Gastrointestinal infections are a major cause for serious clinical complications in *** induction of antibody responses by B cells is critical for protective immunity against infections and requires CXCR5+PD-1++CD4+T cells(TFH cells).We investigated the ontogeny of CXCR5+PD-1++CD4+T cells in human *** CXCR5+PD-1++CD4+T cells were absent in fetal intestines,CXCR5+PD-1++CD4+T cells increased after birth and were abundant in infant intestines,resulting in significant higher numbers compared to *** findings were supported by scRNAseq analyses,showing increased frequencies of CD4+T cells with a TFH gene signature in infant intestines compared to ***-cultures of autologous infant intestinal CXCR5+PD-1+/−CD4+T cells with B cells further demonstrated that infant intestinal TFH cells were able to effectively promote class switching and antibody production by B *** together,we demonstrate that functional TFH cells are numerous in infant intestines,making them a promising target for oral pediatric vaccine strategies.

AIM: To evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention for reducing social stigma towards mental illness in adolescents. The effect of gender and knowledge of someone with mental illness was measured. METHODS: Two hundred and eighty secondary school students were evaluated using the Community Attitudes towards Mental Illness(CAMI) questionnaire. The schools were randomized and some received the intervention and others acted as the control group. The programme consisted of providing information via a documentary film and of contact with healthcare staff in order to reduce the social stigma within the school environment. RESUlTS: The intervention was effective in reducing the CAMI authoritarianism and social restrictiveness subscales. The intervention showed significant changes in girls in terms of authoritarianism and social restrictiveness, while boys only showed significant changes in authoritarianism. Following the intervention, a significant reduction was found in authoritarianism and social restrictiveness in those who knew someone with mental illness, and only in authoritarianism in those who did not know anyone with mental illness. CONClUSION: The intervention was effective to reduce social stigma towards people with mental illness, especially in the area of authoritarianism. Some differences were found depending on gender and whether or not the subjects knew someone with mental illness.

AIM:To investigate the effect of Tenascin C(TNC)on the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and matrixmetalloproteinases in human cardiac myofibroblasts(CMF).METHODS:CMF were isolated and cultured from patients undergoing coronary artery bypass *** cells were treated with either TNC(0.1μmol/l,24 h)or a recombinant protein corresponding to different domains of the TNC protein;fibrinogen-like globe(FBG)and fibronectin typeⅢ-like repeats(TNⅢ5-7)(both 1μmol/l,24 h).The expression of the proinflammatory cytokines;interleukin(Il)-6,Il-1β,TNFαand the matrix metalloproteinases;MMPs(MMP1,2,3,9,10,MT1-MMP)was assessed using real time RT-PCR and western blot ***:TNC increased both Il-6 and MMP3(Plevels in cultured human CMF but had no significant effect on the other markers *** increase in Il-6 mR NA expression was mirrored by an increase in protein secretion as assessed by enzymelinked immunosorbant assay(Pl-6mR NA and protein(Pll-like receptor 4(TlR4)in human CMF was confirmed by real time RT-PCR,western blot and ***-incubation of cells with TlR4neutralising antisera attenuated the effect of both TNC and FBG on Il-6 mR NA and protein ***:TNC up-regulates Il-6 expression in human CMF,an effect mediated through the FBG domain of TNC and via the TlR4 receptor.

温度对黄脸油葫芦卵滞育解除的影响

黄脸油葫芦在我国分布广泛,对农作物造成一定程度的危害.调查了温度对江苏泗洪地区黄脸油葫芦卵滞育的影响,检测了低温对其卵滞育的解除效果及高温对促进滞育解除的影响.结果表明:黄脸油葫芦的卵在30、25、20℃的温度条件下均进入滞育;8℃处理40 d以上对黄脸油葫芦的卵滞育具明显的解除效果,但要完全解除其滞育需经8℃处理100 d以上;8℃低温处理20 d尚未能有效解除黄脸油葫芦卵的滞育,但8℃低温处理20 d后再30℃加温,卵的孵化虽然很不整齐,但在60 d内孵化率可达100%;同样,8℃低温处理20 d后经30℃处理7 d以上也会显著提高其孵化率,说明高温具促进黄脸油葫芦卵滞育解除的效果.高温对黄脸油葫芦卵滞育解除的促进作用,在维持其生活史的整齐性,并使其发育与季节保持同步方面具有重要的生态意义.

罗马标准是目前关于功能性胃肠病（ FGID）分类最全面且不断更新的标准。罗马Ⅰ、Ⅱ标准分别于1994年、1999年发布。罗马Ⅱ标准开始单列儿童FGID分类。2006年，根据年龄不同，婴幼儿（0-36个月）和儿童（〉36个月） FGID的罗马Ⅲ诊断标准发布，但相关的流行病学、病理生理学、诊断检查、治疗策略以及预后等资料都很少。
