Performance comparison of training algorithms for the estimation of b?hme abrasion resistance using neural networks

Natural stones used as floor and wall coverings are exposed to many different abrasive forces,so it is essential to choose suitable materials for wear resistance in terms of the life of the *** abrasion resistance of natural stones can be determined in the laboratory by applying the b?hme abrasion resistance(bAR)***,the direct analysis of bAR in the laboratory has disadvantages such as wasting time and energy,experimental errors,and health *** eliminate these disadvantages,the estimation of bAR using artificial neural networks(ANN)was *** natural stone samples were collected from Türkiye,and uniaxial compressive strength(UCS),flexural strength(FS),water absorption rate(WA),unit volume weight(UW),effective porosity(n),and bAR tests were carried *** outputs of these tests were gathered and a data set,consisting of a total of 105 data,was randomly divided into two groups:testing and *** the current study,the success of three different training algorithms of Levenberg-Marquardt(LM),bayesian regularization(bR),and scaled conjugate gradient(SCG)were compared for bAR prediction of natural *** criteria such as coefficient of determination(R~2),mean square error(MSE),mean square error(RMSE),and mean absolute percentage error(MAPE),which are widely used and adopted in the literature,were used to determine predictive *** findings of the study indicated that ANN is a valid method for estimating the bAR ***,the LM algorithm(R~2=0.9999,MSE=0.0001,RMSE=0.0110,and MAPE=0.0487)in training and the bR algorithm(R~2=0.9896,MSE=0.0589,RMSE=0.2427,and MAPE=1.2327)in testing showed the best prediction *** has been observed that the proposed method is quite practical to *** the artificial neural networks method will provide an advantage in similar laborintensive experimental studies.

This paper addresses the extended （G′/G）-expansion method and applies it to a couple of nonlinear wave equations. These equations are modified the benjamin-bona-Mahoney equation and the boussinesq equation. This extended method reveals several solutions to these equations. Additionally, the singular soliton solutions are revealed, for these two equations, with the aid of the ansatz method.

Anodic behavior of aripiprazole(ARP) was studied using electrochemical *** transfer,diffusion and surface coverage coefcients of adsorbed molecules and the number of electrons transferred in electrode mechanisms were calculated for quasi-reversible and adsorp-tion-controlled electrochemical oxidation of ARP at 1.15 V versus Ag/AgCl at pH 4.0 in britton-Robinson buffer(bR) on glassy carbon *** methods for direct determination of ARP in pharmaceutical dosage forms and biological samples were *** range is found as from 11.4 μM(5.11 mg/L) to 157 μM(70.41 mg/L) without stripping mode and it is found as from 0.221 μM(0.10 mg/L) to 13.6 μM(6.10 mg/L) with stripping *** of detection(LOD) was found to be 0.11 μM(0.05 mg/L) in stripping *** were successfully applied to assay the drug in tablets,human serum and human urine with good recoveries between 95.0% and 104.6% with relative standard deviation less than 10%.

The Frequency of Fibromyalgia Syndrome and the Quality of Life in Patients with Peritoneal Dialysis

,b>Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the frequency of fibromyalgia (FM) in patients on Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) and to investigate its impact on the quality of life of that population. Methods: A hundred and twenty four patients with end stage renal disease who had undergone PD, and a control group of 54 age and sex-matched healthy volunteers were included to the study. Demographic characteristics including age, sex, disease and dialysis duration were recorded. Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQ) and Nottingham Health Profile (NHP) were also measured. Results: The mean age of the patients (68 female, 56 male) and control subjects (36 female, 18 male) were 43.5 ± 13.4 and 41.2 ± 9.2 years respectively. The prevalence of FM in the PD patients and controls were determined as 9.7% (12 patients) and 11.1% (6 controls) respectively and were found to be similar (p = 0.983). The mean score of sub- groups of NHP except pain and emotion subgroups, were significantly higher in PD patients than in the control group. The mean FIQ levels, the scores of all the subgroups of NHP except the social subgroup were significantly higher in PD patients with FM than in those without FM. Conclusion: In conclusion although the prevalence of FM appears to be similar in PD patients and control subjects, the functional disability is common and quality of life is worse in PD patients with FM than in patients without FM. Detection and treatment of FM may lead to improvement in the quality of life of PD patients with this syndrome.

background： We examined the impact of adjuvant modalities on resected pancreatic and periampullary adenocarcinoma（PAC）.Methods： A total of 563 patients who were curatively resected for PAC were retrospectively analyzed between 2003 and ***： Of 563 patients, 472 received adjuvant chemotherapy（CT） alone, chemoradiotherapy（CRT） alone, and chemoradiotherapy plus chemotherapy（CRT-CT） were analyzed. Of the 472 patients, 231 were given CRT-CT, 26 were given CRT, and 215 were given CT. The median recurrence-free survival（RFS） and overall survival（OS） were 12 and 19 months, respectively. When CT and CRT-CT groups were compared, there was no significant difference with respect to both RFS and OS, and also there was no difference in RFS and OS among CRT-CT, CT and CRT groups. To further investigate the impact of radiation on subgroups, patients were stratified according to lymph node status and resection margins. In node-positive patients, both RFS and OS were significantly longer in CRT-CT than CT. In contrast, there was no significant differencebetween groups when patients with node-negative disease or patients with or without positive surgical margins were ***： Addition of radiation to CT has a survival benefit in patients with node-positive disease following pancreatic resection.
