OBJeCTIVe: To investigate blood pressure rhythm(BPR)in yin deficiency syndrome of hypertension(yDSH)patients and develop a random forest model for predicting ***: Our study was consistent with technical processes and specification for developing guidelines of evidence-based Chinese medicine clinical practice(T/CACM 1032-2017). We enrolled 234 patients who had been diagnosed with primary hypertension without antihypertensive medications prior to the enrollment. All participants were divided into yin deficiency group(yX, n = 74) and non-yin deficiency group(NyX, n = 160).Participants were professionally grouped by three experienced chief Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)physicians according to four examinations(i.e.,inspection, listening and smelling, inquiry and palpation).We collected data on 24 h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring(ABPM) and yDSH rating scale. We divided 24 h of a day into 12 two-hour periods [Chen-Shi(7:00-9:00), Si-Shi(9:00-11:00), Wu-Shi(11:00-13:00), Wei-Shi(13:00-15:00), Shen-Shi(15:00-17:00), you-Shi(17:00-19:00), Xu-Shi(19:00-21:00), Hai-Shi(21:00-23:00), ZiShi(23:00-1:00), Chou-Shi(1:00-3:00), yin-Shi(3:00-5:00), Mao-Shi(5:00-7:00)] according to the theory of “midnight-midday ebb flow”. We used random forest to build the diagnostic model of yDSH, with whether it was yin deficiency syndrome as the outcome. ReSULTS: Compared with NyX group, yX group had more female participants with older age, lower waist circumference, body mass index(BMI), diastolic blood pressure(DBP), and smoking and drinking rate(all P e yDSH rating scores of yX group [28.5(21.0-36.0)] were significantly higher than NyX group [13.0(8.0-22.0)](P e typical symptoms of yX group included vexing heat in the chest, palms and soles, dizziness, dry eyes, string-like and fine pulse, soreness and weakness of lumbus and knees, palpitations, reddened cheeks, and tinnitus(all P e ratio of non-dipper hypertension in yX group was higher t

Paleoenvironmental changes recorded by grain size of loess/paleosol sequence from the Chifeng City,Northeastern China since the Last Glacial

The accumulation processes of loess in northeastern(Ne)China record the varying characteristics of the east Asian Monsoons(eAM)and the evolution of the local *** this study,grain size end-member analysis of the Dajiugang(DJG)section deposited since the Last Glacial in Chifeng City,Ne China was used to reveal the dynamic depositional characteristics of loess and environmental evolution of Ne *** showed that the Chifeng loess comprises three grain size end-members(eM),eM1(7.38μm),eM2(49.4μm)and eM3(90.00μm),indicating the three transport dynamics of dust delivered to the *** eM1 represents atmospheric dust as the *** eM2,mainly derived from relatively distant-sources deposition,and eM3,material transported over a short distance,correspond to the intensity of southwesterly winds and the east Asian Winter Monsoon(eAWM),*** of climate reconstruction,combined with other records,showed that the climate was generally cold and dry with a strong eAWM and a weak east Asian summer monsoon(eASM)during the stadial-period[Marine Isotope Stage(MIS)4 and MIS 2 stage].The climate was predominantly warm and humid,with weak eAWM and surface winds and strong eASM in interstadial-period(MIS 3 and MIS 1 stage).Comparisons between indicators,e.g.,eM3,the LR04 benthicδ18O stack and summer insolation at 65°N suggest that the strong eAWM is induced by increasing the Northern Hemisphere ice volume and reduced summer solar radiation.

Water-soluble brown carbon in atmospheric aerosols from the resource-dependent cities:Optical properties,chemical compositions and sources

As a vital type of light-absorbing aerosol,brown carbon(BrC)presents inherent associations with atmospheric photochemistry and climate ***,the understanding of the chemical and optical properties of BrC is limited,especially in some resource-dependent cities with long heating periods in northwest *** study showed that the annual average abundances of Water-soluble BrC(WS-BrC)were 9.33±7.42 and 8.69±6.29μg/m^(3)in Baotou and Wuhai and the concentrations,absorption coefficient(Abs_(365)),and mass absorption efficiency(MAe365)of WS-BrC presented significant seasonal patterns,with high values in the heating season and low values in the non-heating season;while showing opposite seasonal trends for the Absorption Angstr?m exponent(AAe_(300-400)).Comparatively,the levels of WS-BrC in developing regions(such as cities in Asia)were higher than those in developed regions(such as cities in europe and Australia),indicating the significant differences in energy consumption in these *** combining fluorescence excitation-emission matrix(eeM)spectra with the parallel factor(PARAFAC)model,humic-like(C1 and C2)and proteinlike(C3)substances were identified,and accounted for 61.40%±4.66%and 38.6%±3.78%at Baotou,and 60.33%±6.29%and 39.67%±4.17%at Wuhai,*** results of source apportionment suggested that the potential source regions of WS-BrC varied in heating ***-heating seasons and that the properties of WS-BrC significantly depended on primary emissions(e.g.,combustion emissions)and secondary formation.

