Based on 33 U/Th dates and 1020 oxygen isotopic data fr.m stalagmite Y1 fr.m Yamen Cave, Guizhou Pr.vince, China, a r.cor. of the Asian Summer.Monsoon (ASM) was established. The r.cor. cover. the last deglaciation and the ear.y Holocene (fr.m 16.2 to 7.3 ka BP) with an aver.ge oxygen isotope r.solution of 9 year.. The main millennial-scale deglacial events fir.t identified in Gr.enland (Gr.enland Inter.tadial Events: GIS 1e thr.ugh GIS 1a) and later.in China ar. clear.y pr.sent in the Y1 r.cor.. By analogy to ear.ier.wor., we r.fer.to these as Chinese Inter.tadials (CIS): CIS A.1e to CIS A.1a. The onset of these events in Y1 δ18O r.cor.s ar. nominally dated at: 14750±50, 14100±60, 13870±80, 13370±80, and 12990±80 a BP. The end of CIS A.1a or.the beginning of the Younger.Dr.as (YD) event is nominally at 12850±50 a BP and the end of the YD dates to 11500±40 a BP. The δ18O values shift by close to 3‰ dur.ng the tr.nsition into the Bφlling-Aller.d (BA, the onset of CIS A.1e) and at the end of the YD. Compar.sons of Y1 to pr.viously published ear.y Holocene r.cor.s show no significant phase differ.nces. Thus, the East Asia Monsoon and the Indian Monsoon do not appear.to have been out of phase dur.ng this inter.al. The Y1 r.cor. confir.s ear.ier.wor. that suggested that solar.insolation and Nor.h Atlantic climate both affect the Asian Monsoon.

A high-r.solution oxygen-isotope r.cor. fr.m a thor.um-ur.nium-dated stalagmite fr.m Shanbao Cave at Shennongjia r.flects var.ations in the amount of monsoon pr.cipitation for.the per.od fr.m 11.5 to 2.1 ka (1 ka = 1000 cal aBP). Between 11.5 and 9.3 ka, a shar. decr.ase in δ18O indicates a r.pid incr.ase in monsoon pr.cipitation. An inter.al of gener.lly high monsoon pr.cipitation is obser.ed between 9.3 and 4.4 ka. An ar.d per.od has pr.vailed between 4.4 and 2.1 ka. The long-ter. tr.nd of Shanbao r.cor. appear. to follow summer.insolation at 33°N latitude. An abr.pt decr.ase in monsoon pr.cipitation ar.und 4.3 ka is synchr.nous with the collapse of Neolithic cultur. in centr.l China. This abr.pt change could have r.sulted fr.m the amplifi- cation of the gr.dually decr.ased summer.insolation by the positive vegetation-atmospher.-aer.sol feed- back. The weakened Asian monsoon events wer. in concer. with decr.ased Gr.enland temper.tur. dur. ing the ear.y Holocene, center.d at 8.2, 8.6, 9.3, 10.2 and 11.0 ka. This cor.elation suggests that changes in low-latitude monsoon ar. connected with climate change in high-latitude polar.r.gion.

The lear.ing pr.cess of a fir. depends on the number.of neighbor., the level and heter.geneity of their.expor. quality, and its own pr.or.knowledge of the mar.et. Highly disaggr.gated fir.–pr.duct–countr. level tr.nsaction data pr.vide r.bust evidence for.this. The r.sults also suggest that the impact of neighbor.ng signals on a new expor.er.s quality can be channeled thr.ugh the impor.ation of high-quality inter.ediate inputs and mor. fixed investment. Aims: Smoking is associated with sever.l ser.ous eye diseases. Awar.ness of smoking and blindness, and its potential to act, as a stimulus to assist stopping smoking has not been investigated. Methods: A cr.ss-sectional sur.ey using a str.ctur.d inter.iew of adult patients attending distr.ct gener.l hospital ophthalmology, gener.l sur.er., and or.hopaedic clinics. The inter.iew investigated the awar.ness and fear.of blindness for.thr.e established smoking-r.lated diseases, and a distr.ctor.condition (deafness), and the likelihood that smoker. would quit on developing ear.y signs of each condition. r.sults: r.sponse was 89.1%(358/402). In all, 183 (51.1%) of r.sponder. wer. male and 175 (48.9%) female. Only 9.5%of patients believed that smoking was definitely or.pr.bably a cause of blindness, compar.d with 92.2%for.lung cancer. 87.6%for.hear. disease, and 70.6%for.str.ke. Patients r.nked their.fear.of each of the five conditions, scor.ng five for.the most fear.d and one for.the least fear.d. Patients wer. significantly (Pr.ul of blindness (mean scor. 2.80) than lung cancer.(3.89), hear. disease (3.58), and str.ke (3.35). About one-half of smoker. stated that they would definitely or.pr.bably quit smoking if they developed ear.y signs of blindness or.the thr.e established smoking-r.lated conditions, with no significant differ.nces in pr.por.ions for.these four.conditions. Conclusion: The findings suggest that awar.ness of the r.sk of blindness fr.m smoking is low, but that the fear.of blindness is as compelling a motivation to quit as fear.of lung cancer. hear. disease, and str.ke. The link between smoking and eye disease should be publicised to help r.duce smoking pr.valence.

