Environmental correlates of sedentary behaviors and physical activity in Chinese preschool children:A cross-sectional study

Objective:This cross-sectional study examined environmental correlates of sedentary behavior(SB) and physical activity(PA) in preschool children in the urban area of Tianjin,***:Data were collected from the Physical Activity and Health in Tianjin Chinese Children study,involving healthy children 3-6 years old and their *** all children(n=980),leisure-time SB(LTSB) and leisure-time PA(LTPA) were reported in min/day by *** a subgroup(n=134),overall sedentary time,light PA,and moderate-to-vigorous PA(MVP A) were objectively measured using ActiGraph accelerometry(>3 days,>10 h/day).Environmental correlates were collected using a questionnaire that included home and neighborhood characteristics(e.g.,traffic safety,presence of physical activity facilities) and children’s *** correlates were identified using linear regression ***:Multiple linear regression analysis showed that "having grandparents as primary caregivers"(βs and 95% confidence intervals(95%CIs)for overall sedentary time:29.7(2.1-57.2);LTSB(In):0.19(0.11-0.28)) and "having a television(for LTSB(In):0.13(0.00-0.25)) or computer(for LTSB(ln):0.13(0.03-0.23) in the child’ s bedroom" were both associated with higher ***, "having grandparents as primary caregivers" was associated with less MVPA(β(95%CI):-7.6(-14.1 to-1.2)),and "active commuting to school by walking" correlated with more MVPA(β(95%CI):9.8(2.2-17.4)).The path model showed that "more neighborhood PA facilities close to home" was indirectly related to higher LTPA(In),which was partly mediated by "outdoor play"(path coefficients(95%CI):0.005(0.002-0.008)) and "going to these facilities more often"(path coefficients(95%CI):0.013(0.008-0.01 8)).Traffic safety was not a ***:Family structure and media exposure in the home maybe important factors in shaping preschoolers’ PA *** environmental correlates could indirectly influence preschoolers’ LTPA through parental h

The use of nanoparticles is considered promising for enhanced oil recovery(EOR),especially when they are combined with ***,the combination of nano-sized material with surface-active ionic liquids(SAILs)is an unexplored EOR *** this work,the advantages of mixing Al2O3 nanoparticles with the SAIL 1-dodecylpyridinium chloride were *** nanofluids in brine could only be achieved using the polymer polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP)as a stabilizing *** was found that the addition of nanoparticles(and PVP)to the surfactant formulation helped to:slightly increase its viscosity,enhance its water-oil interfacial tension(IFT)reduction capacity,and reduce the adsorption on carbonate rocks(adsorption on sandstone was found to be excessive).IFT was selected as target property to minimize for the design of EOR *** flooding tests were carried out with surfactant(0.5 wt%[C_(12)py]Cl),surfactant-polymer(0.5 wt%[C_(12)py]Cl,1.0 wt%PVP)and nanofluid(0.05 wt%Al_(2)O_(3),1.0 wt%PVP,0.5 wt%[C12py]Cl)formulations in brine(0.5 wt%NaCl).Additional oil recoveries of 3.4%,7.4%and 12.0%OOIP were achieved,respectively,the nanofluid formulation being the most promising for the ***,it was found capable of changing the wettability of carbonate rocks from oilwet to *** significance of this work lies in showing the new possibilities resulting from the combination of SAILs and nanoparticles for EOR,specifically the combination of[C_(12)py]Cl with Al_(2)O_(3).

The biliary system consists of intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile ducts lined by biliary epithelial cells(cholangiocytes).Bile ducts and cholangiocytes are affected by a variety of disorders called cholangiopathies,which differ in aetiology,pathogenesis,and *** of cholangiopathies is complex and reflects pathogenic mechanisms(immune-mediated,genetic,drug-and toxininduced,ischaemic,infectious,neoplastic),predominant morphological patterns of biliary injury(suppurative and non-suppurative cholangitis,cholangiopathy),and specific segments of the biliary tree affected by the disease *** the involvement of large extrahepatic and intrahepatic bile ducts is typically visualised using radiology imaging,histopathological examination of liver tissue obtained by percutaneous liver biopsy still plays an important role in the diagnosis of cholangiopathies affecting the small intrahepatic bile *** increase the diagnostic yield of a liver biopsy and determine the optimal therapeutic approach,the referring clinician is tasked with interpreting the results of histopathological *** requires knowledge and understanding of basic morphological patterns of hepatobiliary injury and an ability to correlate microscopic findings with results obtained by imaging and laboratory *** minireview describes the morphological aspects of small-duct cholangiopathies pertaining to the diagnostic process.

