Ni-Phthalocyanine thin films were thermally evaporated with different substrate temperatures (300 - 450) K on (silicon wafer, glass) substrates. The chemical bonds of NiPc powder were investigated by FTIR spectrum, which introduce good information for NiPc bonds and their locations. The optical properties have been studied by UV-Visible, and Photoluminescence (PL) Spectra. The NiPc thin films have direct gap for all samples. The values of energy gap which is calculated by PL spectra are lower than those calculated by Tauc equation. It is found there are three activation energies, the mobility and concentration of carriers have been measured and, the NiPc films are p-type. P-NiPc/n-Si HJ solar cell was fabricated at substrates temperatures (300, 400) K. From I-V and C-V characteristic, abrupt junction has been found, photovoltaic characteristics have been observed with Voc of (0.335 - 0.415) V, and Isc of (2.77 - 4.26) μA, and the efficiency of (3.08 - 5.03)% at room temperature and substrate temperature (300, 400 K) and under illumination of 55 mW/cm2 using Halogen lamp. Ideality factors of the junction increase from (0.61 - 0.73) and barrier height increases from 2.53 eV to 3.69 eV while shunt resistance decreases from 3.76 KΩ to 2.59 KΩ and series resistance decreases slightly from 0.24 KΩ to 0.23 KΩ. The fill factor decreases from 0.46 to 0.4 with the increase of substrate temperature.

The thin films of Nickel Phthalocyanine (NiPc) on glass substrates were prepared by vacuum evaporation at different substrates temperatures (300, 325, 350, 400, 450) K. The structure and surface morphology of NiPc in powder and thin film forms (265 nm) were studied using X-ray diffraction and atomic force microscope (AFm), and showed that there was a change and enhance in the crystallinity and surface morphology due to change in the substrates temperatures. Analysis of X-rays diffraction patterns of NiPc in powder form showed that it had an α-polycrystalline phase with monoclinic system with lattice constants a = 1.513 nm, b = 0.462 nm, c = 2.03 nm and β = 123.46°. Thermal evaporation of NiPc at different substrates temperatures led to β-crystalline films oriented preferentially to the (100) plane with different substrate temperatures. The mean crystallite size increased with substrates temperatures from 300 K to 450 K. This result was supported by AFm measurements, which exhibited a relatively larger grain size.

Objective:To evaluate the histochemical alterations in DNA and total carbohydrates,in colorectal cancer ***:This study was carried out on 48 colorectal carcinoma and 10 adenoma *** and Eosin staining was carried out for histopathological examination to confirm the diagnosis and to evaluate the histopathological characteristics of *** grade and pathologic stage was assessed according to TNm staging *** was also assessed according to original Dukes’staging *** was demonstrated by Feulgen method and carbohydrates were demonstrated by periodic acid Schiff’s ***:Adenoma cases showed that the cells lining the glands of the polyp have more crowded,irregular and darker nuclei(hyperchromatic),anisonucleosis,abnormal mitotic figures with prominent nucleoli and variability in the size and shape of *** carcinoma cases showed a condensation and reduction in the size of a cell nucleus associated with hyperchromatosis,pyknotic nuclei,abnormal mitotic figures,anisonucleosis,irregular nuclear membrane and inequality in the size of the nuclei(Pleomorphosis).There was a statistical significant differences between adenoma and carcinoma regarding number of mitotic cells(P=0.03)that was in favour of malignant *** and colorectal carcinoma cases showed periodic acid Schiff’s reactivity with different ***:These histochemical alterations can be so characteristic of a given tumor type and stage that they are used in cancer diagnosis and might also be related to the altered functional properties of cancer cells.

Fish livers a good source of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids and omega 3, are usually discarded as a waste when fish are processed for human consumption in Sudan. Highly fresh Triaenodon obesus and Hipposcarus harid fish were purchased from Port Sudan fish central market during December 2014. Soil salinity is one of the major yield-limiting factors for crop production in many agricultural regions all over the world. Besides following efficient management practices at the field scale to reduce accumulation of salts in the effective root-zone, the effective use of treatments to alleviate the effects of salinity stress and improve crop salt tolerance is a promising solution to ensure crop production in such adverse conditions. A field experiment was carried out to investigate the effect of foliar spray with plant-based biostimulant (i.e. with and/or without 3% yeast extract), three levels of proline (0, 25, and 50 mM), and combined with potassium fertilizers, as potassium sulfate, 48% K2O (0, 50, and 100 kg/fed.) on growth promotion, chemical composition of garlic leaves, bulb quality parameters as well as yield and its components of garlic plant grown under moderate saline soil. Results revealed that the interaction between foliar spray with yeast extract at 3% and proline at 50 mM combined with proper K level at 100 kg/fed., was the best interaction treatment for increasing vegetative growth parameters, i.e. plant height, number of leaves per plant, and mineral contents (N, P, K, S, Ca and Mg in leaves), and proline content of garlic leaves after 135 days from planting time, total yield/fed., and garlic yield quality parameters at harvesting time. In conclusion, the detrimental effects of salinity stress can be alleviated by stress tolerance-inducing compounds, such as yeast extract and proline with proper application rate of K fertilization during the growing season of garlic crop.

