Theaim of the present work wasto analyze moisture flow and moisture content data for high-temperature drying by usingan advanced image- processing *** wood starts to shrink below the fibre saturation point during drying, the size and shape of wood will change. The dry wood image was thoroughly transformed to the shape of the wet wood image prior to calculating the dry weight moisture content. The use of the image- processing algorithm for the dry weight moisture content on density data from the CT-scanning during drying in a controlled high-temperature environment showed that this method is a powerful tool for analyzing the moisture flow inside the wood piece. Furthermore, the new CT-scanner together with the climate chamber gave unique results, as it has not been possible to study high-temperature drying with this method before.

We propose a new dual treatment strategy by venous ulcer, consisting in simultaneous modulation of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and heat shock proteins (HSPs) in the wound. One treatment method which can efficiently modulate both these substances is based on the application of dual-frequency ultrasound (LDM). This strategy was checked in a pilot study on 10 patients with chronic venous ulcers and demonstrated excellent healing rate.

Traditionally,urbanization has been seen as a negative phenomenon for ***,changes in the environmental parameters induced by urbanization might be favorable for some *** the past half-century,the common hamster has actively populated cities,establishing populations in some European,Russian and Kazakhstan *** on integrative methods,we investigated free-range common hamsters inhabiting Simferopol from 2015 to 2018 to reveal possible adaptations to the urbanized environment across several parameters,including lifespan,hibernation period,reproductive activity and body *** show that in urban areas,the common hamster demonstrates an extremely short hibernation period compared to other localities,possibly due to enhanced food resources from urban forestry(walnuts,locus and hazelnut),allowing the species to start breeding very early(February)and finish as late as *** present the first evidence of polyandry for this species:mating of receptive females with several males and subsequent confirmation of multiple *** high reproductive potential,the lifespan of the common hamster in urban conditions is generally very short(less than 1 year).We speculate that in the process of synurbization,the common hamster’s innate plasticity across many life history traits permits it to successfully colonize throughout a wide range of habitats,with the ability to form novel adaptations to urban environments.

For series manufacture of pressure sensors, stage of technological tests is performed, related to a definition of the manufacturing accuracy of the sensors. Technological test plan of pressure sensors involves testing the sensors on certain fixed temperature and pressure points available in the table. According to a test results, we determine transformation function mathematical model coefficients of sensors and accordance by the claimed accuracy class, of the manufactured sensors. The cost of pressure sensors mostly depends on the cost of this step and determined by the complexity of the used transformation function model. The analysis of a contemporary works associated with the choice of transformation functions for smart pressure sensors. A new proposed indicator of model complexity of a sensor transformation function. In details shown features of the complexity indicator use and given an example. In the article was set and resolved the task to reduce the cost of the tests for commercially available sensors, by reducing the number of temperature points, without compromising the accuracy of the sensor measurement ability.

In solar cells,hybrid halide perovskites operate under constant bias,thus their stability towards electric field-induced degradation is of key *** we report on evidence of previously unidentified electric field-induced transitions and degradation path of CH_(3)NH_(3)PbI_(3)(MAPbI_(3))using elemental and phase *** films of MAPbI_(3) were deposited onto 1-2μm-pitch interdigitated electrodes and subjected to direct current(DC)-*** MAPbI_(3) layer polarized with<0.8 V/μm DC electric field undergoes pronounced ion redistribution to methylammonium-rich MAPbI_(3)-y(y<0.6)and iodine-rich MA1-xPbI3(x<0.3)***-induced loss of both methylammonium and iodine provokes degradation of MAPbI_(3).Using nanofocus grazing-incidence wide-angle X-ray scattering(GIWAXS),we unambiguously showed that the bias voltage induces the transformation ofβ-MAPbI_(3) to metastableδ-MAPbI_(3) polymorph via alignment of polar organic cation with the electric *** transformation is partially reversible upon field ***,once formed,δ-MAPbI_(3) disrupts the morphology of pristine film and undergoes decomposition toβ-MAPbI_(3)(β-MAPI)and PbI_(2).With the aforementioned compositional and phase changes,only MA-rich part serves as the charge separation layer,while the I-rich excitation is blocked with the PbI_(2) barrier serving as holes trapping *** observations reveal the intermediate steps in electric-field-driven degradation of halide perovskites and show the role of polar cations in the process,which is instructive for further material design with higher stability metrics.

