Upper Cretaceous phosphorite beds of the Duwi Formation, Upper egypt, are intercalated with limestone, sandy limestone, marl, calcareous shales, and calcareous sandstone. Calcareous intercalations were subjected to field and detailed petrographic, mineralogical and geochemical investigations in order to constrain their rock composition and origin.; Mineralogically, dolomite, calcite, quartz, francolite.and feldspars are the non-clay minerals. smectite, kaolinite.and illite represent the clay minerals. Major and trace elements can be classified as the detrital and carbonate fractions based on their sources. The detrital fraction includes the elements that are derived from detrital sources, mainly clay minerals and quartz, such as si, Al, Fe, Ti, K, Ba, V, Ni, Co, Cr, Zn, Cu, Zr, and Mo. The carbonate fraction includes the elements that are derived from carbonates, maily calcite.and dolomite, such as Ca, Mg and sr. ; Dolomite occurs as being dense, uniform, mosaic, very fine-to-fine, non-ferroan, and non-stoichiometrical, suggesting its early diagenetic formation in a near-shore oxidizing shallow marine environment. The close association and positive correlation between dolomite.and smectite indicates the role of clay minerals in the formation of dolomite as a source of Mge.an-rich solutions.; Calcareous rocks were deposited in marine, oxidizing and weakly alkaline conditions, marking a semi-arid climatic period. The calcareous/argillaceous alternations are due to oscillations in clay/carbonate ratio.

Detection and Identification of Gonococci Resistance to Cephalosporin and Determination the Most effective empirical Treatment for Gonococcal Urethritis in Male Human in egypt

Introduction: Gonorrhoeae.and antimicrobial resistance AMR of gonococci is a major health problem today, because emerged resistance to last line empirical treatment for gonorrhoeae cephalosporins in many countries is predictable to be untreatable disease in near future. WHO GAsP, WHO GLAss and WHO’s global action plan on AMR recommends to expand nationally and internationally to collect data to monitor AMR of gonococci for public health policies. Objective: Our aim is to detect resistance of gonococci to Cepha- losporins and determine the most effective empirical treatment for un-com- plicated gonococcal urethritis in males in egypt. Methods: We depended in our methodology on selected gonococci from male urethral discharge specimens on Thyer Martien medium;collected 33 isolates during three years from 2017 to 2020;used antibiotics with MIC according to international standards and measuring IZD according to antimicrobial susceptibility testing reference ranges in international standards. Results: By statistical studies, resistance to cephalosporins was as follows: Cephradine 97%, Cefaclor 87.9%, Cefoxitin 97%, Ceftriaxone 90.9% and 42.4% to Cefepime, that shows hetero-genecity in resistance inside cephalosporin group;while resistance to Macrolides group represented by Azithromycin and Tetracyclins group represented by Doxycycline was as follows: Azithromycin 39.4%, Doxycycilne 27.3%;finally fluoroquinolones, the most effective group, resistance, was as: Levofloxacin 15.2%, Ciprofloxacin 15.2% and Ofloxacin 24.2%. Conclusion: The most effective empirical treatment for uncomplicated gonococcal urethritis in males in eGYPT is Fluoroquinolone;especially Levofloxacin ranks first susceptibility as 78.8% and 15.2% resistance followed by Ciprofloxacin susceptibility as 69.7% and 15.2% resistance, finally Ofloxacin susceptibility as 66.7% and 24.2% resistance;for Ceftriaxone not more recommended in eGYPT as empirical treatment for uncomplicated gonococcal urethritis, it is su

Long-term outcomes of pediatric liver transplantation in acute liver failure vs end-stage chronic liver disease:A retrospective observational study

BACKGROUND Children with acute liver failure(ALF)who meet the criteria are eligible for super-urgent transplantation,whereas children with end-stage chronic liver disease(esCLD)are usually transplanted *** liver transplantation(PLT)in ALF and esCLD settings has been well described in the literature,but there are no studies comparing the outcomes in these two *** To determine if there is a difference in post-operative complications and survival outcomes between ALF and esCLD in *** This was a retrospective observational study of all primary PLTs performed at a single center between 2000 and *** and esCLD groups were compared for pretransplant recipient,donor and operative parameters,and post-operative outcomes including graft and patient *** Over a 20-year study period,232 primary PLTs were performed at our center;195 were transplanted for esCLD and 37 were transplanted for *** ALF recipients were significantly older(median 8 years vs 5.4 years;P=0.031)and heavier(31 kg vs 21 kg;P=0.011).Living donor grafts were used more in the esCLD group(34 vs 0;P=0.006).There was no difference between the two groups concerning vascular complications and rejection,but there were more bile leaks in the esCLD ***-transplant patient survival was significantly higher in the esCLD group:1-,5-,and 10-year survival rates were 97.9%,93.9%,and 89.4%,respectively,compared to 78.3%,78.3%,and 78.3%in the ALF group(P=0.007).However,there was no difference in 1-,5-,and 10-year graft survival between the esCLD and ALF groups(90.7%,82.9%,77.3%vs 75.6%,72.4%,and 66.9%;P=0.119).CONCLUsION Patient survival is inferior in ALF compared to esCLD recipients;the main reason is death in the 1st year post-PLT in ALF *** the ALF children overcome the 1st year after transplant,their survival stabilizes,and they have good long-term outcomes.