An Easy Way for Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy Using mixed Sedative Agents

Objective: We recorded the data of patients performing Percutaneous Nephro-lithotomy (PCNL) under combined spinal anesthesia with sedative mixtures of Ketamine-Propofol (KP) or Fentanyl-Propofol (FP). Background: The PCNL is usually done under General anesthesia (GA);combining spinal anesthesia with a mixture of sedative drugs has shown to provide an optimum intra and post-operative analgesic and sedative response without side effects. Patients and methods: 100 healthy patients were enrolled for PCNL, after stabilization of the sensory block of spinal anesthesia patients were randomized into two groups;Group KP received 1 mg/Kg Ketamine and 1 mg/Kg Propofol diluted in 20 ml syringe given over 30 seconds and Group FP received 1 mic/Kg Fentanyl and 1 mg/Kg Propofol diluted in 20 ml syringe over 30 seconds;both groups will receive increment doses if the patient suffers from anxiety, pain or discomfort. Perioperative Hemodynamic data (HR, SBP, DBP, RR, and SpO2) were recorded;PACU stay time and post operative analgesia time were analyzed. Results: Sedative mixtures of FP and KP provided remarkably deep sedation levels for PCNL procedures under spinal anesthesia. Respiratory depression, hypotension and bradycardia were the major side effects reported in FP group which had mean decrease in RR of 4.63 breath/min (27.49%) with mean 3.77% drop in SpO2 levels. KP group produced significant increase in HR about 7 beats/min without reported side effects. Conclusion: Various sedation techniques may be applicable for PCNL procedures with routine premedication, mixtures of fentanyl-Propofol or Ketamine-Propofol could be used, and KP has advantages of stable hemodynamics, prolonged analgesic response intra and post-operatively with no appreciable side effects and more effective method of sedative mixture.

Introduction: Nursing is highly demanding and stressful profession. Negative consequences of job demands were widely discussed throughout the literature like;poor quality of care, poor health, burnout, greater intent to leave and lower level of job satisfaction. Job dissatisfaction among nurses also has been discussed exhaustively in the literature in regards to its negative outcomes represented by burnout, absenteeism, turnover, greater intent to leave and finally leaving nursing profession. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine literature discussing job demands in nursing profession and its associated factors among nurses, and to provide direction as to where research needs to continue to explore and develop evidence in this area. Results: Results showed that job demands are the most influential stressor in nursing profession that associated strongly with many negative consequences on the profession in general and on the nurses on particular. Conclusion: The results supported that job demand is unavoidable stressor that leads to many negative consequences and connects directly to job dissatisfaction. Therefore, there is a need to search for alleviating factors that decrease nursing stressor, its consequences and buffer the correlation between job demand and job satisfaction.

Cephalometric norms for a sample of Emirates adults

Introduction—European-American norms are still used in the orthodontic treatment of Emirates patients despite the different ethnic backgrounds of the Emirates. The purpose of this study was to formulate cephalometric norms for lateral cephalometric mea-surements of Emirates adults and to study gender differences. methods—Lateral cephalometric radio-graphs of 176 Emirates adults, 91 males and 85 fe-males, were selected according to the following crite-ria;an age range between 19 to 25 years, esthetically pleasing and harmonious faces with balanced and acceptable profiles and occlusions, normal skeletal and dental relationship, all permanent teeth present, and no history of orthodontic treatment or facial trauma. The mean values and standard deviations of 91 angular and 21 linear cephalometric variables were calculated using the Dolphin version 10.5 soft-ware package. The resulting norms for Emirates male and female groups were compared using a student t-test. Results—Several statistically significant gender differences were noticeable. Skeletally, Emirates males showed significantly greater (p m (°),and FH/mP (°) angles than females. In addition, Emirates males had significantly greater (p mm), Co-Gn (mm), and significantly greater (p mm) than females. Dentally, Emirates males had significantly greater (p mm), and L1-NB (mm) (p males. For soft tissue measurements there were significant gender differences (p measurements except for lower lip to E-plane and nose prominence measurements which have no significant gender difference. Emirates males revealed greater measurements than females except for soft tissue con-vexity, Z-angle, and both upper and lower lips pro-trusion which were significantly greater in Emirates females.

The construction and performance characteristics of new sensitive and selective in situ modified screen printed （ISPE） and carbon paste （ICPE） electrodes for determination of naphazoline hydrochloride （NPZ-HC1） have been developed. The electrodes under investigation show potentiometric response for NPZ-HC1 in the concentration range from 7.0 x 10-7 to 1.0 x 10-2 m at 25 ~C and the electrode response is independent of pH in the range of 3.1-7.9. These sensors have slope values of 59.7＋0.6 and 59.2＋0.2 mV decade-l with detection limit values of 5.6 ~ 10-7 and 5.9 x 10-7 m NPZ- HC1 using ISPE and ICPE, respectively. These electrodes show fast response time of 4-7 s and 5-8 s and exhibits lifetimes of 28 and 30 days for ISPE and ICPE, respectively. Selectivity for NPZ-HC1 with respect to a number of interfering materials was also investigated. It was found that there is no interference from the investigated inorganic cations, anions, sugars and other pharmaceutical excipients. The proposed sensors were applied for the determination of NPZ-HC1 in pharmaceutical formulation using the direct potentiometric method. It showed a mean average recovery of 100.2% and 102.6% for ISPE and ICPE, respectively. The obtained results using the proposed sensors were in good agreement with those obtained using the official method. The proposed sensors show significantly high selectivity, response time, accuracy, precision, limit of detection （LOD）and limit of quantification （LOQ） compared with other proposed methods.