Unmanned Remotely Operated Vehicles(ROVs)are widely used in safety-critical missions,spanning across monitoring,surveillance,and search and rescue *** most cases,the human operator controls the ROV under stressful conditions and in harsh *** physical and mental states of the operator are vital as they may cause involuntary movements,issuing unintentional commands due to fatigue or ***,a joint monitoring mechanism that will assess the operator's commands can be beneficial in preventing potentially catastrophic events,such as *** this end,in this study,we propose a data collection framework for creating a fused dataset,consisting of data obtained from both the human operator and the ROV,and we integrate stress induction to stimulate stress and fatigue that may affect operators during *** optimise the dataset,which includes the operator's physiological signals and inertial measurement unit(IMU)sensor data from the ROV,using data fusion approaches and feature *** evaluate the dataset through the statistical analysis,illustrating a statistical difference between data characterising normal and involuntary ***,we evaluate the optimised and original datasets over a variety of classifiers,demonstrating an accuracy of 94%and 95%,respectively.

Purpose:This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the effect of wearable devices for improving physical activity and healthrelated outcomes in cancer ***:CINAHL,Cochrane,Ebscohost,MEDLINE,Pubmed,ProQuest Health and Medical Complete,ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health Source,ScienceDirect,and SPORTDiscus databases were searched for randomized controlled trials published before September 1,2020,that evaluated interventions involving wearable devices in cancer *** mean differences(SMDs)were calculated to assess effects on physical activity and health-related *** analyses were conducted to assess whether the effects differed by interventions and cancer *** of bias was assessed using the Cochrane risk of bias ***:Thirty-five trials were included(breast cancer,n=15,43%).Intervention durations ranged between 4 weeks and 1 *** trials(n=25,71%)involved pedometer-based physical activity ***(20%)involved Fitbit-based interventions,and 3(9%)involved other wearable physical activity trackers(e.g.,Polar,Garmin).Compared to usual care,wearable devices had moderate-to-large effects(SMD range 0.54-0.87,p<0.001)on moderate-intensity physical activity,moderate-to-vigorous-intensity physical activity,total physical activity,and daily *** to usual care,those in the intervention had higher quality of life,aerobic fitness,physical function,and reduced fatigue(SMD range=0.18-0.66,all p<0.05).Conclusion:Wearable physical activity trackers and pedometers are effective tools that increase physical activity and improve health-related outcomes in individuals with *** how these devices can be implemented for longer-term use with other intervention components remains an area for future research.

Background:Grounded in intersectionality theory,this study examined the 6-year prevalence trend and correlates in meeting Canada’s 24-Hour Movement Guidelines(Guidelines hereafter)in a nationally representative adolescent samples of South Korea(officially the Republic of Korea).Methods:Self-reported,annually repeated cross-sectional data collected between 2013 and 2018 were used(n=372,433,12-17 years old,47.9%females).Adolescents were categorized as meeting or not meeting different sets of physical activity,screen time(ST),and sleep recommendations within the Guidelines,separately for weekdays and weekend *** correlates included sex and social class(i.e.,family economic status,parental education level,and academic performance).Multiple logistic regression analyses were ***:Overall,the proportion of adolescents meeting physical activity,ST,and sleep recommendations were 5.3%,60.3%,and 10.2%on weekdays and 5.3%,28.2%,and 46.4%on weekend days,*** 2013 and 2018,no substantial changes were observed for meeting the physical activity or sleep recommendation,while meeting the ST recommendation was markedly lower in *** proportion of meeting all 3 recommendations were 0.5%for weekdays and 0.8%for weekend ***,compared to female adolescents,male adolescents were consistently associated with more favorable patterns of meeting different sets of recommendations,regardless of social *** females only,social class appeared to be not important or even detrimental in meeting different sets of *** male,compounded with social class,was associated with meeting the ST ***:Less than 1%of Korean adolescents met the overall ***-based analysis and intervention may be important in promoting healthy active lifestyles among South Korean adolescents.

In a recent study in Nature,1 Shapira et *** that the peptidomimetic compound N-0385 inhibited SARS-CoV-2 infection in vitro in remarkably low concentrations by blocking the host cell protease TMPRSS2,which mediates proteolytic cleavage of the SARS-CoV-2 major surface glycoprotein spike(S).Accordingly,N-0385 protected experimentally infected mice from severe SARS-CoV-2 pathology.
