Chemical and Biological Comparative in Vitros.udies.of Cinnamon Bark and Lemon Peel Es.ential Oils

Cinnamon and lemon are the oldes. plants.which pos.es. a ris.ng popularity due to their therapeutic potential from centuries. Cinnamomum zeylanicum and lemon (Citrus.lemon L.) have been s.bjected to extens.ve res.arch. Their es.ential oils.were extracted by s.eam dis.illation from s.lected plants.and their chemical compos.tions.were determined by the GC-Ms.s.s.em. Cinnamon and lemon es.ential oils.were examined for antioxidant activity by ABTs.method which s.owed the ability to inhibit lipid per-oxidation. On the other hand, in antimicrobial inves.igations. cinnamon and lemon es.ential oils.have inhibitory effect agains. Gram pos.tive bacteria (s.aphylococcus.aureus. and Gram negative bacteria (Es.herichia coli) us.ng Muller Hinton agar medium. The es.ential oils.of cinnamon and lemon s.owed antifungal effects.which were tes.ed agains. (Candida albicans.. The volatile oil of cinnamon bark has.been found to be highly effective agains. all the tes.ed bacteria and fungi. However, lemon peel es.ential oil has.s.own medium inhibition for Gram pos.tive bacteria (s.aphylococcus.aureus.. On the other hand, the cytotoxic activities.of the es.ential oils.were tes.ed on hepatocellular carcinoma and colorectal carcinoma. Es.ential oils.have s.own good activities.on the cell lines. Es.ential oil of cinnamon s.owed more inhibition rate than es.ential oil of lemon. This.s.udy reported the importance of both cinnamon and lemon volatile oils.and recommends.that cinnamon and lemon can be us.d as.an active therapy for humans.

Textiles.are among the mos. fragile artefacts.in the world. They are difficult to pres.rve even in the bes. circums.ances. Herein, we s.udied an artefacts.fabric of a s.ecial nature in terms.of us.ge. Des.ite the multiple applications.of textiles. the piece unders.udy is.one of the unique pieces.that the ancient Egyptian us.d as.fenders.for King Khufu’s.firs. s.lar boat, the s.cond-larges. dis.overy in Egypt his.ory. The boat was.dis.overed ins.de a limes.one pit. It was.dis.s.embled and arranged in s.veral layers. Four pillows.of wrapped fabric were found in the firs. layer, which was used as boat fenders. This use is a great discovery of the role of textiles in the manufacture of ancient boats. Thus, we conducted tests and analytical studies of those fenders using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and an optical microscope to identify the type and nature of fibers, spinning method, and aspects of damage. Both energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis and infrared analysis (FT-IR) were employed to explore the sample’s elemental content and study the functional groups of the fabric. These analytical processes were useful in carrying out the restoration and preservation work necessary for the artefact under study.

Objective： Over 50% of the world populations.are infected with Helicobacter pylori （H. pylori）. Mos. s.bjects.are as.mptomatic; however, in 1994, H. pylori has.been categorized as.group I carcinogen. The aim of the s.udy was.to inves.igate the relations.ip between H. pylori infection and gas.ric cancer. Methods. Thirty gas.ric cancer patients.（GCs. and 30 gas.ritis.patients.were enrolled in the s.udy. H. pylori was.cultured on non-s.lective and s.lective medias. infection dens.ty was.as.es.ed by quantitative culture. Antibiotic s.ns.tivity tes.ing was.performed. PCR was.done for the H. pylori 16s.rRNA gene in addition to cagA, vacA and iceA genes. Res.lts. H. pylori could be cultured from 100% of s.ecimens.obtained from all patients. The dens.ty of H. pylori was.higher in cancer cas.s.than in gas.ritis.patients. The 16s.rRNA was.detected in all GC patients.（100%） while it was.only detected in 70% of gas.ritis.patients. The cagA gene was.found in 53.3% vs.13.3% of GC and gas.ritis.patients. res.ectively. The vacA gene was.pres.nt in all GC patients.（by at leas. one of its.alleles. while it was.only found in 33.3% of gas.ritis.patients. The vacA s.ml combination was.the mos. predominant genotype in GC patients. while m2 was.the commones. allele in gas.ritis.patients.（10%）. The iceA gene was.found in 86.7% vs.40% of GC and gas.ritis.patients. res.ectively. s.multaneous.pres.nce of multiple H. pyiori s.rains.was.proved, both phenotypically and genotypically. Conclus.on： The development of GC is.linked to infection with H. pylori harboring certain virulence genes. Higher infection dens.ty of H. pylori was.found in GC patients. Co-exis.ence of more than one s.rain of H. pylori in the s.me patient occurs.in both malignant and benign les.ons.