合理开发和管理自然资源对于实现可持续发展至关重要,地面沉降作为目前影响城市可持续发展的最重要地质灾害,其与人类活动有着紧密的关系,如地下水开采,基础设施开发导致的施工超载等。巴基斯坦第二大城市拉合尔出现了显著的地面沉降现象,与此同时,拉合尔也正在经历城市化过程中的人口密度急剧增加、大规模城市建设和地下水开采,通过分析拉合尔地面沉降的不同空间模式与人类活动的对应关系,将有助于合理规划拉合尔城市的发展。本文利用永久散射体合成孔径雷达干涉测量(PsI)技术对拉合尔2018年8月-2019年8月的sentinel-1数据进行In sAR处理,获取了该城市的地表形变速率为-114-15毫米/年,并结合拉合尔的土地覆盖图、交通网络和水道、土壤类型、人口密度和现场点数据,分析各种因素在地面抬升或沉降发生中的作用。结果显示,沉降与各种参数(如地下水抽取和地下水位降低、土壤类型变化、土地覆盖变化、地表水通道和人口密度)之间建立了很强的相关性,其中拉合尔中部人口密集,地下水开采严重,使其成为该地区沉降最为严重的区域,而在拉维河附近人口较少的农村地区,由于通过运河系统,地下水得到河流补给,观察到了地表抬升。

CsPbI3 nanorods as the interfacial layer for high-performance,all-solution-processed self-powered photodetectors

Heterojunction is regarded as a crucial step toward realizing high-performance devices, particularly,forming gradient energy band between heterojunctions benefits self-powered photodetectors. Therefore, in this paper, the synthesis of CsPbInanorods(NRs) and its application as the interfacial layer in high-performance, all-solution-processed self-powered photodetectors are presented. For the bilayer photodetector ITO/ZnO(100 nm)/Pbs-TBAI(150 nm)/Au, a responsivity of 3.6 A/W with a specific detectivity of 9.8 × 10Jones was obtained under 0.1 mW/cm~2 white light illumination at zero bias(*** self-powered mode). Meanwhile, the photocurrent was enhanced to an On/Off current ratio of 105 at zero bias with an open circuit voltage of 0.53 V for trilayer photodetector ITO/ZnO(100 nm)/PbsTBAI(150 nm)/CsPbI(250 nm)/Au, in which the CsPbINRs layer works as the interfacial layer. As a result, a specific detectivity of 4.5 × 10Jones with a responsivity of 11.12 A/W was obtained under0.1 mW/cm~2 white light illumination, as well as the rising/decaying time of 0.57 s/0.41 s with excellent stability and reproducibility upto four weeks in air. The enhanced-performance is ascribed to the mismatch bandgap between Pbs-TBAI/CsPbIinterface, which can suppress the carrier recombination and provide efficient transport passages for charge carriers. Thus, it provides a feasible.and efficient method for high-performance photodetectors.

PUVA versus NB-UVB in Management of Vitiligo, Clinico-Immuno-Pathological study

Background: Phototherapy is the most commonly used modality in the treatment of vitiligo. Oral PUVA is the classical treatment and the NB-UVB is a recently introduced form excluding the shorter erythemogenic wavelengths. Aims: This study was designed to compare the effects of PUVA and NB-UVB clinically and immuno-pathologically in managing non segmental vitiligo. Patients/Methods: Thirty vitiligo patients were divided randomly into two groups and treated either by oral PUVA or by narrow band UVB for 4 months, and evaluation was done clinically and immuno-pathologically. Results: One patient in PUVA group (3.3%) failed to respond to therapy while 29 patients (93.3%) improved including all NB-UVB cases. excellent repigmentation was achieved in 6.7% in PUVA group and 66.6% in NB-UVB group;good repigmentation was achieved in 60% in PUVA and 20% in NB-UVB while 26.7% in PUVA and 13.3% in NB-UVB showed mild repigmentation. The color matching was excellent in all NB-UVB patients. Recurrence.and activation of vitiligo were demonstrated in some NB-UVB cases and were less in PUVA treated cases. Microscopic examination revealed persistence of dermal lympho-histiocytic infiltrate.and the interface changes in biopsies from vitiliginous lesions treated with NB-UVB more than with PUVA. Conclusions: NB-UVB provides significant better results than oral PUVA in managing non-segmental vitiligo. Although NB-UVB therapy gives a rapid effect, yet the observation of recurrences and development of new lesions of vitiligo were less significant with PUVA. It was also observed that PUVA has better immuno-modulatory effect on vitiligo than NB-UVB and may give better response on a longer period of time.
