Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the chronic effects of a 12-week recreational soccer program(RSP)on resting metabolic rate(RMR)in adolescents with *** Eighteen adolescents with obesity were assigned to RSP[n=10,age=13.8±1.5 years,body mass index(BMI)=30.7±5 kg/m^(2)]and control(n=8,age=14.9±1.4 years,BMI=32.5±4.1 kg/m^(2))*** underwent anthropometric,body composition,cardiorespiratory fitness and RMR assessments at baseline and *** 12-week RSP consisted of small-sided games with 60-min performed 3 times per *** Post-intervention,between-group differences due to RSP emerged for body mass(Δ:−15.1 kg,P=0.043),BMI(Δ:−4.7 kg,P=0.05),waist and hip circumferences(Δ:−14.6 and−16.6 cm,P=0.015 and P=0.017,respectively),fat mass(Δ:−8.7 kg,P=0.049)and VO2max(Δ:5.5 mL/kg/min,P=0.013).No significant differences were detected for the absolute and adjusted RMR for fat mass and fat-free mass at baseline and after 12 weeks for both RSP and control groups,although a marked downward trend of 27.6%for adjusted RMR was observed post-control(1915 vs.1386 kcal/day;Δ:−529 kcal/day).Conclusion A 12-week RSP was effective for improving anthropometric,body composition and cardiorespiratory fitness health markers in adolescents with obesity,but not for RMR.

Breast cancer(BC) is the most common malignant neoplasm and the cause of death by cancer among women worldwide. Its development, including malignancy grade and patient prognosis, is influenced by various mutations that occur in the tumor cell and by the immune system's status, which has a direct influence on the tumor microenvironment and, consequently, on interactions with non-tumor cells involved in the immunological response. Among the immune response cells, dendritic cells(DCs) play a key role in the induction and maintenance of anti-tumor responses owing to their unique abilities for antigen cross-presentation and promotion of the activation of specific lymphocytes that target neoplasic cells. However, the tumor microenvironment can polarize DCs, transforming them into immunosuppressive regulatory DCs, a tolerogenicphenotype which limits the activity of effector T cells and supports tumor growth and progression. Various factors and signaling pathways have been implicated in the immunosuppressive functioning of DCs in cancer, and researchers are working on resolving processes that can circumvent tumor escape and developing viable therapeutic interventions to prevent or reverse the expression of immunosuppressive DCs in the tumor microenvironment. A better understanding of the pattern of DC response in patients with BC is fundamental to the development of specific therapeutic approaches to enable DCs to function properly. Various studies examining DCs immunotherapy have demonstrated its great potential for inducing immune responses to specific antigens and thereby reversing immunosuppression and related to clinical response in patients with BC. DCbased immunotherapy research has led to immense scientific advances, both in our understanding of the antitumor immune response and for the treatment of these patients.

The umbucajazeira is specie native to the Brazilian Northeast semiarid areas, which is economically explored based on the fruit. The fruit has a high agroindustrial potential, mainly for jam production. The aim of this study was to evaluate through sensorial analysis, two formulations of umbu-caja jams: a dietetic one with xylitol, used as an option for substitution of the sugars, and a conventional one. The proportion of 50:50:0.5 (pulp/sugar/pectin or pulp/xylitol/pectin) was used for jam processing. The mixture was concentrated up to reach 65°Brix. The jams were evaluated by 50 non-trained tasters, through a hedonic scale of nine points, whereas the following attributes were used: appearance, color, flavor, aroma and texture. The results of the physical and physicochemical analysis showed that the characteristics of jams prepared with sucrose are close to the ones made with xylitol, except for the total sugars and the energetic value. The jams had pH values ranging between 2.37 and 2.92;titratable acidity varying between 0.56 and 0.78 g citric acid/100 g pulp;soluble solids ranging between 60.92°and 65.08°Brix, respectively. A tendency for yellow color was noticed by the color analysis. Jam diet had the highest scores for appearance (7.4 - 7.7). No significant differences (p > 0.05) were obtained to flavor and texture. The fruit of the umbucajazeira showed to be adequate for jam manufature since they had good sensorial acceptance. The use of xylitol was satisfactory for obtaining a product with jam characteristics similar to the conventional jam, but with lower energetic value.

Background:While Enterobacteriaceae bacteria are commonly found in the healthy human gut,their colonization of other body parts can potentially evolve into serious infections and health *** investigate a graph-based machine learning model to predict risks of inpatient colonization by multidrug-resistant(MDR)***:Colonization prediction was defined as a binary task,where the goal is to predict whether a patient is colonized by MDR Enterobacteriaceae in an undesirable body part during their hospital *** capture topological features,interactions among patients and healthcare workers were modeled using a graph structure,where patients are described by nodes and their interactions are described by ***,a graph neural network(GNN)model was trained to learn colonization patterns from the patient network enriched with clinical and spatiotemporal ***:The GNN model achieves performance between 0.91 and 0.96 area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUROC)when trained in inductive and transductive settings,respectively,up to 8%above a logistic regression baseline(0.88).Comparing network topologies,the configuration considering ward-related edges(0.91 inductive,0.96 transductive)outperforms the configurations considering caregiver-related edges(0.88,0.89)and both types of edges(0.90,0.94).For the top 3 most prevalent MDR Enterobacteriaceae,the AUROC varies from 0.94 for Citrobacter freundii up to 0.98 for Enterobacter cloacae using the best-performing GNN ***:Topological features via graph modeling improve the performance of machine learning models for Enterobacteriaceae colonization *** could be used to support infection prevention and control programs to detect patients at risk of colonization by MDR Enterobacteriaceae and other bacteria families.

