Antimicrobial resistance(AMR)has emerged as a significant challenge in human *** treatment plants(WWTPs),acting as a link between human activities and the environment,create ideal conditions for the selection and spread of antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs)and antibioticresistant bacteria(ARB).Unfortunately,current treatment processes are ineffective in removing ARGs,resulting in the release of large quantities of ARB and ARGs into the aquatic environment through WWTP ***,in turn,leads to their dispersion and potential transmission to human through water and the food *** safeguard human and environmental health,it is crucial to comprehend the mechanisms by which WWTP effluent discharge influences the distribution and diffusion of ARGs in downstream *** this study,we examine the latest researches on the antibiotic resistome in various waterbodies that have been exposed to WWTP effluent,highlighting the key influencing ***,recommendations for future research and management strategies to control the dissemination of ARGs from WWTPs to the environment are provided,with the aim to achieve the“One Health”objective.

Mn^(2+)doping has been adopted as an efficient approach to regulating the luminescence properties of halide perovskite nano-crystals(NCs).However,it is still difficult to understand the interplay of Mn^(2+)luminescence and the matrix self-trapped exciton(STe)emission *** this study,Mn^(2+)-doped CsCdCl_(3) NCs are prepared by hot injection,in which CsCdCl_(3) is selected because of its unique crystal structure suitable for STe *** blue emission at 441 nm of undoped CsCdCl_(3) NCs originates from the defect states in the ***^(2+)doping promotes lattice distortion of CsCdCl_(3) and generates bright orange-red light emission at 656 *** en-ergy transfer from the STes of CsCdCl_(3) to the excited levels of the Mn^(2+)ion is confirmed to be a significant factor in achieving efficient luminescence in CsCdCl_(3):Mn^(2+)*** work highlights the crucial role of energy transfer from STes to Mn^(2+)dopants in Mn^(2+)-doped halide NCs and lays the groundwork for modifying the luminescence of other metal halide perovskite NCs.

Particle entrainment is an inevitable phenomenon in pipeline systems,especially during the development and extraction phases of oil and gas *** predicting the critical velocity for particle transport is a key focus for implementing effective sand control *** work presents a semi-supervised learning–deep hybrid kernel extreme learning machine(SSL-DHKeLM)model for predicting the critical velocity,which integrates multiple machine learning theories including the deep learning approach,which is adept at advanced feature ***,the SSL framework enhances the model's capabilities when data availability is *** improved slime mould algorithm is also employed to optimize the model's *** proposed model has high accuracy on both the sample dataset and out-of-sample *** trained with only 10%of the data,the model's error still did not increase ***,this model achieves superior predictive accuracy compared to existing mechanistic models,demonstrating its impressive performance and robustness.

The basic region/leucine zipper(bZIP)transcription factors play important roles in plant development and responses to abiotic and biotic ***53 regulates resistance to Magnaporthe oryzae in rice by analyzing APIP5-RNAi transgenic *** further investigate the biological functions of OsbZIP53,we generated osbzip53 mutants using CRISPR/Cas9 editing and also constructed OsbZIP53 over-expression transgenic *** analysis of phenotypical,physiological,and transcriptional data showed that knocking-out OsbZIP53 not only improved disease resistance by inducing a hypersensitivity response in plants,but also regulated the immune response through the salicylic acid ***,disrupting OsbZIP53 increased H2O2 accumulation by promoting reactive oxygen species generation through up-regulation of several respiratory burst oxidase homologs(Osrboh genes)and weakened H2O2 degradation by directly targeting *** addition,the growth of osbzip53 mutants was seriously impaired,while OsbZIP53 over-expression lines displayed a similar phenotype to the wild type,suggesting that OsbZIP53 has a balancing effect on rice immune response and growth.

The introduction of small size non-metal elements(e.g.,oxygen)into solid solution alloys may be a promising strategy for fabricating efficient Pt-based catalysts with high activity and stability toward oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).Herein,oxygen interstitially inserted PtCu(O-PtCu)alloys are firstly designed by an oxygen-microalloying strategy,through ultraviolet(UV)irradiation-assisted galvanic replacement in an aqueous solution containing H_(2)PtCl_(6) and Cu_(2)O nanowires as sacrificial *** obtained O-PtCu alloys feature a typical face-centered cubic(FCC)structure with majority Pt,Cu atoms as building bricks and trace interstitial oxygen(1.65 wt.%)existed in the octahedral sites surrounding Cu atoms,leading to a short-range disordered *** alloy reaches a recorded half-wave potential of 0.96 V(*** hydrogen electrode(RHe))and mass activity of 0.48 A·mgPt^(−1),much higher than those of commercial Pt/*** the accelerated degradation test(ADT),the mass activity lost only 4.2%after 10k cycles,while the commercial Pt/C lost 66.7%under the same *** with pure Pt and undoped PtCu alloy,the remarkably improved performance can be attributed to the lattice distortion and energy band reconstruction caused by the interstitial oxygen atoms in form of Cu–O ***,the stable Cu–O bonds delay the possible place exchange between surface Pt atoms and surface-adsorbed oxygen species,thereby hindering Pt dissolution,providing a new paradigm to address Pt degradation ***,the introduction of interstitial oxygen into Pt-based alloys may be a facile and smart strategy for the development of advanced Pt-based alloys electrocatalysts.

The post-peak characteristics of coal serve as a direct reflection of its failure process and are essential parameters for evaluating brittleness and bursting *** the significant factors that influence post-peak characteristics can offer valuable insights for the prevention of coal *** this study,the Synthetic Rock Mass method is employed to establish a numerical model,and the factors affecting coal post-peak characteristics are analyzed from four perspectives:coal matrix mechanical parameters,structural weak surface properties,height-to-width ratio,and loading *** research identifies four significant influencing factors:deformation modulus,density of discrete fracture networks,height-to-width ratio,and loading *** response and sensitivity of post-peak characteristics to single-factor and multi-factor interactions are *** result suggested that feasible prevention and control measures for coal bursts can be formulated through four approaches:weakening the mechanical properties of coal pillars,increasing the number of structural weak surfaces in coal pillars,reducing the width of coal pillars,and optimizing mining and excavation *** efficacy of measures aimed at weakening the mechanical properties of coal is successfully demonstrated through a case study on coal burst prevention using large-diameter borehole drilling.

The biocidal effects of free nitrous acid (FNA) have found applications in multiple units in an urban wastewater system, including sewer networks, wastewater treatment processes, and sludge treatment processes. However, these applications are associated with chemical costs as both nitrite and acid are needed to produce FNA at the required levels. The recent discovery of novel acid-tolerant ammonia oxidizers offers the possibility to produce FNA from domestic wastewater, enabling the development of next-generation FNA-based technologies capable of achieving self-sustaining FNA production. In this study, we focus on the concept of in situ FNA generation facilitated by acid-tolerant ammonia oxidizers and highlight the multiple benefits it creates, after a brief review of the historical development of FNA-based technologies. We will discuss how wastewater systems can be made more energy-efficient and sustainable by leveraging the potential of acid-tolerant ammonia oxidizers.
