Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of trimetazidine on exercise cap.city via a six-minute walk test in p.tients with ischae.ic cardiomyop.thy and also evaluate the effect of trimetazidine on left ventricular function via echocardiograp.y in the same p.p.lation. Methods: This p.osp.ctive observational study, conducted at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in Dhaka, Bangladesh, enrolled 200 p.tients with ischae.ic cardiomyop.thy and a dep.essed left ventricular ejection fraction (LVeF Results: In this study (n = 200) of ischae.ic cardiomyop.thy p.tients, the mean age was 58 years, with 76% of the p.tients being male. All study subjects received GDMT (Guideline-Directed Me.ical Therap.) for angina and heart failure. Those who received the modified released form of trimetazidine develop.d lesions during the 1st and 2nd follow-up., during which the LVeF, LVIDd, and six-minute walk distance significantly imp.oved (p.Conclusion: The findings of the p.esent study demonstrated that the addition of modified-release trimetazidine to GDMT can imp.ove exercise cap.city and left ventricular function in p.tients with ischae.ic cardiomyop.thy.
