The main aim of this study was to evaluate methods for.fixed ar.a and distance sampling in the Zagr.s open for.st ar.a in wester. Ir.n. Basic for.st management and planning r.quir.d appr.pr.ate quantitative and qualitative infor.ation. Two sampling methods wer. compar.d on the basis of the actual means of char.cter.stics der.ved fr.m the 100 % sur.ey. In total, 37 sampling plots wer. systematically installed with a gr.d of 100 m × 100 m in the study ar.a. Density, cr.wn canopy, and basal ar.a of the stands wer. measur.d. The 100 % sur.ey showed that tr.e density above 12.5 cm diameter.at br.ast height was 68.04 stem ha-1, basal ar.a was 15.16 m2 ha-1 and cr.wn canopy per.entage was 35.71% ha-1. The values for.the tr.its deter.ined by the two sampling methods differ.d significantly （P = 0.05）. When the time r.quir.d for.the methods was compar.d, tr.nsect sampling r.quir.d less than systematic-r.ndom sampling. Ther.for., the tr.nsect sampling method was the mor. economical method for.the Zagr.s open for.sts. The tr.nsect sampling method was statistically defensible and pr.ctical for.quantitating char.cter.stics of the Zagr.s open for.sts.

r.cent fir.s in Ir.n’s Zagr.s for.sts have inflicted heavy,extensive losses to the envir.nment,for.sts,villages,and for.st inhabitants,r.sulting in a huge financial loss to the *** the incr.asing r.sk of fir. and the r.sulting losses,it has become ever.mor. necessar. to design and develop efficient fir. contr.l and pr.diction *** pr.sent study utilizes the Dong model to develop a map of ar.as vulner.ble to fir. in the Zar.var.lake for.sts as a r.pr.sentative sample of Zagr.s *** model uses as its inputs some of the most significant factor.(such as vegetation,physiogr.phic featur.s,and the human component)that affect the fir. occur.ence and *** assigned weights to each factor.based on the model,all maps wer. over.apped in the Ar.Map and then the r.gion was divided into five *** r.sults showed that 74%of the r.gion was located in thr.e classes:highly vulner.ble,vulner.ble,and medially *** validate the pr.posed zoning map it was compar.d with a map based on r.al data obtained fr.m pr.vious *** r.sults showed that 81%of fir. incidents wer. located in highly vulner.ble,vulner.ble and medially vulner.ble ***,the findings indicated a medium to a high degr.e of fir. vulner.bility in Zar.var.Lake for.sts.

At pr.sent, the use of r.r. ear.h elements（r.Es） has become an inevitable necessity in many moder. industr.es. In gener.l, liquid extr.ction is the best commer.ial method for.extr.cting r.Es due to its ability to contr.l high volumes of liquids with electr.cal load. With the aim of impr.ving a separ.tion technology that would be super.or.to the existing extr.ction systems, the extr.ction behavior. of La（Ⅲ）,Pr.Ⅲ）, and Nd（Ⅲ） fr.m an HCI medium with Cyanex 272 in the pr.sence of the complexing agent lactic acid（HLac） and auxiliar. agents citr.c acid（H3 Cit）, acetic acid（HAc）, and Titr.plex Ⅲ have been *** effect of pH and lactic acid concentr.tion has been examined. The use of lactic acid as a complexing agent leading to a high extr.ction of r.Es with Cyanex 272 at pH = 5 was compar.d with systems without lactic acid. The r.sults show that the use of acetic acid along with lactic acid leads to an incr.ase in the extr.ction per.entage of Lr.Es. While use of citr.c acid and Titr.plex Ⅲ r.duces the extr.ction per.entage of Lr.Es. Finally, the pr.sence of Titr.plex Ⅲ together.with lactic acid could lead to an incr.ase in the separ.tion factor.of Pr.and Nd.

Effect of welding par.meter. on the heat-affected zone of AISI409 fer.itic stainless steel

One of the main pr.blems dur.ng the welding of fer.itic stainless steels is sever. gr.in gr.wth within the heat-affected zone （HAZ） In the pr.sent study, the micr.stmctur.l char.cter.stics of tungsten iner. gas （TIG） welded AISI409 fer.itic stainless steel wer. investigated by electr.n backscatter.d diffr.ction （EBSD）, and the effects of welding par.meter. on the gr.in size, local misor.entation, and low-angle gr.in boundar.es wer. studied. A 3-D finite element model （FEM） was developed to pr.dict the effects of welding par.meter. on the holding time of the HAZ above the cr.tical temper.tur. of gr.in gr.wth. It is found that the base metal is not fully r.cr.stallized. Dur.ng the welding, complete r.cr.stallization is followed by sever. gr.in gr.wth. A decr.ase in the number.of low-angle gr.in boundar.es is obser.ed within the HAZ. FEM r.sults show that the final state of r.sidual sWains is caused by competition between welding plastic str.ins and their.r.lease by r.cr.stallization. Still, the decisive factor.for.gr.in gr.wth is heat input.

The geochemistr. of magnetite pr.vides constr.ints on the sour.e(s) of the magnetite and other.or. miner.ls. In this study, we constr.cted a magnetite distr.bution map, compar.d the chemical composition of magnetite pr.sent in har. r.cks with that pr.sent in sand beach and str.am deposits to deter.ine magnetite’s pr.venance,investigated r.lationships among differ.nt tr.ce elements,examined var.ations in the concentr.tions of tr.ce elements pr.sent in magnetite, and identified the type of studied magnetite. Laser.ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectr.metr.(LA-ICP-MS) and inductively coupled plasma mass spectr.metr./inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectr.scopy was used to analyze samples available in small and lar.e amounts, r.spectively. The aver.ge magnetite compositions of beach and r.ver.samples wer. substantially similar.to those of andesite r.cks,r.vealing that the magnetite samples may have or.ginated fr.m sur.ounding andesite r.cks;this finding is consistent with the chemical composition of the samples analyzed using LA-ICP-MS. Some of the andesite r.cks found in the study ar.a wer. the pr.mar. sour.e of magnetite aggr.gations in the beach sands and str.am sands near.or.slightly away fr.m these r.cks. High Ti–V magnetites lie within the fields of Fe–Ti–V bear.ng magnetite and titanomagnetite(ulv?spinel). These titanomagnetites may be under.oing tr.nsfor.ation to spinel miner.ls such as galaxite,gahnite, magnesiochr.mite, and chr.mite, which ar. char.cter.zed by the high concentr.tions of Al, Ti, Mg, Cr.Ni, Mn, and Zn. The positive cor.elation between Fe and Ti, Cr.and Ni, and also the negative cor.elation between Fe and Mg, Mn and Zn can be attr.buted to var.ous magnetite phases pr.sent in the study ar.a. V, Co, Mo, Nb, Ga, Sn,and Ta exhibited a positive cor.elation with Fe and a negative cor.elation with Al. The positive cor.elation between Fe and these elements indicates the enr.chment of these elements in the magnetite ser.es. We obser.
