obtained a model-based ratio estimate of regional mean AGB and its standard *** plant cover allowed us to obtain a reliable estimation of local AGB,and no better fit was attained by the inclusion of other structure *** stand-level plant cover ranged between 18.7%and 95.2%and AGB between about 2.0 and 70.8 mg/hm^(2).AGB based on total plant cover was well estimated from LANDSAT Tm bands 2 and 3,which facilitated a model-based ratio estimate of the regional mean AGB(approximately 12.0 mg/hm^(2))and its sampling error(about 30.0%).The mean AGB of woody vegetation can greatly contribute to carbon storage in semi-arid ***,plant cover estimation by remote sensing images could be used to obtain regional estimates and map biomass,as well as to assess and monitor the i

A silver removal process was carried out on a Pb-Ag alloy through zinc powder injection of three different sizes （3.55, 44.4 and 734.8μm） with a top submerged lance using nitrogen as carrying gas. The higher silver removal was obtained for the zinc powder size of 44.4μm, while the lowest silver removal efficiency was attained for the smaller particle size. The AgZn phase was detected in the slag for the 44.4 and 734.8μm particle sizes by XRD, which was in agreement with SEm-EDS analysis. Experimental behavior was explained according to the melting and residence time of the injected particles.

Zinc （Zn） is essential to plant growth and relatively mobile in soils. This study was conducted to assess the effect of common ions （Ca2＋, K＋, Na＋, Nh＋, CI-, NO3-, and h2PO4） on sorption of Zn in surface samples of ten calcareous soils from western Iran using 10 mmol L-1 KC1, KNO3, Kh2P04, Ca（N03）2, NAN03, and Nh4N03 solutions as background electrolytes. The results indicated that both Nh＋, K＋, and Ca2＋ equally decreased Zn sorption as compared to Na＋. Zinc sorption was decreased by h2PO4- as compared to NO3 and Cl-. The Langmuir and Freundlich equations fitted closely to the sorption data of all ions. The Langmuir maximum, bonding energy constant, and Freundlich distribution coefficient for Zn sorption differed among the various ionic background electrolytes. Langmuir sorption parameters showed that the presence of h2PO4- decreased the maximum Zn adsorbed, but increased the bonding energy. Although K＋ and Nh＋ equally influenced maximum Zn adsorbed, they differed in their effect on the distribution coefficient of Zn in soils. Values of saturation index calculated using Visual mINTEQ indicated that at the low Zn concentration, Zn solubility was controlled by sorption reactions and at the high Zn concentration, it was mainly controlled by sorption and mineral precipitation reactions, such as precipitation of Zn3（PO4）2.4h2O, Zn5（Oh）6（CO3）2, and ZnCO3. For most ionic background electrolytes, soil ph, CaC03, and cation exchange capacity （CEC） were significantly correlated with sorption parameters.

Introduction: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is caused by a viral infection and considered the third coronavirus emerging among h.m.n beings over the past two decades. healthcare Workers (hCWs) are at high risk of acquiring this serious infection during providing care to patients. Therefore, it’s crucial to assess the knowledge of the hCWs about COVID-19. methods: A multicenter cross-sectional study was conducted on hCWs working at public hospitals and Primary healthcare (PhC) centers in the Najran region, KSA to evaluate the staff’s knowledge toward COVID-19. The questionnaire consisted of two parts, the first part included the demographic data, and the second part involved questions related to the COVID-19. Results: 451 hCWs participated in this study and the median of overall knowledge score was 67%. most hCWs properly identified symptoms (82.9%), mode of transmission (78.5%), the incubation period (96.4%), the way of preventing the infection (91.5%), the COVID-19 is not same as mERS-CoV (74.3%) and availability of a vaccine against the COVID-19 (82%). however, hCWs were less likely to identify the source of COVID-19 when it was discovered in China (22.5%), the mortality rate (44.6%), and the presence of treatment (32.1%). Overall knowledge score was statistically significantly associated with profession (P = 0.034), educational level (P = 0.033), and availability of the infection control in the workplace (P = 0.006). Conclusion: The findings of this study demonstrated an intermediate level of knowledge of hCWs about COVID-19. Intervention programs are urgently needed to raise the knowledge of hCWs about this global public health issue.

Development of Fuzzy Logic System to Predict the SAW Weldment Shape Profiles

A fuzzy model was presented to predict the weldment shape profile of submerged arc welds （SAW） including the shape of heat affected zone （hAZ）. The SAW bead-on-plates were welded by following a full factorial design matrix. The design matrix consisted of three levels of input welding process parameters. The welds were cross-sectioned and etched, and the zones were measured. A mapping technique was used to measure the various segments of the weld zones. These mapped zones were used to build a fuzzy logic model. The membership functions of the fuzzy model were chosen for the accurate prediction of the weld zone. The fuzzy model was further tested for a set of test case data. The weld zone predicted by the fuzzy logic model was compared with the experimentally obtained shape profiles and close agreement between the two was noted. The mapping technique developed for the weld zones and the fuzzy logiemodel earl be used for on-line control of the SAW process. From the SAW fuzzy logic model an estimation of the fusion and hAZ can also be developed.
