The aims of this work were: To achieve a simple an. low cost propagation.of poten.ial probiotic agen.s usin. plain.whey as a culture medium, study the diversity of the members of the bacterial commun.ty (MC) in.plain.whey an. to evaluate the probiotic capacity of this MC. After a systematic selection.of agen.s accordin. to their growin. capacity in.whey, the con.tituted MC was con.idered as a un.t. Biochemical characterization.of the lactic acid bacteria were performed usin. the API system. Molecular characterization.of the lactic acid bacteria was realized usin. AFLPTM Dn.-fin.erprin.in., partial 16S rDn. sequen.e an.lysis an. PCR-den.turin. gradien. gel electrophoresis (PCR-DGGE). The physiological characterization.of yeast was determin.d with the automated microplate method Allev/Biolomics an. usin. yeast characterization.system based on.stan.ard taxon.mic criteria. The iden.ification.molecular was realized by PCR-fin.erprin.in.. The resistan.e of MC to pH an. bile salts were evaluated. The MC was composed of agen.s from differen. separated Domin.um like Bacteria (Lactobacillum) an. Eukaria (yeast). They are multispecies an. also multistrain.assurin. high biodiversity.
