Background:The European rabbit(Oryctolagus cuniculus L.1758)was introduced into different regions of the world,generating significant trade‑offs that critically impacted native ***,we evaluate the rabbit’s forage intakes in three vegetation types(forests,shrublands,and grasslands)along the four seasons in a temperate forest landscape in Southern Patagonia and discuss the potential threats over native *** formulated the following questions:(i)what is the forage offer at each vegetation type?(ii)what is the rabbit’s forage intake and how it varied across the seasons along the year?and(iii)which vegetation types and plant life forms were more used according to the rabbit’s forage intakes?Methods:We censused understory vegetation to characterize the forage offer at each vegetation type and determined seasonal dietary intakes using microhistological analysis of *** plant species identified in the field were grouped according to life form classes(tree regeneration,shrubs,forbs,graminoids,orchids,ferns,bryophytes,and hemiparasites).Data were analysed through uni‑and multi‑variate analyses,determining relationships between forage offer and the rabbit’s forage ***:Forage intakes revealed changes in plant life form consumption across vegetation types,where intake pressure was considerably different for tree regeneration(p=0.001),graminoids(p=0.001),and hemiparasites(p=0.001).Besides,significant changes in consumption among seasons were detected for shrubs(p=0.001),ferns(p=0.030),and hemiparasites(p=0.002).Although many species play an important role in the rabbit’s forage intake networks(e.g.,Chiliotrichum diffusum,Holcus lanatus),the strongest intake linkages were found in exotic grasses(e.g.,Poa pratensis and Festuca sp.),native hemiparasites(e.g.,Misodendrum sp.),native shrubs(e.g.,Empetrum rubrum),and native trees(e.g.,Nothofagus sp.).The summer and autumn seasons presented higher intake compared to the winter and spring seasons.F

Africa and China relationship was formally established in the 1950s but trade and cooperation date back over 100 years. Recently, as China’s economy has continued to grow and transform the country into a major global player in all spheres, it has become clear that China increasingly needs to secure reliable sources of resources to support its economic development. Westerns investors have long labeled Africa as risky, unsafe and backward;but it has also been attractive to so called adventurous as can provide very lucrative returns and profits. African leaders are consciously recognized the difficulty and discriminatory obstacles unfairly lay in front of them by western countries （former colony masters） that impede Africa development for decade. As such, and in this new era of globalization, Africa in particular West Africa countries, are looking for a reliable trade and economy partner to enhance its development in a respectful manner. China rise offered an opportunity for a balanced and respectful trade and economy relationship with West African Countries that dignify mutual respect on win-win basis. Traditionally energy, oil, and other raw materials represent the most attractive and immediate business opportunities in Western Africa, but nowadays Africa market as diversified, consumer demand is going high and social demand of manufacturing products is also on rise, especially the demand of locally manufactured products;therefore investment on manufacturing, infrastructure development, supplies and services are also very important part of Africa-China relationship. These areas of investment provide new opportunities for Africa-China cooperation, and could form the pillar of Chino-Africa cooperation in near future. Dear Editor,The Arabidopsis CONSTITUTIVELY PHOTOMORPHOGENIC1/ SUPPRESSOR OF PHYA-105 （COP1/SPA） complex is a key repressor of light signaling that inhibits light responses in dark- ness. It acts as an E3 ubiquitin ligase, which ubiquitinates posi- tively acting light-signaling intermediates, mainly transcription factors, thereby targeting them for proteolytic degradation by the 26S proteasome. In the light, photoreceptors directly interact with the COP1/SPA complex, leading to its inactivation, which subsequently allows the target transcription factors to accumu- late and initiate vast reprogramming of gene expression （Huang et al., 2014）.

Magnetic lattices for ultracold atoms and degenerate quantum gases

We review recent developments in the use of magnetic lattices as a complementary tool to optical lattices for trapping periodic arrays of ultracold atoms and degenerate quantum gases. Recent advances include the realisation of Bose–Einstein condensation in multiple sites of a magnetic lattice of one-dimensional microtraps, the trapping of ultracold atoms in square and triangular magnetic lattices,and the fabrication of magnetic lattice structures with submicron period suitable for quantum tunnelling ***, we describe a proposal to utilise long-range interacting Rydberg atoms in a large spacing magnetic lattice to create interactions between atoms on neighbouring sites.

Nanoencapsulation of Human Adipose Mesenchymal Stem Cells: Experimental Factors Role to Successfully Preserve Viability and Functionality of Cells

Cell nanoencapsulation is a novel delivery system based on a self-assembly technique mediated by electrostatic interactions called Layer-by-Layer (LbL) deposition, without an increase in volume implant because of the nanometric thickness of its layers. LbL coats the entire surface of individual cells, providing mechanical resistance to cells against manipulation and storage conditions prior to implantation in the patient. In this work, single-cell nanocapsule formation using human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSC) given their potentiality in regenerative medicine was assessed by fluorescence microscopy and Zeta potential assays. Both methodologies were conclusive in showing layer-by-layer nanocapsule formation of every single ADSC. Significant differences in terms of viability and cell functionality preservation were observed depending on the polycation used. Using a combination of fluorescence microscopy and fluorimetric assays, we found that cell survival after nanocapsulation was only efficient when chitosan was added to cells. These results were consistent with other cell types used in this study. Other polycations such as poly(allylamine hydrochloride) (PAH), poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDADMAC) and poly-L-lysine (PLL) markedly decreased cell viability (22%, 11% and 15%, respectively). In addition, the use of potassium-enriched saline solutions, such as Hanks and Ringer’s solution, during the nanoencapsulation process on ADSCs was harmful on cell viability compared to standard media (36% vs 79%, respectively). The addition of a mixture of polyanions such as hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate did not affect cell viability (79% and 81%). The combination of chitosan/hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate was also effective in preserving the cell functionality of ADSCs, including the proliferation and differentiation of these cells as assessed by MTT assay and microscopy, respectively. In vivo gastric mucosal histopathology using endocytoscopy

AIM： To investigate features of Epstein-Barr virus （EBV）associated gastric carcinoma （EBVaGC） among a Mexican population. METHODS： Cases of primary gastric adenocarcinoma were retrieved from the files of the Departments of Pathology at the Instituto Nacional de Cancerologia and the Instituto Nacional de la Nutrición in Mexico City. The anatomic site of the gastric neoplasia was identified, and carcinomas were histologically classified as intestinal and diffuse types and subclassified as proposed by the Japanese Research Society for Gastric Cancer. EBV-encoded small non-polyadenylated RNA-1 （EBER-1） in situ hybridization was conducted to determine the presence of EBV in neoplastic cells. RESULTS： We studied 330 consecutive, non-selected, primary gastric carcinomas. Among these, there were 173 male and 157 female patients （male/female ratio 1.1/1）. EBER-1 was detected in 24 （7.3%） cases （male/ female ratio： 1.2/1）. The mean age for the entire group was 58.1 years （range： 20-88 years）, whereas the mean age for patients harboring EBER-1-positive gastric carcinomas was 65.3 years （range： 50-84 years）. Age and histological type showed statistically significant differences, when EBER-1-positive and -negative gastric carcinomas were compared. EBER-1 was detected in hyperplastic- and dysplastic-gastric mucosa surrounding two EBER-1-negative carcinomas, respectively. CONCLUSION： Among Latin-American countries, Mexico has the lowest frequency of EBVaGC. Indeed, the Mexican population 〉50 years of age was selectively affected. Ethnic variations are responsible for the epidemiologic behavior of EBVaGC among the worldwide population.