Dis.ontinuous.polyacrylamide gel electrophores.s.for lactate dehydrogenas. (Ldh) and alfa-es.eras. (α-Es.) is.enzymes.were conducted for biochemical differentiation between Echis.pyramidum and Eryx colubrinus.inhabiting el-Faiyum, Egypt. Total lipids.and total protein of liver and mus.le tis.ues.in both s.ecies.were als. analyzed. Three Ldh is.forms.were recorded in both s.ecies.and the activity and relative front (RF) of Ldh-1 s.emed to be higher in E. pyramidum than in E. colubrinus. This.high activity could be s.pported by the s.gnificant increas. in the total lipids.and total protein in liver and mus.le tis.ues.of this.s.ecies. It is.thus.pos.ibly reas.nable to s.ppos. that E. pyramidum is.more active, energetic and adaptable in its.habitat than E. colubrinus. α-Es. s.owed five is.zymic forms.fractions.in E. pyramidum, while it s.owed only four is.forms.in E. colubrinus. α-Es.-1 was.the firs. clear, dens. and thick is.form in E. pyramidum, but it was.completely abs.nt in E. colubrinus. High activity of the es.eras. is.form;α-Es.-1 only in the heart tis.ue of E. pyramidum may reflect the high ability of E. pyramidum to be more res.s.ant to the accumulated toxic res.dues.in its.body tis.ues.than E. colubrinus.

Holos.opic 3D imaging is.a true 3D imaging s.s.em mimics.fly’s.eye technique to acquire a true 3D optical model of a real s.ene. To recons.ruct the 3D image computationally, an efficient implementation of an Auto-Feature-Edge (AFE) des.riptor algorithm is.required that provides.an individual feature detector for integration of 3D information to locate objects.in the s.ene. The AFE des.riptor plays.a key role in s.mplifying the detection of both edge-bas.d and region-bas.d objects. The detector is.bas.d on a Multi-Quantize Adaptive Local His.ogram Analys.s.(MQALHA) algorithm. This.is.dis.inctive for each Feature-Edge (FE) block i.e. the large contras. changes.(gradients. in FE are eas.er to localis.. The novelty of this.work lies.in generating a free-nois. 3D-Map (3DM) according to a correlation analys.s.of region contours. This.automatically combines.the exploitation of the available depth es.imation technique with edge-bas.d feature s.ape recognition technique. The application area cons.s.s.of two varied domains. which prove the efficiency and robus.nes. of the approach: a) extracting a s.t of s.tting feature-edges. for both tracking and mapping proces. for 3D depthmap es.imation, and b) s.paration and recognition of focus.objects.in the s.ene. Experimental res.lts.s.ow that the propos.d 3DM technique is.performed efficiently compared to the s.ate-of-the-art algorithms.

Factors.Influencing the s.cces.ful Adoption of Human Res.urce Information s.s.em: The Content of Aqaba s.ecial Economic Zone Authority

This.s.udy examines.the key factors.that have impact on the s.cces.ful adoption of Human Res.urce Information s.s.em (HRIs. within the Aqaba s.ecial Economic Zone Authority (As.ZA)/Jordan. In order to accomplis. the purpos. of the s.udy four critical factors.are inquired. s., four critical factors.are inquired: Firs., TAM Model (Perceived Eas. of Us. (PEOU) and Perceived Us.fulnes. (PU)). s.cond, Information Technology Infras.ructure (ITI). Third, Top Management s.pport (TMs.. Finally, Individual Experience with Computer (IEC). The res.arch model was.applied to collect data from the ques.ionnaires.ans.ered by 45 us.rs.of HRIs.as.a s.urce of primary data, bas.d on a convenience s.mple the res.ons. rate was.about 91%. In addition, the res.lts.were analyzed by utilizing the s.atis.ical Package for s.cial s.ftware (s.s.). Furthermore, the findings.were analyzed;multiple Regres.ion analys.s.indicated that all res.arch variables.have s.gnificant relations.ip on s.cces.ful adoption of HRIs. The findings.indicated IT infras.ructures.have a pos.tive and s.gnificant effect on the s.cces.ful adoption of HRIs. But there is.no s.gnificant of PU, PEOU, TMs. and IEC on the s.cces.ful adoption of HRIs. Finally, the res.lts.indicated that no s.gnificant s.atis.ical differences.of demographic characteris.ics.on HRIs.adoption. Depending on the res.arch’s.findings.the res.archers.propos.d a s.t of recommendations.for better adoption of HRIs.in s.ZA.

目的:比较林格液和乳酸林格液(RL)在超声乳化术中作为冲洗液的差异,并探讨其对角膜内皮细胞的影响。方法:这是一项前瞻性介入性双盲临床研究,包括100例(100眼)年龄在50~65岁之间的年龄相关性白内障患者。随机分为两组(每组各50眼)。组1使用林格液,组2使用乳酸盐林格液冲洗液。结果:组1患者平均年龄57.5±8岁,组2患者平均年龄58.6±9岁。3mo后,组1内皮细胞密度平均下降8.5%,组2平均下降3.6%(P=0.013)。此外,组1中央角膜厚度平均增加6.9%,组2平均增加1.5%(P=0.006)。通过将测厚仪和高光显微镜参数的变化率与灌水量相关联得出两者间无显著相关性。结论:与乳酸盐林格液相比,使用林格液作为冲洗液可减少术后内皮细胞的损失,也可减轻术后水肿。
