A 56-day feeding period was performed to investigate the possible impacts of dietary nano curcumin(0,50,100,150,and 200 ppm)on the growth,nutrient utilization,non-specific immune parameters,antioxidants in Nile tilapia under chronic low temperature(21.02±0.11◦C).Fishes(n=225;Initial weight=4.39±0.08 g/fish)were randomly stocked at 15 fish/tank for five experimental groups in *** low-temperature circumstances,dietary curcumin in nano form showed no notable alteration in growth variable,nutrient efficiency,digestive enzymes efficiency,biometric indices,survival rates,and hematological ***,the serum of fishes with nano curcumin diets under low-temperature stress displayed higher total protein as well as lower glucose,cortisol,and total cholesterol compared with the control ***,fish fed nano curcumin diets displayed higher lysozyme and bactericidal activities compared to the control group and the best performance was found at dietary nano curcumin level of≥100 ***,groups fed the basal diet demonstrated the poorest antioxidant capacity,and the best superoxide dismutase(SOD)and glutathione peroxidase(GPx)existed in fish with nano curcumin diets while the best catalase(CAT)efficiency occurred at higher nano curcumin levels≥100 *** addition,higher counts of intestinal microbiota in terms of total bacterial count(TBC),total yeast and molds count(TYmC),and coliform were noticed in fish consumed the basal diet compared to groups fed on nano curcumin *** conclusion,incorporating nano curcumin at a level of≥100 mg/kg diet(particularly at 150 mg/kg)improved a non-specific immune response,antioxidant,and healthier gastrointestinal microbiota in Nile tilapia under chronic low-temperature stress.

Comparison of ERA5 turbulent fluxes at the air-sea interface with measurements from a wave-following platform

Turbulent fluxes at the air-sea interface were estimated with data collected in 2011-2020 with a low-profile platform named OCARINA during eight experiments in five regions:2011,2015,and 2016 in the Iroise Sea;2012 in the tropical Atlantic;2014 in the Chilie-Peru upwelling;2017 and 2018 in the mediterranean Sea,and 2018 and 2020 in *** observations were carried out with moderate winds(2-10 m s-1) and average wave heights of 1.5 *** this study,the authors used the fluxes calculated by the bulk method using OCARINA-sampled data as the *** data can validate the fluxes estimated from ERAS reanalysis *** OCARINA and ERA5 data were taken *** do this,the authors established an algorithm to extract the OCARINA data as closely as possible to the reanalysis data in time and *** measurements of the OCARINA platform can conclude on the relevance of the widely used reanalysis data.

Distributed generators now is widely used in electrical power networks, in some cases it works seasonally, and some types works at special weather conditions like photo voltaic systems and wind energy, and due to this continuous changes in generation condition, the fault current level in network will be affected, this changes in fault current level will affect in the coordination between protection relays and to keep the coordination at right way, an adaptive protection system is required that can adaptive its setting according to generation changes, the fault current level in each case is evaluated using ETAP software, and the required relay setting in each case is also evaluated using Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO) algorithm, and to select suitable setting which required in each condition, to select the active setting group of protection relay according to generation capacity, central protection unite can be used, and to improve protection stability and minimizing relays tripping time, a proposed method for selecting suitable backup relay is used, which leads to decrease relays tripping time and increase system stability, output settings for relays in all cases achieved our constrains.

Tracking the Ti^(4+)substitution in phlogopite by spectroscopic imaging:A tool for unravelling the growth of micas at HP-HT conditions

Phlogopite solid-solutions have a wide pressure-temperature(P-T)stability field and are ubiquitous in a wide variety of geological settings,from deep lithosphere magmatic environments to upper crust metamorphic *** composition represents therefore a valuable physical-chemical archive and may provide important information regarding its crystallization and the petrogenesis of the *** this paper we examine the phlogopite phenocrysts from the well-known Fort Regent mica-bearing lamprophyre minette from ***(Island of Jersey,UK).Phlogopite phenocrystals from lamprophyres generally show normal-step and continuous compositional zoning,however those from the Fort Regent minette show a peculiar texture characterized by dark brown high-Ti(average TiO_(2)≈8.5 wt.%)cores enveloped by euhedral low-to mid-amplitude zonation due to oscillatory contents in Ti,Fe and ***-barometry modelling based on biotite-only composition yields relatively high P-T estimates(T≈970±54℃at P≈0.73±0.13 GPa)for cores whereas lower values(T≈790±54℃at P≈0.29±0.13 GPa)are obtained for the outer *** temperatures(T≈1075±54℃)but extremely high and anomalous pressure values(P≈1.82±0.13 GPa)are obtained for the yellowish inner *** combination of electron micro probe(EmP)analysis and single-crystal infra-red(FTIR)imaging in the OH-stretching region shows that the exceptional and oscillatory Ti contents are due to the Ti-vacancy substitution,typical of crystallization and growth processes of HP/HT *** imaging provides additional insight for this process,confirming the dominant dioctahedral nature for the Ti-Fe-rich cores and outer *** of thermobaric estimates obtained from the phlogopite compositiononly model,based on the fine-scale compositional evolution,shows that pressure-temperature values from low-Ti high-mg domains should be carefully evaluated because the substitution mechanisms during the dark mica growth are not univocal

