AIM:To determine the agreement of ocular biometric indices including axial length,keratometric readings,anterior chamber depth,and horizontal corneal diameter between the Pentacam AXL and IOL Master ***:The study was a large cross-sectional population-based study(Tehran Geriatric Eye Study)conducted from Jan 2019 to Jan 2020.A total of 160 clusters were randomly selected proportional to size(each cluster contained 20 individuals)from 22 strata of Tehran *** people aged 60y and above were invited to participate in the *** all participants,preliminary ocular examinations were performed including the measurement of uncorrected and best-corrected visual acuity,objective and subjective refraction,anterior and posterior segment *** participants underwent an ocular biometry using the Pentacam AXL and IOL Master ***:The 95%limits of agreement(LoA)between the two devices were-0.13 to 0.19,-0.15 to 0.17,and-0.13 to 0.19 in normal,pseudophakic,and cataractous eyes,*** increasing the axial length,the difference between the two devices significantly increased in all three groups of normal,pseudophakic,and cataractous eyes(P<0.001).The 95% LoAs between the two devices regarding the mean keratometry shows that the best LoAs were seen in cataractous(-0.33 to 0.81)and followed by normal eyes(-0.36 to 0.86)and the pseudophakic eyes(-0.48 to 0.90)had the widest *** 95% LoAs for horizontal corneal diameter measurements were-0.08 to 0.86,-0.03 to 0.83,and-0.07 to 0.87 in normal,pseudophakic,and cataractous eyes,*** 95% LoAs of anterior chamber depth measurements between the two devices was-0.39 to 0.19 and-0.37 to 0.13 in normal eyes and cataractous,***:The Pentacam AXL has excellent agreement with the gold standard,IOL Master 500 in measuring axial *** eyes with cataracts,the difference between the two devices is more *** the increasing of axial length,the difference between the

The objective of this study was to coat negatively charged polymer brushes by a covalent bond onto the surface of polyvinylchloride using a simple conventional surface free radical polymerisation *** coated surfaces were assessed with contact angle,protein adsorption,cell adhesion,and bacterial *** serum albumin and bovine fibrinogen were used for protein adsorption *** fibroblast(NIH-3T3)cells and Pseudomonas aeruginosa were used to assess surface *** show that the surface modified with all the attached polymers exhibited significantly reduced contact angle,protein adsorption,and cell as well as bacterial adhesion among which the negatively charged polymers showed extremely low values in all the *** negatively charged polymer shows its contact angle at 5°as compared to 70°for original *** bovine serum albumin,bovine fibrinogen,3T3 adhesion,and *** adhesion were 93%,84%,92%,and 92%lower than the original PVC,***,the polyvinylchloride surface coated with negatively charged polymer brushes exhibited a hydrogel-like *** results indicate that coating a polyvinylchloride surface with acrylic acids using a simple surface-initiated free radical polymerisation and then converting those to negatively charged salts can be an effective and efficient route for fouling-resistant applications.

Temporal lobe epilepsy(TLE)is difficult to treat as it is often refractory to *** from traditional medical treatment,surgical resection is also a choice of treatment,but it may be associated with significant cognitive *** a result,treatment strategies using targeted and adjustable stimulation of malfunctioning brain circuits have been *** neuromodulatory therapies using approaches of electric and magnetic neuromodulation are already in clinical use for refractory epilepsy while others such as optogenetics,chemo-genetics and ultrasound modulation are being tested in pre-clinical TLE animal *** this review,we conducted an in-depth literature search on the clinically available neuromodulatory approaches for TLE,focusing on the possible mechanism of action and the clinical outcomes including adverse *** that are currently explored in preclinical animal models but may have therapeutic applications in future are also *** efficacy and subsequent adverse effects vary among the different neuromodulatory approaches and some still have unclear mechanisms of action in TLE *** studies evaluating the benefits and potential limitations are *** research on the therapeutic mechanisms and the epileptic brain network is critical for improving therapies for TLE.

This study proposed a new royal crown-shaped polarisation insensitive double negative triple band microwave range electromagnetic metamaterial absorber(MA).The primary purpose of this study is to utilise the exotic characteristics of this perfect metamaterial absorber(PMA)for microwave wireless *** fundamental unit cell of the proposed MA consists of two pentagonal-shaped resonators and two inverse C-shaped metallic components surrounded by a split ring resonator(SRR).The bottom thin copper deposit and upper metallic resonator surface are disjoined by an FR-4 dielectric substrate with 1.6 mm *** CST MW studio,a high-frequency electromagnetic simulator has been deployed for numerical simula-tion of the unit cell in the frequency range of 4 to 14 *** the TE mode,the offered MA structure demonstrated three different absorption peaks at 6.85 GHz(C-band),8.87 GHz(X-band),and 12.03 GHz(Ku-band),with 96.82%,99.24%,and 99.43%absorptivity,*** electric field,magnetic field,and surface current distribution were analysed using Maxwell’s-Curl equations,whereas the angle sensitivity was investigated to comprehend the absorption mechanism of the proposed *** numerical results were verified using the Ansys HFSS(high-frequency structure simulator)and ADS(advanced design system)for equivalent circuit ***,the proposed MA is polarisation and incident angle ***,the application of this MA can be extended to a great extent,including airborne radar applications,defence,and stealth-coating technology.