Recently,observational hints for supermassive black holes have been accumulating,prompting the question:Can primordial black holes(PBHs)be supermassive,particularly with masses M■10^(9)M_(⊙)?A supercritical bubble,containing an inflating baby universe,that nucleated during inflation can evolve into a PBH in our observable *** find that when the inflaton slowly transitions past a neighboring vacuum,the nucleation rate of supercritical bubbles inevitably peaks,leading to a mass distribution of multiverse PBHs with a peak mass up to M■10^(11)M_(⊙).Thus,our mechanism naturally provides a primordial origin for supermassive black holes.

Alkali-resistant NO_(x) reduction over FeVO_(4)/TiO_(2)catalysts via regulating the electron transfer between Fe and V

The presence of alkali metals in exhaust gas from stationary resources causes a grand challenge for the practical application of selective catalytic reduction(SCR)of NO_(x) with NH_(3).Here,alkali-resistant NO_(x) reduction has been successfully implemented via tailoring the electron transfer over Fe and V species on FeVO_(4)/TiO_(2)*** strong interaction between Fe and V induced electron transfer from V to Fe and strengthened the adsorption and activation of NH_(3)and NO over active VO_(x) *** the presence of K_(2)O,the strong electron withdrawing effect of Fe offset the electron donating effect of K on the VO_(x) species,thus protecting the active species VO_(x) to maintain the NO_(x) reduction *** enhanced adsorption and activation of NH_(3) allowed SCR reaction to proceed via e-R mechanism even after K_(2)O *** work elucidated the electronic effects on the alkali metals resistance of traditional ferric vanadate SCR catalysts and provided a promising strategy to design SCR catalysts with superior alkali resistance.

Biochemistry and transcriptome analysis reveal condensed tannins alleviate liver injury induced by regulating cholesterol metabolism pathway

Free cholesterol has been considered to be a critical risk factor of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).It remains unknown whether dietary intake of condensed tannins(CTs)have distinguishable effects to alleviate liver damage caused by a high cholesterol *** C57BL/6 mice were fed a high cholesterol diet for 6 weeks,and given CTs treatment at a dosage of 200 mg/(kg·day)at the same *** results indicated that compared with mice fed a normal diet,a high cholesterol diet group resulted in significant weight loss,dysregulation of lipid metabolism in blood and liver,and oxidative stress in the liver,but CTs treatment dramatically reversed these negative *** and eosin(H&e)staining and frozen section observation manifested that CTs treatment could effectively reduce the deposition of liver cholesterol and tissue necrosis caused by high cholesterol *** alleviated liver injury mainly by regulating the expression of related genes in cholesterol metabolism pathway and AMPK *** results confirmed that CTs have remarkable cholesterol lowering and anti-liver injury effects in vivo.

Hyperplasia and migration of fibroblast-like synoviocytes(FLSs)are the key drivers in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis(RA)and joint *** yes-associated protein(yAP),which is a powerful transcription co-activator for proliferative genes,was observed in the nucleus of inflammatory FLSs with unknown upstream *** Gene expression Omnibus database analysis,it was found that Salvador homolog-1(SAV1),the pivotal negative regulator of the Hippo-yAP pathway,was slightly downregulated in RA ***,SAV1 protein expression is extremely ***,it was revealed that SAV1 is phosphorylated,ubiquitinated,and degraded by interacting with an important serine-threonine kinase,G protein-coupled receptor(GPCR)kinase 2(GRK2),which was predominately upregulated by GPCR activation induced by ligands such as prostaglandin e2(PGe2)in *** process further contributes to the decreased phosphorylation,nuclear translocation,and transcriptional potency of yAP,and leads to aberrant FLSs *** depletion of GRK2 or inhibition of GRK2 by paroxetine rescued SAV1 expression and restored yAP phosphorylation and finally inhibited RA FLSs proliferation and ***,paroxetine treatment effectively reduced the abnormal proliferation of FLSs in a rat model of collagen-induced arthritis which was accompanied by a significant improvement in clinical ***,these results elucidate the significance of GRK2 regulation of Hippo-yAP signaling in FLSs proliferation and migration and the potential application of GRK2 inhibition in the treatment of FLSs-driven joint destruction in RA.

Preparation and Tribological Properties of Onion-like Carbon/Waterborne Polyurethane Coatings

Rice husk powder was used as a carbon source in a high-temperature carbonization reaction for the production of rice husk ash(RHA).Under the catalysis of ferric nitrate,onion-like carbon(OLC)nanomaterial with a particle size of approximately 200 nm was successfully prepared and incorporated into waterborne polyurethane(WPU).The tribological properties of the coatings were determined using a controlled-atmosphere tribometer(WMT-2e)under dry-friction *** the friction test,the friction mechanism was investigated by characterizing the abrasive spot surfaces of the test samples using 3D laser microscopy and scanning electron microscopy/energy dispersive *** final results demonstrated that the thermal stability of WPU composite coatings containing various concentrations of OLC nanoparticles was significantly enhanced,binding forces between coatings and steel sheets increased,and hardness improved compared to pure WPU *** tests revealed a notable enhancement in the anti-wear properties of WPU coatings due to the presence of OLC ***,the wear rate of the 1.5%OLC/WPU coating was reduced by 45.3%.The coating’s anti-wear mechanism was attributed to the improvement in the mechanical properties of WPU due to OLC,as well as OLC’s participation in the formation of a transfer film under induced friction,which protected the matrix.