Assessment of plant diversity of endemic species of the saharo-Arabian region in Egypt

savanna, semi-deserts, and hot deserts characterize the saharo-Arabian region, which includes morocco, mauretania, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Palestine, Kuwait, saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen, southern Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and northern India. Its neighboring regions, the Sudano-Zambezian region belonging to the Paleotropical Kingdom and the mediterranean and Irano-Turanian regions included in the Holarctic Kingdom, share a large portion of their flora with the saharo-Arabian region. Despite the widespread acknowledgment of the region's global importance for plant diversity, an up to date list of the saharo-Arabian endemics is still unavailable. The available data are frequently insufficient or out of date at both the whole global and the national scales. Therefore, the present study aims at screening and verifying the saharo-Arabian endemic plants and determining the phytogeographical distribution of these taxa in the Egyptian flora. Hence, a preliminary list of 429 saharo-Arabian endemic plants in Egypt was compiled from the available literature. Indeed, by excluding the species that were recorded in any countries or regions outside the saharo-Arabian region based on different literature, database reviews, and websites, the present study has reduced this number to 126 taxa belonging to 87 genera and 37 families. Regarding the national geographic distribution, South Sinai is the richest region with 83 endemic species compared with other eight phytogeographic regions in Egypt, followed by the Isthmic Desert(the middle of Sinai Peninsula, 53 taxa). sahara regional subzone(SS1) distributes all the 126 endemic species, Arabian regional subzone(SS2) owns 79 taxa, and Nubo-Sindian subzone(SS3) distributes only 14 endemics. modelling the hydrological balance in semi-arid zones is essential for effective water resource management,encompassing both surface water and *** study aims to model the monthly hydrological water cycle in the Wadi mina upstream watershed(northwest Algeria)by applying the Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT)hydrological *** modelling integrates spatial data such as the Digital elevation model(DEm),land use,soil types and various meteorological parameters including precipitation,maximum and minimum temperatures,relative humidity,solar radiation and wind *** SWAT model was calibrated and validated using data from January 2012 to December 2014,with a calibra-tion period from January 2012 to August 2013 and a validation period from September 2013 to December *** and parameter calibration were conducted using the SWAT-sa program,and model performance evaluation relied on comparing the observed discharge at the outlet of the basin with model-simulated discharge,assessed through statistical coefficients including Nash-Sutcliffe Efficiency(NSE),coefficient of determination(R2)and Percent Bias(PBAIS).Calibration results indicated favourable objec-tive function values(NSE=0.79,R2=0.93,PBAIS=-8.53%),although a slight decrease was observed during validation(NSE=0.69,R2=0.86,and PBAIS=-11.41%).The application of the SWAT model to the Wadi mina upstream watershed highlighted its utility in simulating the spatial distribution of different components of the hydrological balance in this *** SWAT model revealed that approximately 71%of the precipitation in the basin evaporates,while only 29%contributes to surface runoff or infiltration into the soil.

Influence of anodization conditions on deposition of Hydroxyapatite on α/β Ti alloys for Osseointegration: Atomic Force microscopy Analysis

Integrating titanium-based implants with the surrounding bone tissue remains challenging. This study aims to explore the impact of different anodization voltages （20-80V） on the surface topography of two-phase （α/β） Ti alloys and to produce TiO2films with enhanced bone formation abilities. Scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive spectroscopy （SEm-edS） and atomic force microscopy （AFm） were applied to investigate the morphological， chemical， and surface topography of the prepared alloys and to confirm the growth of hydroxyapatite （HA） on their surfaces. Results disclosed that the surface roughness of TiO2films formed on Ti-6Al-7Nb alloys was superior to that of Ti–6Al–4V alloys. Ti-6Al-7Nb alloy anodized at 80 V had the highest yields of HA after immersion in SBF with enhanced HA surface coverage. The developed HA layer had a mean thickness of 128.38 ± 18.13 μm， suggesting its potential use as an orthopedic implantable material due to its promising bone integration and， hence， remarkable stability inside the human body.

This study aims to reveal the occurrence and origin of typical groundwater with high arsenic and fluoride concentrations in the loess area of the Guanzhong Basin—a Neogene faulted *** findings are as follows:(1)Groundwater samples with high arsenic and fluoride concentrations collected from the loess area and the terraces of the Weihe River accounted for 26%and 30%,respectively,of the total samples,with primary hydrochemical type identified as HCO_(3)-*** karst and sand areas exhibit relatively high groundwater quality,serving as preferred sources for water *** is recommended that local governments fully harness groundwater in these areas;(2)groundwater with high arsenic and fluoride concentrations in the loess area and the alluvial plain of rivers in Dali County is primarily distributed within the Guanzhong Basin,which represents the drainage zone of groundwater;(3)arsenic and fluoride in groundwater originate principally from natural and anthropogenic sources;(4)the human health risk assessments reveal that long-term intake of groundwater with high arsenic and fluoride concentrations pose cancer or non-cancer risks,which are more serious to kids compared to *** study provides a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of groundwater with high arsenic and fluoride concentrations in loess areas.
