Grids of stellar evolution omy/astrophysics, such as planet hosting are required in many fields of astron- stars, binaries, clusters, chemically peculiar stars, etc. In this study, a grid of stellar evolution models with updated ingredients and recently determined solar abundances is presented. The solar values for the initial abundances of hydrogen, heavy elements and mixing-length parameter are 0.0172, 0.7024 and 1.98, respectively. The mass step is small enough （0.01 M） that interpolation for a given star mass is not required. The range of stellar mass is 0.74 to 10.00M. We present results in different forms of tables for easy and general appli- cation. The second stellar harmonic, required for analysis of apsidal motion of eclips- ing binaries, is also listed. We also construct rotating models to determine the effect of rotation on stellar structure and derive fitting formulae for luminosity, radius and the second harmonic as a function of rotational parameter. We also compute and list colors and bolometric corrections of models required for transformation between theo- retical and observational results. The results are tested for the Sun, the Hyades cluster, the slowly rotating chemically peculiar Am stars and eclipsing binaries with apsidal motion. The theoretical and observational results along isochrones are in good agree- ment. The grids are also applicable to rotating stars provided that equatorial velocity is given.

The aim of this work was to investigate the microstructure and mechanical properties of 1vol%-Ni-added yttria-stabilized zirconia (ySz) toughened alumina composites. First, Ni powders were heterogeneously precipitated in an alumina–zirconia powder mixture suspended in water;the prepared specimens were then pressureless sintered at 1550°C/2 h in a 90vol%Ar/10vol% H2 atmosphere. The structure of phases and microstructure of the composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy, respectively. Mechanical characterization of the specimens was carried out through Vickers hardness, Vickers indentation toughness, and three-point flexural bending tests. The fine Ni particles were homogeneously dispersed throughout the alumina matrix because of the employed processing method. Furthermore, hardness and toughness values were found to increase by 8% and 50%, respectively, with Ni addition, whereas the relative densities and flexural strength values were found to remain unchanged.

In this article,we approximate the solution of high order linear Fredholm integro-differential equations with a variable coefficient under the initial-boundary conditions by Bell *** collocation points and treating the solution as a linear combination of Bell polynomials,the problem is reduced to linear system of equations whose unknown variables are Bell *** solution to this algebraic system determines the approximate *** estimation of approximate solution is *** examples are provided to illustrate the performance of the *** numerical results are compared with the collocation method based on Legendre polynomials and the other two methods based on Taylor *** is observed that the method is better than Legendre collocation method and as accurate as the methods involving Taylor polynomials.

Violence toward emergency physicians: A prospective-descriptive study

BACKGROUND: The highest rate of workplace violence occurs in the health sector, although most cases remain unreported. Emergency services face the majority of these incidents for many reasons, such as the patient profile, long waiting time, and overcrowding. We aimed to determine the characteristics and causes of violence toward emergency physicians. METHODS: The acts of violence toward emergency physicians over a one-year period were prospectively recorded. After a violent incident took place, a third party separately interviewed the physician exposed to the violent behavior and the perpetrator who displayed this behavior. We examined the perpetrator's reasons for violence, their demographic characteristics, and the medical complaints of patients involved in such events to determine the characteristics and causes of ***: Of the violent acts investigated, 85.1% were verbal, and most were directed toward male doctors by the young male relatives of the patients. More than half of the violent acts occurred within the 15 minutes of presentation to emergency service(60.5%) and at off-hours(69.4%). Concerning the health insurance, 20.4% of the cases were covered by the free green card system, and a small number of the perpetrators of violence lived in rural areas(38.2%). The most common reason for violent behavior was the patients' or their relatives' dissatisfaction with the examination or treatment method(38.2%).CONCLUSIONS: Appropriate communication should be established with the patients, and they should be adequately informed about the treatments and interventions to be performed in order to prevent possible acts of violence.

Characterization of Nanocrystalline Intermetallic Compound NiAl Synthesized by Condensation

Nanocrystalline intermetallic compound NiAl was synthesized by evaporating NiAl master alloy in inert-gas followed by in situ compaction, and its structure was studied by means of X-ray diffractometry and transmission electron microscope. Experimental results reveal that the as-synthesized nanocrystalline sample has a mean grain size of less than 10 nm and it is dominantly composed of the cubic structure phase NiAl. However, nanocrystalline Ni3Al as a trace phase mixed in NiAl phase, was also detected by transmission electron microscope observation.
