Protonic ceramic electrolysis cell(PCeC)is a promising technology for production of pure dry hydrogen due to the low operating temperature and high *** of the obstacles for commercialization of PCeC technology is the poor performance and insufficient long-term durability of the oxygen *** this study,we address the above challenge by designing a LaCoO_(3)(LC)catalyst infiltrated porous BaZr_(0.8)Y_(0.2)O_(3)−δ(BZY20)backbone electrode(LC-BZY20).The performance and durability of the LC-BZY20 electrode are investigated on symmetrical cells using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(eIS).The total electrode polarization resistance(RP)values of the electrode are 0.56,1.24,2.18,and 2.90Ωcm2 in 3vol%humidified synthetic air at 600,550,500,and 450℃,respectively,indicating good electrochemical performance of the LC-BZY20 ***,the LC-BZY20 electrode displays good stability,without significant performance degradation when tested at 600℃ in 10vol%humidified air for 900*** further study the influence of oxygen partial pressure(PO_(2))and steam partial pressure(P_(H_(2)O))on the response of the eIS data,and propose a set of chemical and electrochemical processes involved in the steam splitting reaction in the LC-BZY20 electrode.

The adsorption of 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid(NDCA)molecules on the Ag(110),Cu(110),and Ag(111)surfaces at room temperature has been studied by means of scanning tunnelling microscopy(STM).Further supporting results were obtained using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and soft X-ray absorption spectroscopy(XAS).On the Ag(110)support,which had an average terrace width of only 15 nm,the NDCA molecules form extended one-dimensional(1-D)assemblies,which are oriented perpendicular to the step edges and have lengths of several hundred *** shows that the assemblies have a large tolerance to monatomic surface steps on the Ag(110)*** observed behaviour is explained in terms of strong intermolecular hydrogen bonding and a strong surface-mediated directionality,assisted by a sufficient degree of molecular backbone *** contrast,the same kind of step-edge crossing is not observed when the molecules are adsorbed on the isotropic Ag(111)or more reactive Cu(110)*** Ag(111),similar 1-D assemblies are formed to those on Ag(110),but they are oriented along the step *** Cu(110),the carboxylic groups of NDCA are deprotonated and form covalent bonds to the surface,a situation which is also achieved on Ag(110)by annealing to 200°*** results show that the formation of particular self-assembled molecular nanostructures depends significantly on a subtle balance between the adsorbate-adsorbate and adsorbate-substrate interactions and that kinetic factors play an important role.

The N-terminal eF-hand calcium-binding proteins 1–3(NeCAB1–3) constitute a family of predominantly neuronal proteins characterized by the presence of at least one eF-hand calcium-binding domain and a functionally less well characterized C-terminal antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain. All three family members were initially discovered due to their interactions with other proteins. NeCAB1 associates with synaptotagmin-1, a critical neuronal protein involved in membrane trafficking and synaptic vesicle exocytosis. NeCAB2 interacts with predominantly striatal G-protein-coupled receptors, while NeCAB3 partners with amyloid-β A4 precursor protein-binding family A members 2 and 3, key regulators of amyloid-β production. This demonstrates the capacity of the family for interactions with various classes of proteins. NeCAB proteins exhibit distinct subcellular localizations: NeCAB1 is found in the nucleus and cytosol, NeCAB2 resides in endosomes and the plasma membrane, and NeCAB3 is present in the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi apparatus. The antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain, an evolutionarily ancient component, is akin to atypical heme oxygenases in prokaryotes but is not wellcharacterized in vertebrates. Prokaryotic antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domains typically form dimers, suggesting that calcium-mediated conformational changes in NeCAB proteins may induce antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain dimerization, potentially activating some enzymatic properties. However, the substrate for this enzymatic activity remains uncertain. Alternatively, calcium-mediated conformational changes might influence protein interactions or the subcellular localization of NeCAB proteins by controlling the availability of protein–protein interaction domains situated between the eF hands and the antibiotic biosynthesis monooxygenase domain. This paper investigates the free vibration and transient response of interconnected structures including double curved beams and intermediate straight beams,which are all constructed from functionally graded porous(FGP) materials. The strain potential and kinetic energies of each beam along with the work done by the external force are calculated. Additionally, a higher-order beam element is introduced to derive stiffness and mass matrices, along with the force vector. The curved and straight beams are discretized, and their assembled stiffness, mass matrices, and force vectors, are *** conditions at the joints are used to derive the total matrices of the entire structure. Subsequently, the natural frequencies and transient response of the system are determined. The accuracy of the mathematical model and the self-developed computer program is validated through the comparison of the obtained results with those of the existing literature and commercial software ANSYS, demonstrating excellent ***, a comprehensive study is conducted to investigate the effects of various parameters on the free vibration and transient response of the considered structure.

Mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(mROS)that are overproduced by mitochondrial dysfunction are linked to pathological conditions including sensory ***,we explored whether mROS overproduction induces itch through transient receptor potential canonical 3(TRPC3),which is sensitive to *** injection of antimycin A(AA),a selective inhibitor of mitochondrial electron transport chain complex III for mROS overproduction,produced robust scratching behavior in naïve mice,which was suppressed by MitoTeMPO,a mitochondria-selective ROS scavenger,and Pyr10,a TRPC3-specific blocker,but not by blockers of TRPA1 or *** activated subsets of trigeminal ganglion neurons and also induced inward currents,which were blocked by MitoTeMPO and ***,dry skin-induced chronic scratching was relieved by MitoTeMPO and Pyr10,and also by resveratrol,an *** together,our results suggest that mROS elicit itch through TRPC3,which may underlie chronic itch,representing a potential therapeutic target for chronic itch.

Using a novel silver nanorods absorber with a localized surface plasmon resonance absorption peak at 1.06μm,we obtain a diode-pumped passively Q-switched(PQS)Nd,Gd:CaF_(2) disordered crystal laser *** PQS pulse laser performances are studied comprehensively and systematically in this *** single pulse energy and peak power can be attained to 2.15μJ and 2.06 W,respectively.

Secondary plant metabolites,represented by indole glucosinolates(IGS)and camalexin,play important roles in Arabidopsis ***,we demonstrated the importance of MPK3 and MPK6,two closely related MAPKs,in regulating Botrytis cinerea(Bc)-induced IGS and camalexin *** we report that CPK5 and CPK6,two redundant calcium-dependent protein kinases(CPKs),are also involved in regulating the biosynthesis of these secondary *** loss-of-function of both CPK5 and CPK6 compromises plant resistance to *** profiling of CPK5-VK transgenic plants,in which a truncated constitutively active CPK5 is driven by a steroidinducible promoter,revealed that biosynthetic genes of both IGS and camalexin pathways are coordinately upregulated after the induction of CPK5-VK,leading to high-level accumulation of camalexin and 4-methoxyindole-3-ylmethylglucosinolate(4MI3G).Induction of camalexin and 4MI3G,as well as the genes in their biosynthesis pathways,is greatly compromised in cpks cpk6 mutant in response to *** a conditional cpk5 cpk6 mpk3 mpk6 quadruple mutant,Be resistance and induction of IGS and camalexin are further reduced in comparison to either cpks cpk6 or conditional mpk3 mpk6 double mutant,suggesting that both CPK5/CPK6 and MPK3/MPK6 signaling pathways contribute to promote the biosynthesis of 4MI3G and camalexin in defense against Be.
