Trust beyond Technology Algorithms: A Theoretical Exploration of Consumer Trust and Behavior in Technological Consumption and AI Projects

In an era dominated by artificial intelligence (AI), establishing customer confidence is crucial for the integration and acceptance of AI technologies. This interdisciplinary study examines factors influencing customer trust in AI systems through a mixed-methods approach, blending quantitative analysis with qualitative insights to create a comprehensive conceptual framework. Quantitatively, the study analyzes responses from 1248 participants using structural equation modeling (SEM), exploring interactions between technological factors like perceived usefulness and transparency, psychological factors including perceived risk and domain expertise, and organizational factors such as leadership support and ethical accountability. The results confirm the model, showing significant impacts of these factors on consumer trust and AI adoption attitudes. Qualitatively, the study includes 35 semi-structured interviews and five case studies, providing deeper insight into the dynamics shaping trust. Key themes identified include the necessity of explainability, domain competence, corporate culture, and stakeholder engagement in fostering trust. The qualitative findings complement the quantitative data, highlighting the complex interplay between technology capabilities, human perceptions, and organizational practices in establishing trust in AI. By integrating these findings, the study proposes a novel conceptual model that elucidates how various elements collectively influence consumer trust in AI. This model not only advances theoretical understanding but also offers practical implications for businesses and policymakers. The research contributes to the discourse on trust creation and decision-making in technology, emphasizing the need for interdisciplinary efforts to address societal challenges associated with technological advancements. 针对退役动力电池应用于不同场景的经济性问题，提出了一种考虑多因素电池容量衰减的动力电池梯次利用及其优化控制方法。综合考虑放电深度、电池荷电水平以及电池自放电造成的容量衰减，建立了动力电池容量衰减模型，并结合雨流计数法估计动力电池寿命。将梯次电池储能系统应用于用户侧与电网侧，储能系统成本包括投资成本与运维成本，其中，运行成本考虑了电池容量衰减成本。在用户侧考虑储能系统项目期间的总收益最大，包括电价峰谷套利以及减少两部制电价下用户的需量电费；在电网侧考虑储能系统参与负荷调峰的效益。最后，针对不同场景进行了算例仿真。结果表明，所提出的动力电池梯次利用及其优化控制方法可以在延长储能系统寿命的同时提高经济性。

Dear Editor,Dengue is a worldwide zoonosis,transmitted by mosquitoes and highly prevalent in tropical and subtropical *** recent years,its incidence has increased with a massive healthcare burden worldwide[1]and recent climatic changes have expanded the geographic range of the insect vector with described outbreaks in Europe.[2]Most patients present pauci-symptomatic infections,but some patients could present severe manifestations with high reported mortality[[3],[4],[5]]and no specific *** bleeding,hemodynamic failure and various organ damage(cardiac,renal,neurological,and hepatic)are described in severe dengue(SD)patients.[5]In the future,intensivists worldwide will be increasingly treating SD and the spectrum of severe organ impairment should be well known.

Alcohol and illicit drugs:prevalence of alcohol and illicit drug use and their predictors in young people from Argentina,Bulgaria,Chile and Romania

Background:Alcohol and illicit drugs(AID)continue to be a major global health *** preventable,AID is linked to millions of deaths annually *** situation is particularly grave for young people,with AID being a major direct risk factor for disability-adjusted youth life-years lost and *** further contributes to assaults,road crashes,accidental poisoning,and suicide,leading to long-term issues and public health ***:This study aimed at disclosing current AID prevalence data for Argentinian,Bulgarian,Chilean and Romanian *** shed light on the predictors of AID in young people from those ***:The study used an online survey to gather data from people aged 18 to 25(n=1,297).The survey was underpinned by the theory of planned behaviour(TPB).Predictors were investigated separately for drinking alcohol and using illicit ***:Our data revealed that across the four target countries,49%to 90%of the participants drank alcohol,and 8%to 35%used illicit drugs in the past three *** 20%and 91%of them intended to drink,and between 8%and 31%intended to use illicit drugs in the following three *** TPB model predicted statistically significant(P<0.001)amounts of variance in drinking alcohol(between 61%and 72%)and using illicit drugs(between 20.3%and 74.4%).Intention was consistent in significantly predicting both *** around the predictive validity of self-efficacy,age and gender was mixed across the investigated ***:This research provided an update on the scarce AID epidemiological *** also supplied evidence about what theoretically-informed measures might be useful targets of interventions in the case of Argentina,Bulgaria,Chile and *** new knowledge of understanding substance abuse determinants and prevalence may help researchers and practitioners better meet young people's health prevention needs.

Highly transparent anti-reflection coating enhances the underwater efficiency and stability of perovskite solar modules

Perovskite solar cells have shown great potential in the field of underwater solar cells due to their excellent optoelectronic properties;however,their underwater performance and stability still hinder their practical *** this research,a 1H,1H,2H,2H-heptadecafluorodecyl acrylate(HFDA)anti-reflection coating(ARC)was introduced as a high-transparent material for encapsulating perovskite solar modules(PSMs).Optical characterization results revealed that HFDA can effectively reduce reflection of light below 800 nm,aiding in the absorption of light within this wavelength range by underwater solar ***,a remarkable efficiency of 14.65%was achieved even at a water depth of 50 ***,the concentration of Pb^(2+)for HFDA-encapsulated film is significantly reduced from 186 to 16.5 ppb after being immersed in water for 347 ***,the encapsulated PSMs still remained above 80%of their initial efficiency after continuous underwater illumination for 400 ***,being exposed to air,the encapsulated PSMs maintained 94%of their original efficiency after 1000 h light *** highly transparent ARC shows great potentials in enhancing the stability of perovskite devices,applicable not only to underwater cells but also extendable to land-based photovoltaic devices.

Sb_(2)Se_(3) with unique one-dimensional(1D) crystal structure exhibits exceptional deformation tolerance,demonstrating great application potential in flexible ***,the power conversion efficiency(PCE) of flexible Sb_(2)Se_(3) photovoltaic devices is temporarily limited by the complicated intrinsic defects and the undesirable contact ***,a high-quality Sb_(2)Se_(3) absorber layer with large crystal grains and benign [hkl] growth orientation can be first prepared on a Mo foil *** NaF intermediate layer is introduced between Mo and Sb_(2)Se_(3),which can further optimize the growth of Sb_(2)Se_(3)thin ***,positive Na ion diffusion enables it to dramatically lower barrier height at the back contact interface and passivate harmful defects at both bulk and *** a result,the champion substrate structured Mo-foil/Mo/NaF/Sb_(2)Se_(3)/CdS/ITO/Ag flexible thin-film solar cell delivers an obviously higher efficiency of 8.03% and a record open-circuit voltage(V_(OC)) of 0.492 *** flexible Sb_(2)Se_(3) device also exhibits excellent stability and flexibility to stand large bending radius and multiple bending times,as well as superior weak light photo-response with derived efficiency of 12.60%.This work presents an effective strategy to enhance the flexible Sb_(2)Se_(3) device performance and expand its potential photovoltaic applications.

Organic heterojunction synaptic device with ultra high recognition rate for neuromorphic computing
