Improved Dwarf Mongoose Optimization for Constrained engineering Design Problems

This paper proposes a modified version of the Dwarf Mongoose Optimization Algorithm (IDMO) for constrained engineering design problems. This optimization technique modifies the base algorithm (DMO) in three simple but effective ways. First, the alpha selection in IDMO differs from the DMO, where evaluating the probability value of each fitness is just a computational overhead and contributes nothing to the quality of the alpha or other group members. The fittest dwarf mongoose is selected as the alpha, and a new operator ω is introduced, which controls the alpha movement, thereby enhancing the exploration ability and exploitability of the IDMO. Second, the scout group movements are modified by randomization to introduce diversity in the search process and explore unvisited areas. Finally, the babysitter's exchange criterium is modified such that once the criterium is met, the babysitters that are exchanged interact with the dwarf mongoose exchanging them to gain information about food sources and sleeping mounds, which could result in better-fitted mongooses instead of initializing them afresh as done in DMO, then the counter is reset to zero. The proposed IDMO was used to solve the classical and CeC 2020 benchmark functions and 12 continuous/discrete engineering optimization problems. The performance of the IDMO, using different performance metrics and statistical analysis, is compared with the DMO and eight other existing algorithms. In most cases, the results show that solutions achieved by the IDMO are better than those obtained by the existing algorithms.

Mitochondrial dysfunction in Parkinson＇s disease： a possible target for neuroprotection

Mitochondria are dynamic organelles which are required for maintaining cellular homeostasis. Thus, it is not surprising that irregularities in mitochondrial function result in cellular damage and are linked with neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson＇s disease. evidence that mitochondrial dysfunction is key to the pathogenesis of Parkinson＇s disease is founded in studies in post-mortem tissue from patients with Parkinson＇s disease, and also from genetic studies stemming from patients with familial Parkinson＇s disease. Whether triggered by environmental or genetic factors, mitochondrial dysfunction occurs early in the pathogenic process, and is central to Parkinson＇s disease pathology. As such, targeting the mitochondria to slow or halt disease progression is an attractive strategy for disease-modifying agents in Parkinson＇s disease. Indeed, several therapies which target the mitochondria have been investigated as neuroproteetive treatments for Parkinson＇s disease. This review will discuss the evidence supporting mitochondrial dysfunction in Parkinson＇s disease pathology as well as treatment strategies that target the mitochondria.

目的探讨自拟痤疮汤配合粉刺去除术治疗痤疮的临床疗效。方法92例痤疮患者,随机分为对照组和观察组,每组46例。对照组使用粉刺去除术治疗,观察组在对照组基础上使用自拟痤疮汤治疗。比较两组临床疗效、痤疮症状积分、各项评分[痤疮严重程度评分量表(GAGS)、痤疮瘢痕临床评分量表(eCCA)、痤疮伤残指数量表(ADI)、皮肤病生活质量指数(DLQI)]、各项炎性因子[血清肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)、白细胞介素-1β(IL-1β)、白细胞介素-8(IL-8)、γ-干扰素(IFN-γ)]。结果观察组治疗总有效率为95.65%,明显高于对照组的73.91%(PeCCA评分(44.13±5.37)分、ADI评分(5.28±1.26)分、DLQI评分(3.47±0.56)分均低于对照组的(9.81±1.69)、(51.95±6.10)、(7.63±1.85)、(4.65±0.75)分(P<0.05)。观察组治疗后血清TNF-α(94.68±14.52)pg/ml、IL-1β(85.23±13.37)pg/ml、IL-8(35.70±4.62)pg/ml低于对照组的(105.83±15.26)、(92.86±14.08)、(42.98±4.52)pg/ml,IFN-γ(1005.64±77.18)pg/ml高于对照组的(968.25±83.43)pg/ml(P<0.05)。结论自拟痤疮汤配合粉刺去除术治疗痤疮的临床疗效显著,能有效减轻皮损,缓解症状,降低炎症反应,改善皮肤状态,提高生活质量。

evaluation of students' receptiveness and response to an interprofessional learning activity across health care disciplines:An approach toward team development in healthcare

