Detection of Impending Vehicle Rollover with Road Bank Angle Consideration Using a Robust Fuzzy Observer

This article describes a method of vehicle dynamics estimation for impending rollover detection. We estimate vehicle dynamic states in presence of the road bank angle as a disturbance in the vehicle model using a robust observer. The estimated roll angle and roll rate are used to compute the rollover index which is based on the prediction of the lateral load transfer. In order to anticipate rollover detection, a new method is proposed to compute the time to rollover(TTR) using the load transfer ratio(LTR). The nonlinear model, deduced from the vehicle lateral and roll dynamics, is represented by a Takagi-Sugeno(T-S) fuzzy model. This representation is used to account for the nonlinearities of lateral cornering forces. The proposed T-S observer is designed with unmeasurable premise variables to cater for non-availability of the slip angles measurement. The proposed approach is evaluated using Car Sim simulator under different driving scenarios. Simulation results show good efficiency of the proposed T-S observer and the rollover detection method.

homogeneous and vertically aligned silicon nanowires(SiNWs)were successfully fabricated using silver assisted chemical etching *** prepared samples were characterized using scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy and atomic force *** degradation properties of graphene oxide(GO)modified SiNWs have been *** found that the SiNWs morphology depends on etching time and etchant *** SiNWs length could be tuned from 1 to 42μm,respectively when varying the etching time from 5 to 30 *** etchant concentration was found to accelerate the etching process;doubling the concentrations increases the length of the SiNWs by a factor of two for fixed etching *** in bundle morphology were also studied as function of etching *** SiNWs diameter was found to be independent of etching time or etchant composition while the size of the SiNWs bundle increases with increasing etching time and etchant *** addition of GO was found to improve significantly the photocatalytic activity of SiNWs.A strong correlation between etching parameters and photocatalysis efficiency has been observed,mainly for SiNWs prepared at optimum etching time and etchant concentrations of 10 min and 4:1:8.A degradation of92%was obtained which further improved to 96%by addition of hydrogen *** degradation efficiency of 16%and 31%has been observed for bare Si and GO/bare Si samples *** obtained results demonstrate that the developed SiNWs/GO composite exhibits excellent photocatalytic performance and could be used as potential platform for the degradation of organic pollutants.

A robust sliding mode approach combined with a field oriented control （FOC） for induction motor （IM） speed control is presented. The proposed sliding mode control （SMC） design uses an adaptive switching gain and an integrator. This approach guarantees the same robustness and dynamic performance of traditional SMC algorithms. And at the same time, it attenuates the chattering phenomenon, which is the main drawback in actual implementation of this technique. This approach is insensitive to uncertainties and permits to decrease the requirement for the bound of these uncertainties. The stability and robustness of the closed- loop system are proven analytically using the Lyapunov synthesis approach. The proposed method attenuates the effect of both uncertainties and external disturbances. Experimental results are presented to validate the effectiveness and the good performance of the developed method.

This paper presents an enhanced control strategy for Wind Energy Conversion System(WECS)using Doubly-Fed Induction Generator(DFIG).A robust Super-Twisting(STW)sliding mode control for variable speed wind turbine is developed to produce the optimal aerodynamic torque and improve the dynamic performance of the *** electromagnetic torque of the DFIG is directly tracked using the proposed control to achieve maximum power *** performance and the effectiveness of the STW control strategy are compared to conventional Sliding Mode(SM)and Proportional-Integral(PI)*** proposed STW algorithm shows interesting features in terms of chattering reduction,finite convergence time and robustness against parameters variations and system disturbances.

Mechanization is a depollution activity,because it provides an energetic and ecological response to the problem of organic waste *** burning,biogas from mechanization reduces gas pollution from fermentation by a factor of *** study aims to better understand the influence of the seasons on the emitted biogas in the landfill of the city *** composition of the biogas that naturally emanates from the landfill has been continuously analyzed by our intelligent system,from different wells drilled in recent and old waste *** the rainy season,the average production of methane,carbon dioxide,and oxygen and nitrogen are currently 56%,32%,and 1%,respectively,compared to 51%,31%,and 0.8%,respectively,for old *** levels,potential fire,and explosion risks associated with biogas are lower than those of natural gases in most *** this reason a system is proposed to measure and monitor the biogas production of the landfill site *** results carried out at various sites of the landfill in the city of Mohammedia by the system show that the biogas contents present dangers and sanitary risks which are of another order.