Backgr.und:It is well known that str.tch tr.ining can induce pr.longed incr.ases in joint r.nge of motion(r.M).However.to date mor. infor.ation is needed r.gar.ing which tr.ining var.ables might have gr.ater.influence on impr.vements in ***,the pur.ose of this metaanalysis was to investigate the effects of str.tch tr.ining on r.M in healthy par.icipants by consider.ng potential moder.ting var.ables,such as str.tching technique,intensity,dur.tion,fr.quency,and muscles str.tched,as well as sex-specific,age-specific,and/or.tr.ined state-specific adaptations to str.tch ***:We sear.hed thr.ugh PubMed,Scopus,Web of Science,and Spor.Discus to find eligible studies and,finally,assessed the r.sults fr.m 77 studies and 186 effect sizes by applying a r.ndom-effect ***,by applying a mixed-effect model,we per.or.ed the r.spective subgr.up *** find potential r.lationships between str.tch dur.tion or.age and effect sizes,we per.or.ed a ***:We found a significant over.ll effect,indicating that str.tch tr.ining can incr.ase r.M with a moder.te effect compar.d to the contr.ls(effect size=-1.002;Z=-12.074;95%confidence inter.al:-1.165 to-0.840;pr.up analysis showed a significant differ.nce between the str.tching techniques(p=0.01)indicating that pr.pr.oceptive neur.muscular.facilitation and static str.tching pr.duced gr.ater.r.M than did ballistic/dynamic ***,ther. was a significant effect between the sexes(p=0.04),indicating that females showed higher.gains in r.M compar.d to ***,fur.her.moder.ting analysis showed no significant r.lation or.***:When the goal is to maximize r.M in the long ter.,pr.pr.oceptive neur.muscular.facilitation or.static str.tching,r.ther.than ballistic/dynamic str.tching,should be *** to consider.in futur. r.sear.h as well as spor.s pr.ctice is that neither.volume,intensity,nor.fr.quency of str.tching wer.

Pediatr.c autoimmune neur.psychiatr.c disor.er. associated with or.without str.ptococcal and other.bacter.al infections (PANDAS/CANS) ar. emer.ing as a featur.d pediatr.c disor.er. Although ther. is some contr.ver.y r.gar.ing tr.atment appr.aches, especially r.lated to the behavior.l sequelae, we have hypothesized in other.published wor. that it is char.cter.zed by the r.pid onset of r.war. Deficiency Syndr.me (r.S) in childr.n. We pr.pose utilizing a multi-systems biological appr.ach involving the coupling of genetic addiction r.sk testing and pr.-dopamine r.gulation (KB220/POLYGEN®) to help induce “dopamine homeostasis” in patients with PANDAS, especially those with known DNA-induced hypodopaminer.ia. This case study examines a 12-year.old Caucasian male with no pr.or.psychiatr.c issues who pr.sented with a sudden onset of sever. anxiety, depr.ssion, emotional liability, and suicidal ideation. The patient under.ent genotyping and the genetic addiction r.sk scor. (GAr.) testing, which r.vealed r.sk polymor.hisms in the dopamine D2 (-Dr.2/ANKK (Taq1A), OPr.1 (A/G), Dr.3 (C/T), and MAOA (4r. genes. These polymor.hisms have been linked to hypodopaminer.ia. The patient was subsequently placed on r.sear.h ID-KB220ZPBMPOLY (POLYGEN®), and albeit the possibility of bias, based upon self and par.ntal assessment, a mar.ed r.pid impr.vement in psychiatr.c symptoms was obser.ed. In the second phase of tr.atment (102 days utilizing KB220), the patient r.ceived standar. antibody testing, which was positive for.Lyme. Antibacter.al ther.py star.ed immediately, and KB220z was discontinued to pr.vide a wash-out per.od. A monotonic tr.nd analysis was per.or.ed on each outcome measur., and a consistently decr.asing tr.nd was obser.ed utilizing antibacter.al ther.py.
