multiple regression equations of liquidus temperature, electrical conductivity and bath density of the Na_3AlF_6-AlF_3-BaC1_2-NaCl system were obtained from experiments by using orthogonal regression method. The experiments were carried out in 100A cell with low melting point electrolyte, the influences of cathodic current density, electrolytic temperature, density differences of bath and liquid aluminum on current efficiency (CE) were studied; when the electrolyte cryolite ratio was 2.5, w(BaC1_2) and w(NaCl) were 48% and 10%, respectively, CE reached 90% and specific energy consumption was 10.97k Wb/kg/kg. Because of the fact that aluminum metal obtained floated on the surface of molten electrolyte, this electrolysis method was then defined as low temperature aluminum floating electrolysis. The results showed that the new low temperature aluminum electrolysis process in the Na_3AlF_6-AlF_3-BaC1_2-NaCl bath system was practical and promising.

In this investigation, the ability of biocontrol agents, Trichoderma harzianum and T. aperellum applied in combination and alone, which had been isolated from soil and root chickpea field were compared to control of Fusarium solani. These isolates had shown good control of Fusarium solani in in-vitro condition. Chickpea roots were treated with T. harzianum individually and in combination and planted in artificially infested soil with pathogen F. solani. Although all biocontrol agents applied individually reduced disease incidence, treatments as combination, except for T. harzianum （T-4）＋ T. asperellum （T-6） showed more protective effect. Combination of T. harzianum （T-7）＋ T. asperellum （T-5） isolate gave the best control （51.29%） at greenhouse condition.

The heavy metals determination in tap water samples using microcolumn packed with.m.ltiwalled carbon nanotubes （mWNTs） as a solid-phase extraction adsorbent before to their determination by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry （ICP-mS） has been studied. Standard addition method was applied for the calibration using aqueous solutions. The metals ions absorption were achieved by multiwalled carbon nanotubes （mWNTs） at ph 8.0, and then these retained metals on mWNTs column were eluted by 1.0 mol.L^-1 hNO3. The analytical parameters for the determination ofFe, Cu, and Zn in tap water samples which have been investigated previously were applied. Fifteen tap water samples were collected from different locations of Riyadh.m.tropolitan area and then determined the concentration ofFe, Cu, and Zn by ICP-mS after preconcentration with.m.NTs. The concentration range for Fe, Cu, and Zn measured （μg/L） in water samples are 23.37-137.91, 2.12-121.36, and 14.43-202.47 respectively. The level of Fe exceeded the limits set by WhO and SASO for drinking water.

In this work we present a numerical simulation of REELS-spectrum for noblemetals, Au and Ag. The calculation is based on an electron-surface inelastic scattering modelpreviously developed. The differential inelastic cross section is obtained from an inh.m.geneouselectron self-energy in the surface region, which provides full information of the dependency of thetotal and differential cross section on the kinetic energy, the distance from the surface and th.m.ving direction of electrons, accommodating the formulation to the practical situation in surfaceelectron spectroscopes. A novel monte Carlo simulation code of electron interaction with a surfaceincorporating the local scattering mean free path has been developed. The comparison of thesimulated REELS-spectra with the experimental measurements shows a remarkable agreement on thespectrum shape, which then confirms that the present model for electron-surface inelastic scatteringis quite reasonable. The simulation has further shown the component to surface excitation due tothe individual scattering processes along trajectory part, i.e., the loss in vacuum beforereflection, the loss in vacuum after reflection and loss in metal events.

Renewable energy options, including solar power, are becoming increasingly viable alternatives to conventional sources of energy, such as oil, coal and natural gas. Solar Photovoltaic （PV） technology is one type of solar energy technologies that has recently received substantial attention because it offers the possibility of providing clean power sources for buildings. The aim of this paper is to examine the economic viability of using solar PV within future residential buildings in the oil-rich Saudi Arabia. Strictly speaking, the prospects of using the PV in order to provide 10% of the electricity to be consumed in the houses, which are going to be built in Sandi Arabia over the period 2010-2025, are examined. The study reveals that significant economic and environmental benefits could be realized as a result of such an endeavor.

Turkey is an important country which has pistachio trees in the world. The Southeastern Anatolia Project （GAP） region located in southeastern of Anatolia has all of pistachio trees. In other words, pistachio trees have grown only in GAP region. Provinces of ~anliurfa, Gaziantep and Adiyaman are in the GAP region. In this study, we have investigated problems of pistachio farmers in these cities. So, we applied survey to pistachio farmers. Then we analyzed data which we had from the surveys with SPSS. As a result, the farmers have mainly got input problems, marketing problems, processing problems, keeping problems, financial problems, labor problems and managerial problems. As a solution, pistachio farmers must set up cooperatives which help finding inputs, markets, loan, labor, manager th.m.and come up with their problems. Government has to support pistachio farmers and price of pistachio yield, pistachio farmers must have training programs about theirs works. Finally, pistachio nuts of stock market must be surely founded.

Let {Tn } be a renewal process in R＋ representing the successive arrival times of some natural events. We studied this process by using a record process approach under the assumption that the interarrival times T,, = Tn, - Ta-1, n = 1, 2...are exponentially i.i.d （independent and identically distributed）. The goal is to test that the first observed events are sporadic events. For testing the hypothesis ＂sporadic＂ we used the non-parametric test based on the probability distribution of the statistic of the number of records N, among{Xx }k-1= where Xk = （ΔTk）-1. We showed that it is independent of the cumulative distribution of the observations and that it is exactly calculated for each n. We illustrated this statistic on a simulated trajectory and we compared it with descriptive smoothing methods. We studied an application to a data set as storms in France and US.
