The exploitation of different plant materials for the biosy.thesis of nanoparticles is considered a green technology.because it does not involve any.harmful chemicals. In this study. iron oxide nanoparticles（Fe3O4-NPs） were sy.thesized using a completely.green biosy.thetic method by.reduction of ferric chloride solution using brown seaweed water extracts. The two seaweeds Padina pavonica（Linnaeus） Thivy.and Sargassum acinarium（Linnaeus） Setchell 1933 were used in this study. The algae extract was used as a reductant of Fe Cl3 resulting in the phy.osy.thesis of Fe3O4-NPs. The phy.ogenic Fe3O4-NPs were characterized by.surface plasmon band observed close to 402 nm and 415 nm; the obtained Fe3O4-NPs are in the particle sizes ranged from 10 to 19.5 nm and 21.6 to 27.4 nm for P. pavonica and S. acinarium, respectively. The strong signals of iron were reported in their corresponding EDX spectra. FTIR analy.es revealed that sulphated poly.accharides are the main biomolecules in the algae extracts that do dual function of reducing the Fe Cl3 and stabilizing the phy.ogenic Fe3O4-NPs. The biosy.thesized Fe3O4-NPs were entrapped in calcium alginates beads and used in Pb adsorption experiments. The biosy.thesized Fe3O4-NPs alginate beads via P. pavonica（Linnaeus） Thivy.had high capacity.for bioremoval of Pb（91%） while that of S. acinarium（Linnaeus） Setchell 1933 had a capacity.of（78%） after 75 *** values of the process parameters for the maximum Pb removal efficiency.by.Fe3O4-NPs alginate beads sy.thesized via P. pavonica（Linnaeus） Thivy.were also estimated.

In this editorial,we respond to a review article by.Nabi et al,in which the authors discussed gastroesophageal reflux(GER)following peroral endoscopic my.tomy.POEM).POEM is presently.the primary.therapeutic option for achalasia,which is both safe and effective.A few adverse effects were documented after POEM,including *** diagnostic criteria were not clear enough because approximately.60%of patients have a long acid exposure time,while only.10%experience reflux *** predictors of high disease incidence have been identified,including old age,female sex,obesity.and a baseline lower esophageal sphincter pressure of less than 45 *** technical steps during the procedure,such as a lengthy.or full-thickness my.tomy.may.further enhance the *** pump inhibitors are currently.the first line of *** voices are increasingly.advocating for the routine combining of POEM with an endoscopic fundoplication method,such as peroral endoscopic fundoplication or transoral incisionless ***,more research is necessary.to determine the safety.and effectiveness of these procedures in the long term for patients who have undergone them.

Objective: The aim of the work described here was to evaluate the role of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in response evaluation for unresectable advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) treated with ty.osine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) plus anti-programmed cell death protein-1 (PD-1) antibody.therapy. Methods: A prospective cohort of consecutive patients with HCC who received combined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody.treatment for unresectable HCC between January.2022 and October 2022 was included in this study. The patients underwent unenhanced ultrasound (US) and CEUS examinations before treatment and at follow-up. Changes in the largest diameters of the target tumor on unenhanced US and the largest diameters of the enhancing target tumors on CEUS were evaluated. Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST) version 1.1 with unenhanced US and magnetic resonance imaging/computed tomography.(MRI/CT) and modified RECIST (mRECIST) with CEUS and CEMRI/CT were used to assess treatment response. Results: A total of 24 HCC patients (23 men and 1 woman; mean age: 56.5 ± 8.5 y. Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage C, 62.5%; 29 intrahepatic target tumors) were studied. Calculations of degree of necrosis in the target tumors revealed no significant differences between CEUS and CEMRI/CT (44.5 ± 36.2% vs. 45.3 ± 36.8%, p = 0.862). As for the differentiation of responders from non-responders, the agreement between RECIST version 1.1 of unenhanced US and mRECIST-CEUS was poor (κ coefficient = 0.233). Meanwhile, there was a high degree of concordance between mRECIST-CEUS and mRECIST-CEMRI/CT (κ coefficient = 0.812). Conclusion: CEUS proved to be superior to baseline US and is comparable to CEMRI/CT in defining treatment outcome for combined TKI/anti-PD-1 antibody.therapy. © 2023 World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine & Biology

Adapted European seabass(Dicentrarchus labrax L.)larvae at 25 day. post-hatching(dph)with a primary.weight and length of 23 mg and 9.92 mm,start the weaning up to 46 dph using the weaning micro-diet(54%crude protein from fish meal,powder milk,and poultry.egg)concurrently.with Artemia enriched with fortification emulsions(0.6 g/L)of DHA selco®as a control group(DHAS)or Fish oil+20%Vitamin C(FOVC),or Fish oil+20%Vitamin E(FOVE),or Fish oil+10%Vit.C+10%Vit.E(FOCE),or Fish oil only.FO).At 46 dph,groups of larvae fed enriched Artemia with DHAS and FOVE exhibited the highest final body.weight,weight gain,average daily.gain,specific growth rate,feed intake,protein efficiency.ratio,and survival%as well as the lowest feed conversion ***,larvae in FOVC display.d the lowest final body.weight,total length,weight gain,average daily.gain,specific growth rate,feed intake,protein efficiency.ratio,and survival%as well as the highest feed conversion *** histological assessment exhibited no pathological alteration as well as an improvement in the structure with DHAS,FOVE,FOVC,and FOCE co-additives compared to *** peroxidase enzy.e(GPx)recorded the highest rates(Py.FOCE and *** the lowest record for GPx activity.was noted in the FO *** conclusion,Using augmented Artemia nauplii with fish oil+vitamin E in single or in companion with vitamin C as cheap antioxidants support *** larval growth,survival,and antioxidant efficacy.during the critical weaning period.

A dy.amic analy.is of both twisting and regular towers is carried out to determine the results of considering soil-structure interaction(SSI)on high-rise *** addition,the difference between the seismic performance of using twisting towers over regular ones is *** twisting tower is a simulation of the Evolution Tower(Moscow).The towers’skeletons consist of RC elements and rest on a reinforced concrete piled-raft *** soil model is considered as multi-lay.red with the same soil properties as the zone chosen for the analy.is(New Mansoura City.Egy.t).The only.difference between both towers is their shape in *** whole sy.tem is modelled and analy.ed in a single step as one full 3D model,which is known as the direct approach in *** analy.es are carried out using finite-element software(Midas GTS NX).Dy.amic output responses due to three records of seismic loads are proposed and presented in some *** on the results,it is concluded that SSI has a considerable effect on the dy.amic response of tall buildings mainly.because of the foundation flexibility.as it leads to lengthening the vibration period,increasing the story.drift and the base shear for both cases.
