People often communicate with auto-answering tools such as conversational agents due to their 24/7 availability and unbiased ***,chatbots are normally designed for specific purposes and areas of experience and cannot answer questions outside their *** employ Natural Language Understanding(NLU)to infer their *** is a need for a chatbot that can learn from inquiries and expand its area of experience with *** chatbot must be able to build profiles representing intended topics in a similar way to the human brain for fast *** study proposes a methodology to enhance a chatbot’s brain functionality by clustering available knowledge bases on sets of related themes and building representative *** used a COVID-19 information dataset to evaluate the proposed *** pandemic has been accompanied by an“infodemic”of fake *** chatbot was evaluated by a medical doctor and a public trial of 308 real *** obtained and statistically analyzed tomeasure effectiveness,efficiency,and satisfaction as described by the ISO9214 *** proposed COVID-19 chatbot system relieves doctors from answering *** provide an example of the use of technology to handle an infodemic.

Deep Trajectory Classification Model for Congestion Detection in Human Crowds

In high-density gatherings,crowd disasters frequently occur despite all the safety *** detection of congestion in human crowds using automated analysis of video footage can prevent crowd *** work on the prevention of crowd disasters has been based on manual analysis of video *** methods also measure crowd congestion by estimating crowd ***,crowd density alone cannot provide reliable information about *** paper proposes a deep learning framework for automated crowd congestion detection that leverages pedestrian *** proposed framework divided the input video into several temporal *** then extracted dense trajectories from each temporal segment and converted these into a spatio-temporal image without losing information.A classification model based on convolutional neural networks was then trained using spatio-temporal ***,we generated a score map by encoding each point trajectory with its respective class *** this,we obtained the congested regions by employing the non-maximum suppression method on the score ***,we demonstrated the proposed framework’s effectiveness by performing a series of experiments on challenging video sequences.

Advanced Border Intrusion Detection and Surveillance Using Wireless Sensor Network Technology

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) has been emerging in the last decade as a powerful tool for connecting physical and digital world. WSN has been used in many applications such habitat monitoring, building monitoring, smart grid and pipeline monitoring. In addition, few researchers have been experimenting with WSN in many mission-critical applications such as military applications. This paper surveys the literature for experimenting work done in border surveillance and intrusion detection using the technology of WSN. The potential benefits of using WSN in border surveillance are huge;however, up to our knowledge very few attempts of solving many critical issues about this application could be found in the literature.

Performance Analysis of RFID Framed Slotted Aloha Anti-Collision Protocol

In this paper, we develop a novel mathematical model to estimate the probability distribution function of the number of tags discovered after a certain number of interrogation rounds. In addition, the pdfs of the number of rounds needed to discover all the tags are also calculated. The estimation of such pdfs will be helpful in estimating the number of interrogation rounds and the optimal parameter configuration of the RFID system which in turn will be helpful in estimating the time needed to discover all tags. Our results show that the proposed model accurately predicts the tags detection probability. We then use the proposed model to optimally configure the reader parameters (i.e. the frame size and the number of interrogation rounds).

Rapid developments of mobile technologies, data acquisition and big data analytics, and their integration with critical application domains such as transportation systems have the potential to produce more efficient, real-time, intelligent and safe transportation infrastructure. To increase the quality of transportation services, wireless sensor networks, mobile phones, crowd sourcing, RFID and Bluetooth technologies are being used. We surveyed innovations that were transformed from ideas in research labs into commercial systems in practical use. In this paper, we present some innovative mobile technologies, services and platforms that are being used in modern transportation applications including traffic data acquisition, traffic management and control, route optimizations, infrastructure redesign, road safety and enhancing user experience.