The success of sexual plant reproduction is directly influenced by specific interactions between the pollen and ***,fluorescence and scanning electron microscopy techniques were used to evaluate the steps of pollination in sour passion fruit plants(Passiflora edulis Sims).In the compatible interaction,pollen tubes grow through stigma projections towards the *** pollen grain surface was found to be spheroidal and to consist of heteroreticulate exine with six ***,analysis in vivo of pollenpistil interactions indicated that stigmas of flowers 24 hours before anthesis are unable to discriminate compatible(genetically unrelated)and incompatible(genetically related)pollen *** together,these results provide insight into the cellular mechanisms underlying pollination in passion fruit plants.

AIM:To evaluate the clinical outcomes after Ferrara intrastromal corneal ring segments(ICRS)reoperation in patients with ***:A total of 37 keratoconus eyes implanted with intrastromal corneal ring segments,which had an ICRS exchange,addition,reposition or removal were *** visual acuity(UCVA),best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),keratometry(K),asphericity(Q)and pachymetry at the thinnest point(PTP)of the cornea were evaluated using a corneal tomography(Oculus Pentacam,USA)RESULTS:The mean follow-up time after the reoperation was 30.5±9.7 *** mean UCVA improved from 20/300 to 20/80(P=0.005);the mean BCVA improved from 20/160 to 20/50(P=0.0002),the mean keratometry reduced from 49.33±4.19D to 46.16±3.90D(P=0.0001),the mean pachymetry at the thinnest point increased from 450±42.9μm to 469±40.8μm(P=0.0001).The asphericity increased from-0.84±0.74 to-0.35±0.81(P=0.15)and the spherical equivalent reduced from-4.64±4.87D to-3.04±3.45D(P=0.137).The changes in the asphericity and spherical equivalent were not statistically ***:Ferrara ICRS implantation showed to be a reversible and readjustable surgical procedure for keratoconus *** outcomes can be obtained even after removal,addition,reposition or exchange of ICRS.

Building Information Models (BIM) have revealed themselves as a good tool to support construction actions, due to their ability to store all the information in one digital model and to promote collaboration between all participants in a project. Teaching Civil Engineering requires a permanent updating of knowledge concerning procedures and technologies used in the construction industry. In this sense, the school should seek to adapt its curriculum to include innovative issues to support new technologies. So, in an educational context, the aim of the present work is to disseminate knowledge concerning the benefits provided when implementing BIM in several aspects within the construction activity. In a Civil Engineering school some topics of BIM application were developed by students within MSc researches. The text describes in detail some of the main topics, showing distinct use of BIM: Generation and use of a 4D/BIM model to support construction planning;coordination of construction project based on BIM methodology;conflict analysis based in an architectural 3D/BIM model. Several study cases were modelled and analyzed, confronting the BIM use with the traditional way when performing the same tasks, and consequently recommendations were carried out. This work contributed to demonstrate the advantages of employing BIM for building tasks purposes when compared with the traditional process, and in a didactic context the main objective is to add competitive skills in the training of future civil engineers.

This essay argues that black and white cinema spawned a resistance to changing times that is still very present in the new generation of directors who follow classic film traditions while subverting them with consistent narrative *** Artist,the best picture Oscar award winner in 2012,is an example of this resistance as it pays homage to some of the greatest silent films of the first two or three decades of cinema history.“The Dark Side of the Screen”aims to underline that there is an unchanging power of the phantasmagoria so present in black and white movies,produced not only in the silent era but also in film noir through lighting effects and camera angles which characterize the work of major noir directors like Fritz Lang,Billy Wilder,and Orson Welles,who knew everything about the unutterable mysteries hidden on the dark side of the screen.

Transition metal sulfide(TMS)anodes exhibit the characteristics of phase stability and high capacity for lithium/sodium-ion batteries(LIBs/SIBs).However,the TMS anodes often suffer from poor electronic conductivity,low ionic diffusion and large volume expansion during Li/Na-ion intercalation significantly impairing the Li/Na-storage ***,a long chain heterostructure composed of the Co_(9)S_(8) and SnS are first reported,which can generate rich phase interfaces,and small crystal *** unique structure can facilitate the properties of reactivity,conductivity and ionic *** addition,the heterostructure surface is modified by the N-doped carbon(N-DC@(CoSn)S),successfully improving the structural *** synergistic effects of Co_(9)S_(8)/SnS heterostructure and coated carbon layer effectively increase the capacity and cycling *** N-DC@(CoSn)S anode delivers enhanced high specific capacities of 820.6 mAh·g^(−1) at 1.0 A·g^(–1) after 500 cycles for LIBs and 339.2 mAh·g^(–1)at 0.5 A·g^(–1) after 1000 cycles for SIBs,*** work is expected to provide a material design idea for preparing LIBs/SIBs with high capacity and long cycling life.
