A molecular framework for seasonal growth-dormancy regulation in perennial plants

Comprehensive Analysis of Caching Performance under Probabilistic Traffic Patterns for Content Centric Networking

The phenomenon of data explosion represents a severe challenge for the upcoming big data ***,the current internet architecture is insufficient for dealing with a huge amount of traffic owing to an increase in redundant content transmission and the end-point-based communication ***-centric networking(iCN)is a paradigm for the future internet that can be utilized to resolve the data explosion *** this paper,we focus on content-centric networking(CCN),one of the key candidate iCN *** has been studied in various network environments with the aim of relieving network and server burden,especially in name-based forwarding and in-network caching *** paper studies the effect of several caching strategies in the CCN domain from the perspective of network and server ***,we comprehensively analyze the in-network caching performance of CCN under several popular cache replication methods(i.e.,cache placement).We evaluate the performance with respect to wellknown internet traffic patterns that follow certain probabilistic distributions,such as the Zipf/Mandelbrot–Zipf distributions,and *** the experiments,we developed an OPNeT-based CCN simulator with a realistic internet-like topology.

Day-ahead electricity price forecasting using back propagation neural networks and weighted least square technique

This paper proposes the day-ahead electricity price forecasting using the artificial neural networks （ANN） and weighted least square （WLS） technique in the restructured electricity markets. Price forecasting is very important for online trading, e-commerce and power system operation. Forecasting the hourly locational marginal prices （LMP） in the electricity markets is a very important basis for the decision making in order to maximize the profits/benefits. The novel approach pro- posed in this paper for forecasting the electricity prices uses WLS technique and compares the results with the results obtained by using ANNs. To perform this price forecasting, the market knowledge is utilized to optimize the selection of input data for the electricity price forecasting tool. in this paper, price forecasting for Pennsylvania-New Jersey-Maryland （PJM） interconnec- tion is demonstrated using the ANNs and the proposed WLS technique. The data used for this price forecasting is obtained from the PJM website. The forecasting results obtained by both methods are compared, which shows the effectiveness of the proposed forecasting approach. From the simulation results, it can be observed that the accuracy of prediction has increased in both seasons using the proposed WLS technique. Another important advantage of the proposed WLS technique is that it is not an iterative method.

研究了氮气中的高压体（扩散）放电特性,实验中施加的极间隙脉冲电压达数百千伏,持续时间为数纳秒,上升时间为几个纳秒,给出了实验结果。研究了氦气压强为（0.42）×10^5Pa时,从扩散形式到火花放电的放电转换过程。确定了在氮气压强下电流幅度与逃逸电子束电流脉宽的关系。结果表明,导致隙间扩散放电的超短雪崩电子束（SAeB）对放电过程有重要的影响。在该压强下得出了SAeB瞬间产生相对放电电流的时延与压强的关系,根据该关系,时延随着压强增加而变化,并且在压强为2×10^5Pa时最小,同时扩散放电电流脉冲的峰值随压强增加而减小。在0.5×10^5Pa的压强下,使用刀片电极和6 cm长的N2∶SF6=10∶1的激活媒质,得到了输出能量为2 mJ、脉冲功率为0.55 MW的激光。最后,在大气压强下,对AlBe箔片进行了重复频率放电处理（ReP）,其表层清除了碳而且氧原子以450 nm/300pulse渗入箔片。

TinyML-Based Classification in an eCG Monitoring embedded System

Recently, the development of the internet of Things (ioT) hasenabled continuous and personal electrocardiogram (eCG) monitoring. in theeCG monitoring system, classification plays an important role because it canselect useful data (i.e., reduce the size of the dataset) and identify abnormaldata that can be used to detect the clinical diagnosis and guide furthertreatment. Since the classification requires computing capability, the eCGdata are usually delivered to the gateway or the server where the classificationis performed based on its computing resource. However, real-time eCG datatransmission continuously consumes battery and network resources, whichare expensive and limited. To mitigate this problem, this paper proposes atiny machine learning (TinyML)-based classification (i.e., TinyCeS), wherethe eCG monitoring device performs the classification by itself based onthe machine-learning model, which can reduce the memory and the networkresource usages for the classification. To demonstrate the feasibility, afterwe configure the convolutional neural networks (CNN)-based model usingeCG data from the Massachusetts institute of Technology (MiT)-Beth israelHospital (BiH) arrhythmia and the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt(PTB) diagnostic eCG databases, TinyCeS is validated using the TinyMLsupportedArduino prototype. The performance results show that TinyCeScan have an approximately 97% detection ratio, which means that it has greatpotential to be a lightweight and resource-efficient eCG monitoring system.

Structural properties of water confined by phospholipid membranes

Biological membranes are essential for cell life and hydration. Water provides the driving force for the assembly and stability of many cell components. Here, we study the structural properties of water in a phospholipid membrane. We characterize the local structures, inspecting the intermediate range order （iRO） and adopting a sensitive local order metric recently proposed by Martelli et al. that measures and grades the degree of overlap of the local environment with the structures of perfect ice. Close to the membrane, water acquires a high iRO and changes its dynamical properties; i.e., its translational and rotational degrees of freedom slow in a region that extends over - 1 nm from the membrane interface. Surprisingly, we show that at distances as far as -~ 2.5 mn from the interface, although the bulk-like dynamics are recovered, the iRO of water is still slightly higher than that in the bulk under the same thermodynamic conditions. Therefore, the water-membrane interface has a structural effect at ambient conditions that propagates further than the often-invoked 1-nm length scale. Consequently, this should be considered when analyzing experimental data of water confined by membranes and could help us to understand the role of water in biological systems.

Survival analysis following early surgical success in intermittent exotropia surgery

AiM:To assess the consecutive recurrence following early success of intermittent exotropia surgery and to determine the clinical factors that affect the ***:One hundred and thirty-five patients who underwent intermittent exotropia surgery and experienced early surgical success[≤5 prism diopters(PD)esophoria(e)to≤10 PD exophoria(X)on the postoperative sixth month]were enrolled in this *** consecutive survival on the postoperative first year,second year and third year and at the last visit of fourth year or more,and the factors that might affect their survival,were *** final surgical outcomes after the postoperative fourth year were also investigated by dividing the patients into the success group(≤5 PD e to≤10 PD X)and the failure group(>5 PD esodeviation or>10 PD exodeviation)ReSULTS:The survival rates from the Kaplan-Meier analysis were 97.78%,92.89%,83.70%and 50.49%on the postoperative first,second and third years and fourth year or more,*** of the clinical factors was determined to have affected the *** amount of the exodrift was largest(2.29 PD)between the first year and the second year,and smallest(1.47 PD)between the fourth year and the last ***-three patients had their final visit after the postoperative fourth year,and 29 of them were in the failure *** patients in the failure group had an intermittent exotropia(iXT)ofith good to fair distant fusion;two had an iXT ofith poor distant fusion;one had an iXT of≥20 PD with fair distant fusion;and another had delayed-onset consecutive *** exodeviation on the postoperative sixth month was smaller in the success group than in the failure group(2.81 PD vs 5.86 PD,P=0.012).The reoperation rate for recurrent iXT was 3.7%.CONCLUSiON:The survival rate steadily decreases with the exodrift,but the amount of the exodrift decreases with long-term *** final outcomes demonstrate favorable results via surgic