Is There an Impact of Stock Exchange Consolidation on Volatility of Market Returns？

The aim of the paper is to provide some evidences on relationships among the degree of financial integration, stock exchange markets, and volatility of national market returns. In this paper, the authors employ correlation and cluster analyses in order to investigate the impact of stock exchange consolidation on volatility of market returns, in terms of a financial integration between involved stock exchanges before and after the merger. By using the Generalized Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity （GARCH）（1.1） model, the authors test the change in volatilities of national stock exchange markets involved in the following stock exchange integration case studies： Euronext, Bolsasy Mercados Espanoles （BME）, and Swedish-Finnish financial services company （OMX）. These three case studies are considered as completed cases of market consolidation, where the data are available enough to conduct the current research. By using daily data of national returns of engaged European stock markets from 1995 to 2007, the paper investigates the influence of stock exchange consolidation on volatility of national stock market returns. The obtained results confirm the gradual decrease of volatility in each of the integrated stock markets. However, the level of decrease in terms of volatility depends on economic characteristics of each engaged market and its degree of integration with other financial services. The results of correlation and cluster analyses confirm that stock operators have created significantly non-official integration links through cross-memberships and cross-listings even before the consolidations. Thus, the mergers among stock exchanges can be considered as the rational consequences of the high internal co-movements between involved markets. Furthermore, stock exchange markets with strong non-official integration links show an immediate decrease of volatility after the merger, meanwhile for others, it takes several years before the volatility can decrease as

The goal of the research is to develop a methodology to minimize the public’s exposure to harmful emissions from coal power plants while maintaining minimal operational costs related to electric distribution losses and coal logistics. The objective is achieved by combining EPA Screen3, ISC3 and Japanese METI-LIS model equations with minimum spanning tree (MST) algorithm. Prim’s MST algorithm is used to simulate an electric distribution system and coal transportation pathways. The model can detect emission interaction with another source and estimate the ground level concentrations of emissions up to distances of 25 kilometers. During a grid search, the algorithm helps determine a candidate location, for a new coal power plant, that would minimize the operational cost while ensuring emission exposure is below the EPA/NIOSH thresholds. The proposed methodology has been coded in form of a location analysis simulation. An exhaustive search strategy delivers a final candidate location for a new coal power plant to ensure minimum operational costs as compared to the random or greedy search strategy. The simulation provides a tool to industrial zone planners, environmental engineers, and stakeholders in coal-based power generation. Using operational and emissions perspectives, the tool helps ascertain a list of compromise locations for a new coal power plant facility.

T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(T-ALL)is one of the most dangerous hematological malignancies,with high tumor heterogeneity and poor *** than 60%of T-ALL patients carry NOTCH1 gene mutations,leading to abnormal expression of downstream target genes and aberrant activation of various signaling *** found that chidamide,an HDAC inhibitor,exerts an antitumor effect on T-ALL cell lines and primary cells including an anti-NOTCH1 *** particular,chidamide inhibits the NOTCH1-MYC signaling axis by down-regulating the level of the intracellular form of NOTCH1(NICD1)as well as MYC,partly through their ubiquitination and degradation by the proteasome *** also report here the preliminary results of our clinical trial supporting that a treatment by chidamide reduces minimal residual disease(MRD)in patients and is well *** results highlight the effectiveness and safety of chidamide in the treatment of T-ALL patients,including those with NOTCH1 mutations and open the way to a new therapeutic strategy for these patients.