Objective:This investigation evaluated if exposure to interdisciplinary education improves student readiness for interprofessional learning,fundamental to healthcare team ***:A pre-test post-test design was used to evaluate 308 students from dental medicine,dietetics,medicine,nursing,pharmacy and physical *** Readiness for Interprofessional Learning Scale(RIPLS)was used to evaluate student responsiveness to interprofessional ***:Nursing RIPLS mean post-test score was higher compared to the pre-test score(p=0.020).Pharmacy students had higher RIPLS mean pre-test score compared to medical(p=0.010)and nursing students(p=0.018).RIPLS mean pre-test score was higher for dietetics than medical students(p=0.022).Conclusions/Implications:Interdisciplinary learning enhances readiness for interprofessional learning with nursing *** and dietetics students demonstrated a higher level of readiness for interdisciplinary learning compared to other *** of factors influencing readiness for interprofessional learning are key to developing learning strategies targeted to improve teamwork,quality of care and patient outcomes.

Formation of spherical alloy microparticles in a porous salt medium

This study describes the development of a one-pot strategy to produce spherical alloy microparticles for advanced near-net-shape manufacturing processes, including additive manufacturing and powder injection molding. The Al Si12 eutectic alloy(ca. 12 wt% Si) system was chosen as the model with which the main experiments were carried out. The proposed process synergistically integrates a few common,low-cost processing techniques including the mixing of Al micrometer size particles with silicon and sodium chloride, heat-treating the mixture at temperatures of 650–810°C, and the dissolution of salt in water to produce spherical Al Si12 alloy particles without the need to rely on costly melting and atomizing techniques. This new process can use laow-cost source Al and Si powders as the raw materials to produce10–200 um-sized spherical particles of Al Si12. The Ansys-CFX computational fluid dynamics software was used to analyze the flow behavior of Al Si12 liquid droplets and particle size refinement in the narrow voids of the sample.

中国六省市中小学生电子屏幕使用与近视的关联

目的探讨中国六省市中小学生电子屏幕使用情况及其与近视的关联,为综合防控中小学生近视提供科学依据。方法于2020年11月至2022年6月,采用分层整群随机抽样与概率抽样相结合的方法,选取中国六省市(北京市、辽宁省、浙江省、河南省、陕西省、重庆市)16557名中小学生作为研究对象,采用北京市疾病预防控制中心编制的问卷进行电子屏幕使用情况调查,并依据《儿童青少年近视筛查规范》采用质量浓度0.5%的复方托吡卡胺滴眼液麻痹睫状肌后进行裂隙灯验光检查。采用χ^(2)检验比较组间差异,采用二元Logistic回归分析电子屏幕使用与近视的关联。结果有58.3%的中小学生平均每日使用电子屏幕时间≥2 h,有63.4%的中小学生非学习目的一次持续使用电子产品≥15 min。调整混杂因素后,父母不限制使用电子屏幕时间、每日使用电子屏幕时间≥2 h与中小学生近视发生均呈正相关(OR值分别为1.27,1.13,P值均<0.05)。按性别分层分析结果显示,每日电子屏幕使用时间≥2 h的男生发生近视的风险较高(OR=1.15,P<0.05);按年级分层分析结果显示,在小学低年级学生中,父母不限制电子屏幕使用时间和每日电子屏幕使用时间≥2 h与中小学生近视发生均呈正相关(OR值分别为1.34,1.18);在小学高年级学生中,非学习目的一次持续使用电子屏幕时间≥15 min与近视发生呈正相关(OR=1.18)(P值均<0.05)。电子屏幕使用总时间和一次持续使用电子屏幕时间存在相乘交互作用(OR=1.04,P<0.05)。结论中国六省市中小学生电子屏幕使用较多,且电子屏幕使用过多与近视相关。学校和家长应当共同限制中小学生电子屏幕的使用,减少中小学生近视的发生。
