RNA viruses are critically dependent upon virally encoded proteases to cleave the viral polyproteins into functional *** of these proteases exhibit a similar fold and contain an essential catalytic cysteine,offering the opportunity to inhibit these enzymes with electrophilic small *** we describe the successful application of quantitative irreversible tethering(qIT)to identify acrylamide fragments that target the active site cysteine of the 3C protease(3Cpro)of Enterovirus 71,the causative agent of hand,foot and mouth disease in humans,altering the substrate binding ***,we re-purpose these hits towards the main protease(Mpro)of sARs-CoV-2 which shares the 3C-like fold and a similar active *** hit fragments covalently link to the catalytic cysteine of Mpro to inhibit its *** demonstrate that targeting the active site cysteine of Mpro can have profound allosteric effects,distorting secondary structures to disrupt the active dimeric unit.

In October 2023,the International Energy Agency(IEA)released a report identifying inadequate grid infrastructure as a key threat to meeting the climate goals laid out by the Paris Agreement[1],the landmark 2015 international treaty in which 196 parties agreed to limit global warming to well below 2℃ above preindustrial levels[2].Importantly,funding for the treaty’s calledfor transition from fossil fuels to clean energy has accelerated[3],with recently legislated massive governmental subsidies and other incentives(e.g.,the Inflation Reduction Act[4])aimed specifically at promoting renewable ***,a commensurate surge in investment in electrical grids has not materialized;instead,it has stagnated for the past decade at around 300 billion UsD per year worldwide[1].

Methane cracking is considered a bridge technology between gray and green hydrogen production *** this work an experimental study of methane cracking in molten tin is *** tests were conducted in a quartz reactor(i.d.=1.5 cm,L=20 cm)with capillary injection,varying temperature(950–1070℃),inlet methane flow rate(30–60 mL·min^(-1))and tin height(0–20 cm).The influence of the residence time in the tin and in the headspace on methane conversion and on carbon morphology was *** conversions obtained in tin and in the empty reactor were measured and compared with results of detailed kinetic simulations(CRECK).Furthermore,an expression of a global kinetic constant for methane conversion in tin was also *** highest conversion(65%at Q_(0)=30 mL·min^(-1) and t=1070℃)is obtained for homogeneous gas phase reaction due to the long residence time(70 s),the presence of tin leads to a sharp decrease of residence time(1 s),obtaining a conversion of 35%at 1070℃,thus meaning that tin owns a role in the *** characterization(scanning electron microscopy,Raman)reported a change in carbon toward sheet-like structures and an increase of the carbon structural order in the presence of molten tin media.

Objectives:To date,no study provides a comprehensive analysis of traumatic orbital floor fractures across the United *** aimed to characterize patient demographics,injury-related variables,and operative management in this ***:The National Trauma Data Bank was queried for open or closed orbital floor fractures from 2008 to *** data were ***:Overall,148,592 orbital floor fractures were identified,with 142,577(95.9%)closed-and 6158(4.1%)open-type fractures.A total of 106,243(71.5%)patients were male and the median patient age was 41 *** majority of patients(79.2%)had abbreviated injury scale scores of≤2,indicating minor/moderate *** mechanism of injury(MOI)differed by gender,with the most frequent being unarmed fights in men(34.3%)and falls in women(14.0%).There were 29,600 patients(19.9%)with isolated orbital floor(I-OF)*** MOI most strongly associated with operative intervention of with I-OF fractures were penetrating injuries caused by a firearm(odds ratio[OR]:2.91;95%confidence interval[CI]:1.62–5.20)and cuttings/piercings(OR:2.17;95%CI:1.29–3.65).Conclusion:This large epidemiological study reveals that orbital floor fractures tend to present with minor or moderate injuries and are more likely to require operative intervention in setting of firearm or cut/pierce injuries.

自主制造系统的研究既受益于信息物理融合系统这一新技术的推动，也响应工业实际需求的号召。目前，先进的传感器技术、数字孪生、人工智能和新型通信技术可以支持半结构化工业环境中的自主操作，可实现对生产过程的实时监控、情况识别和预测、自动和自适应（重新）规划、团队合作，以及通过学习提高性能。本文总结了实现自主工业机器人技术的主要需求，提出了实现此类系统的通用工作流程，并介绍了HUN-REN sZTAKI最近在装配、焊接、打磨、拾取和放置以及机械加工等多个应用领域的广泛实践。这些解决方案的共同点是以通用的数字孪生概念为核心。最后，本文提出实现工业自主机器人解决方案的一般建议，并讨论了未来要研究的一些开放性问题。

While most mammals show birth hour peaks at times of the 24-h cycle when they are less active,there are exceptions to this general *** exceptions have been little explored,but may clarify evolutionary reasons for the diel timing of *** investigated intraspecific variation in birth hour in wild blue monkeys Cercopithecus mitis stuhlmanni,a diurnal primate,to identify factors that differentiated daytime versus nighttime *** and life history data from 14 groups over 14 years revealed that 4%of 484 births occurred during the *** of daytime birth varied with mother’s age,peaking at 15.7 *** whose annual timing deviated most from the population’s peak birth months were 5 times more likely to occur during daytime than those that deviated *** was no evidence that mother’s rank or infant sex influenced birth hour,and mixed evidence that daytime births were more probable in larger *** did not differ significantly for infants born during the day versus ***-aged mothers may be able to handle the consequences of an unusual birth hour more successfully than mothers with less experience or those weakened by *** birth may be more advantageous in the off-season because nights are colder at that time of *** findings are consistent with hypotheses relating birth hour to the risk of losing social protection in group-living animals,but are not consistent with those emphasizing risk of conspecific *** of within-species variation can help in evaluating evolutionary hypotheses for non-random birth hour.