The coastal plain aquifer down gradient of Wad Essaquia elhamra(WEE),is the main source of groundwater in the arid region of Laayoune Essaquia el hamra located in south of *** over-exploitation of this aquifer over the last decade for water supply,agriculture and industry led to deterioration of groundwater quality,including seawater *** objective of this study is to investigate the spatial variation of groundwater quality,and to assess the influence of sea water intrusion on the groundwater quality using hydro-chemical *** measurement campaigns of physico-chemical parameters of the groundwater were performed,which shows a very high mineralization ratios versus chloride,confirming the double influence of mixing mechanisms of fresh and saline waters and the water-rock *** seawater fraction for sampled water shows that the average mixing rate of seawater intrusion reached 10.5%,confirming the marine intrusion in the *** highest values were registered in coastal *** the upstream around Laayoune and the spreading area,nitrate concentrations exceed 50 mg/L which is the threshold set by the World health Organization,revealing a high level of contamination by domestic *** combination of ionic ratios and seawater fraction is a useful tool to assess marine *** study reveals that the phenomenon of marine intrusion is not the only process that dominates hydrochemistry of ground *** high groundwater mineralization is also due to rockwater interaction associated with reverse ion exchange with clay material and anthropogenic pollutants.

The a-amino acid derivatives constitute a class of compounds of particular medicinal and synthetic attention and considerable interest has been devoted to their synthesis in recent *** the present work,we develop the computational study of the synthesis reaction of new pyrazolyl a-amino esters derivatives using the Gaussian 09based on the DET/B3LYP density functional theorv method,with the base 6-31G(d.p)to ensure the possibility of carrying out these reactions within the laboratory of ***,this research has encouraged us to establish an economical synthesis strategy of these products in overall vields of 73.5%to 87%to have access to new active biomolecule through the O-alkvlation reaction between methyl a-azidoglycinate N-benzoylated and primary pyrazole alcohols(3,5-dimethyl-1 h-pyrazol-1-yl)methanol,(1h-pyrazol-1-yl)methanol and(3-ethoxy-5-methyl-1h-pyrazol-1yl)methanoll under different operating *** structure of the prepared heterocyclic systems was characterized by conventional spectroscopic techniques,like h NMR.I3℃NMR,and *** results revealed that the experimental study is in good correlation with the computational one.

Today,due to the increasingly stringent European directives concerning the use of molecules with certain toxicities towards the environment or their users,the essential oils,extracts,and molecules derived from plants exhibiting the characteristic of being biodegradable can be considered as a source of green corrosion inhibitors instead of harmful synthetic *** present work was devoted to testing the essential oil extracted from Mentha pulegium leaves(M1) as a corrosion inhibitor for C-steel in 1mol/L hCl solution using both electrochemical techniques and gravimetric measurements for the evaluation of the inhibition efficiencies at different *** results obtained showed that the inhibition efficiency increased with an increase in Ml concentration to reach a maximum value of 92.21%.We sought to determine the molecule responsible for this high efficiency,starting with the analysis of oil chemical composition by gas chromatography coupled with mass *** analysis revealed that menthol(M2)and isomenthol(M3)were the principal *** order to identify the molecule responsible for the inhibition and explain the protection mechanism involved,quantum chemical calculations and Monte Carlo simulations were used to explain the interaction of menthol,the major constituent of M1 with the *** practically confirm these results,we studied the action of 1mol/L hCl on steel with and without the addition of M2 by both methods(gravimetric and electrochemical study).A very high efficiency was obtained,an efficiency of 94.90% at 10^-3 mol/L,which was retained for a long exposure time,and slightly decreased in function of ***,a good correlation between the experimental data,theoretical calculations,and SEM studies was obtained,which denied that the Ml efficiency was only a result of a synergy effect and confirmed the high efficiency of Mentha oil and its main component(menthol)as a strong ecological inhibitor of corrosion.