AIM:To determine the corneal sensitivity recovery period after laser-assisted sub-epithelial keratectomy(LASEK)refractive surgery and investigate the effects of ablation depth on ***:In this study examinations were performed on 90 right eyes of 90 people(34 males and 56 females)with an age range of 20-35 and an average of 22.26±3.8 years old.A sensation of 5 corneal regions,including the center and 4 mid-peripheral regions,i.e.,nasal,inferior,temporal,and superior,each at a distance of 2 mm from the center of the cornea were measured with a Cochet-Bonnet esthesiometer device in 3-time points including before LASEK,1 and 3mo after the surgery,*** was performed on individuals with stabilized myopia of -1.00 to -7.00 diopters and astigmatism of less than 2.00 ***,the individuals were divided into three groups regarding ablation ***:The highest level of corneal sensitivity before surgery was related to the center of the cornea(59.1±7.76),and the highest level of corneal sensitivity loss was also related to this *** sensation of all measured corneal regions significantly reduced 1mo postoperatively and returned to their preoperative levels 3mo after surgery(mean of 5 corneal regions in levels of preoperation:58.2±6.48,1mo postoperation:57.3±5.84,3mo postoperation:58.2±5.49;P<0.05).A significant relationship was found between ablation depth and corneal sensitivity changes in the center and temporal regions(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:Corneal sensitivity in myopia and low astigmatism decreases after LASEK and reaches the preoperative level within *** depth of ablation during surgery affected the recovery of corneal sensitivity.

A third-order ordinary differential equation （ODE） for thin film flow with both Neumann and Dirichlet bound- ary conditions is transformed into a second-order nonlinear ODE with Dirichlet boundary conditions. Numerical solu- tions of the nonlinear second-order ODE are investigated us- ing finite difference schemes. A finite difference formulation to an Emden-Fowler representation of the second-order non- linear ODE is shown to converge faster than a finite differ- ence formulation of the standard form of the second-order nonlinear ODE. Both finite difference schemes satisfy the von Neumann stability criteria. When mapping the numeri- cal solution of the second-order ODE back to the variables of the original third-order ODE we recover the position of the contact line. A nonlinear relationship between the position of the contact line and physical parameters is obtained.

Forecasting the COVID‐19 confirmed cases,deaths,and recoveries demands time to know the severity of the novel *** research aims to predict all types of COVID‐19 cases(verified people,deaths,and recoveries)from the deadliest 3rd wave data of the COVID‐19 pandemic in *** used the official website of the Directorate General of Health Services as our data *** identify and predict the upcoming trends of the COVID‐19 situation of Bangladesh,we fit the Auto‐Regressive Integrated Moving Average(ARIMA)model on the data from Mar.01,2021 to Jul.31,*** finding of the ARIMA model(forecast model)reveals that infected,deaths,and recoveries number will have experienced exponential growth in Bangladesh to October *** model reports that confirmed cases and deaths will escalate by four times,and the recoveries will improve by five times at a later point in October 2021 if the trend of the three scenarios of COVID‐19 from March to July *** prediction of the COVID‐19 scenario for the next three months is very frightening in Bangladesh,so the strategic planner and field‐level personnel need to search for suitable policies and strategies and adopt these for controlling the mass transmission of the virus.

According to the advances in users’service requirements,physical hardware accessibility,and speed of resource delivery,Cloud Computing(CC)is an essential technology to be used in many ***,the Internet of Things(IoT)is employed for more communication flexibility and richness that are required to obtain fruitful services.A multi-agent system might be a proper solution to control the load balancing of interaction and communication among *** paper proposes a multi-agent load balancing framework that consists of two phases to optimize the workload among different servers with large-scale CC power with various utilities and a significant number of IoT devices with low *** agents are integrated based on relevant features of behavioral interaction using classification techniques to balance the *** balancing algorithm is developed to serve users’requests to improve the solution of workload problems with an efficient *** activity task from IoT devices has been classified by feature selection methods in the preparatory phase to optimize the scalability ***,the server’s availability is checked and the classified task is assigned to its suitable server in the main phase to enhance the cloud environment ***-agent load balancing framework is succeeded to cope with the importance of using large-scale requirements of CC and(low resources and large number)of IoT.
