Effect of Nd3+doping on structure,microstructure,lattice distortion and electronic properties of TiO_2 nanoparticles

Doped and undoped TiCh nanoparticles were prepared by Stober method and thermally treated at 600 ℃.The effect of Nd^（3＋） ion on the structure and micro structure of anatase-phase TiCh nanocrystals was studied by Rietveld refinement method using X-ray powder diffraction *** lengths,bond angles,and edges distances were *** phase formation was confirmed by high-resolution transmission electron *** adjustment of Ti-0 bond length induced by the addition of Nd^（3＋） ions,reduced the octahedral distortion and altered the octahedral array in the anatase-phase TiCh *** changes of structure and microstructure were mainly observed for TiCh nanoparticles doped with 0.1 at.%of Nd^（3＋） ions and attributed to the cationic substitution of Ti^（4＋） ions which promoted changes in the density of states and gap band of *** dopant insertion resulted in a better structural stability of the nanocrystals that enhanced their charge transference and photocatalytic efficiency.

Study of the Opuntia ficus indica and Its Radioactive Potassium Content using the Gamma Spectrometry

Mexico is one of the largest producers of nopal （Opuntiaficus indica）. This ＂vegetable＂ is consumed on a daily basis by the Mexican population, being a source of food nutrients. Among its benefits, it is considered the content of potassium, which is essential for human life and health. In this study, it analyzes the content of potassium of the Mexican cactus （Opuntiaficus indica） grown in 5 different regions in the Mexican basin, where 67% of the nopal is produced for human consumption. The used methodology is gamma spectrometry with Hyperpure Germanium detector （HPGe） and Multichannel Analyzer （MCA） with Maestro~ software. The results show interesting aspects on the concentration of potassium in the nopal. This concentration will primarily depend on：（a） the geological characteristics of the location where the nopal was grows; （b） that potassium concentrations may vary substantially from a region to another, with the same species of nopal as a reference and （c） that this concentration may also vary from one growing season to another.

Ectophylla alba is a tent-making bat that roosts in mixed-sex clusters comprising adults and *** goal was to determine the genetic identity of individuals belonging to different roosting *** tested the hypothesis of kin selection as a major force structuring group *** used 9 microsatellites designed for *** to determine the genetic identity and probability of parentage of *** analyzed parentage and kinship using the software ML-Relate,GenAIEx,and *** obtained relationship probabilities(0.5)revealed a clear maternal relationship between female adults and offspring with allele compatibility,and at least 5 relationships between male adults and *** found a low degree of relatedness within roosting *** roosting groups at different sites,the mean probability of a half-sibling relationship ranged from 0.214 to 0.244 and,for full-sibling relationship,from 0.383 to ***,adult individuals were poorly related within clusters,and kinship as an evolutionary force could not explain group membership.

This work deals with the study of a plane periodic multilayer structure in which the elementary stack consists of two plates in contact: one in aluminum (AL) and the other one in polyethylene (PE). These isotropic materials, present a high acoustic impedance contrast. The attenuation of the longitudinal and transverse waves is taken into account in the polyethylene but neglected in the aluminum plate. The effect of different defects is analyzed. Firstly, we focus on the effect of the presence of grease inclusion in the polyethylene plate (considering the two plates of the elementary stack in perfect contact). Secondly, the effect of disbond simulated by the insertion of a thin Teflon layer between the interfaces of the two layers constituting the elementary stack of the multilayer structure is investigated. Finally, the effect of the stacking sequences of the multilayer is analyzed. In order to obtain the effective acoustic parameters of polyethylene layer, allowing to evaluate the reflection and transmission coefficients using the stiffness matrix method developed by Rokhlin et al., four homogenization models are analyzed, then the best one to our configuration is chosen. The comparison of the simulation results is carried out.

Recent studies on the preparation of porous nano-materials revealed that the use of kaurane diterpenoids molecules from steviol as biological template favors the obtaining of metallic oxides with tubular morphology as nanorods or nanofibers. In this sense, the present contribution shows an analysis in order to understand how these glycosides of kaurane diterpenoids control the nucleation and growth of inorganic materials favoring the obtaining of these morphologies. For this purpose, it was necessary to carry out studies of the leaf aqueous extract of Stevia rebaudiana by HRTEM, FTIR and 1H-NMR.

PCV2 （Porcine circovirus type 2） is considered as the essential infectious agent of PMWS （post weaning multisystemic wasting syndrome） in pigs. Serological studies have shown that the virus is ubiquitous. Currently, there are many reports about the epidemiology and genetic characteristics of this virus around the world, but in Mexico it has not been studied. More than 3,500 samples of serum, rectal swabs, tissues and semen of 34 Mexican porcine farms from 10 important producer regions were analyzed by PCR. Results show that 97% of the farms were positive. both genotypes, PCV2a and PCV2b were detected. It also found that the most prevalent genotype in Mexico is PCV2b. Regarding to amino acid sequence; three major heterogenic regions were present in the positions 59-91,123-136 and 185-210.

Rational:Cardiac conduction disease is multifactorial complex *** factors play critical roles in formation of cardiac conductive tissue during fetal heart *** has been recognized that environmental factors also alter during fetal development increase the risk of cardiac conduction *** are few genes shown can be altered and effect on heart structure formation during the ***,the gene expression in conductive tissue in human fetal heart and the underlying molecular mechanisms remain poorly *** this study,we identify genes expressed preferentially within the atrial ventricular conductive junctional tissue(AVJ) in human fetal hearts as compared to the apical myocardium(Apx). Methods:Total RNA from six fetal hearts was extracted using Qiagen RNA kit and applied onto Affymetrix human Genome U133 plus 2(micro)*** results were analyzed by Affymetrix console and Partek? Genomics SuiteTM. Results:We found that 1532 genes significantly(pbetween fetal cardiac atrial ventricular junction and ***1D,CACNA1G and HTR4 expressed preferentially in human atrial ventricular conductive tissue.A subset of the data was confirmed by Real-Time PCR and immunostaining.245 genes highly expressed in human atrial ventricular conductive junctional tissue were matched to the gene expression in mouse atrial ventricular nodal cells and 103 genes were matched to E10.5 mouse the atrial ventricular node(pbe important targets in the pathophysiology of cardiac conduction diseases in heart development.
