Parkinsonism by unilateral,intranigralβ-sitosterolβ-D-glucoside administration in rats is distinguished in that theα-synuclein insult begins unilaterally but spreads bilaterally and increases in severity over time,thus replicating several clinical features of Parkinson’s disease,a typicalα-*** Nurr1 repressesα-synuclein,we evaluated whether unilateral transfected of rNurr1-V5 transgene via neurotensin-polyplex to the substantia nigra on day 30 after unilateralβ-sitosterolβ-D-glucoside lesion could affect bilateral neuropathology and sensorimotor deficits on day 30 *** study found that rNurr1-V5 expression but not that of the green fluorescent protein(the negative control)reducedβ-sitosterolβ-D-glucoside-induced ***,a bilateral increase in tyrosine hydroxylase-positive cells and arborization occurred in the substantia nigra and increased tyrosine hydroxylase-positive ramifications in the *** addition,tyrosine hydroxylase-positive cells displayed less senescence markerβ-galactosidase and more neuron-cytoskeleton markerβIII-tubulin and brain-derived neurotrophic factor.A significant decrease in activated microglia(positive to ionized calcium-binding adaptor molecule 1)and neurotoxic astrocytes(positive to glial fibrillary acidic protein and complement component 3)and increased neurotrophic astrocytes(positive to glial fibrillary acidic protein and S100 calcium-binding protein A10)also occurred in the substantia *** e.fects followed the bilateral reduction inα-synuclein aggregates in the nigrostriatal system,improving sensorimotor *** results show that unilateral rNurr1-V5 transgene expression in nigral dopaminergic neurons mitigates bilateral neurodegeneration(senescence and loss of neuron-cytoskeleton and tyrosine hydroxylase-positive cells),neuroinflammation(activated microglia,neurotoxic astrocytes),α-synuclein aggregation,and sensorimotor *** neurotrophic astrocytes and

Contrary to the current consensus, I argue that the existing evidence.for high-temperature superconductivity in hydrides under high pressure is not compelling. I suggest that the.focus of the.field should urgently shift to establish unequivocally experimentally whether or not superconductivity in pressurized hydrides exists, instead of continuing to search for new materials that might show elusive signals of unproven superconductivity at ever higher temperatures. The implications of a negative.finding for the theoretical understanding of superconductivity are discussed.

Powder bed fusion methods of additive manufacturing (AM) require consistent, reproducible, and uniform layers of powder for the reliable production of high-quality parts, where properties of powder are central to achieving this. Among these properties, powder flowability and spreadability play critical roles in determining the quality of these powder *** extensive research has been conducted on powder flow and spreading behaviour, and on their characterisation, there is little critical comparison and review of these terms in the context of AM. Such a review is necessary to further develop and enhance our comprehension of spreading dynamics and its relation to powder properties in AM *** review paper aims to build a coherent understanding of the correlation between powder characteristics and spreading in powder based additive manufacturing and its impact on manufactured parts. It highlights the current progress in comprehending spreading dynamics, the influence of powder characteristics, environmental conditions, spreading system, and the development of testing tools to assess powder spreadability. furthermore, the paper critically discusses the challenge of finding appropriate quantitative metrics and recent advances in the use of standardised methods for evaluating powder spreadability.

BACKGROUND Distal humerus elbow fractures are one of the most common traumatic fractures seen in pediatric patients and present as three main types:Supracondylar(SC),lateral condyle(LC),and medial epicondyle(me)*** To evaluate the epidemiology of pediatric distal humerus fractures(SC,LC,and Me.from an American insurance claims *** A retrospective review was pe.formed on patients 17 years and younger with the ICD 9 and 10 codes for SC,LC and Me.fractures based on the IBM Truven MarketScan®Commercial and IBM Truven MarketScan medicare Supplemental *** from 2015 to 2020 were queried for treatments,patient age,sex,length of hospitalization,and *** A total of 1133 SC,154 LC,and 124 Me.fractures were *** fractures had the highest percentage of operation at 83%,followed by LC(78%)and Me.fractures(41%).Male patients were,on average,older than female patients for both SC and me *** In the insurance claims databases used,SC fractures were the most reported,followed by LC fractures,and finally me *** was identified to be a factor for how a pediatric distal humerus fractures,with patients with SC and LC fractures being younger than those with me *** peak age per injury per sex was similar to reported historic central tendencies,despite reported trends for younger physiologic development.

Rodents and weeds are important pests to rice crops in Southeast *** interaction between these 2 major pests is poorly *** temperate cereal systems,seeds of grass weeds can be an important food source.for rodents and weed cover along crop margins provides important refuge.for *** 2012 and 2013,a replicated study(n=4)in Bago,Myanmar compared 4 treatments(rodents and weeds;no rodents and weeds;rodents and no weeds;no rodents and no weeds)each of 0.25 ha in transplanted *** were managed with hand weeding in the wet season,and hand weeding and herbicides in the dry *** fences were installed to exclude *** examined the weed cover and relative abundance of weed species,rodent damage,rodent population dynamics and rice yield loss caused by rodents and *** dominant rodent species was Bandicota *** the dry season,Cyperus difformis was dominant at the tillering stage and echinochloa crus-galli was the dominant weed species at the booting *** the wet season ***-galli was a dominant weed throughout the *** by rodents was higher in the dry *** were larger economic benefits for best weed management and e.fective rodent control in the dry season(258 US$/ha)than in the wet season(30 US$/ha).Concurrent control of weeds in and around rice.fields combined with coordinated community trapping of rodents during the early tillering stage and ripening stage of rice are recommended management options.

We report here the synthesis and characterization of two new members of the M2 e 12 family of endohe-dral Zintl clusters,[fe_(2)Sn_(4)Bi_(8)]^(3-)and[Cr_(2)Sb_(12)]^(3-),both of which contain open-shell metal dimers encap-sulated inside a triple-decker cluster of main-group *** 75-electron[fe_(2)Sn_(4)Bi_(8)]^(3-)cluster has a D4h-symmetric structure,while[Cr_(2)Sb_(12)]^(3-),despite having the same 75-electron count,is strongly dis-torted to a geometry that resembles a CrSb_(8)crown capped by a CrSb_(4)*** structural differences between the two are driven by the increasing availability of 3d electron density in the earlier transi-tion metal,which leads,ultimately,to different electronic configurations in the two *** trends precisely mirror those observed in the me_(10)and me_(12)families containing a single transition metal ion.

Solar wind transport into magnetosphere caused by magnetic reconnection at high latitude magnetopause during northward IMf: Cluster-DSP conjunction observations

An event of Cluster-Double Star conjunction observations of magnetic reconnec-tion at high latitude magnetopause nightside of both cusps and solar wind trans-port into magnetosphere caused by such reconnection process has been investi-gated. During northward IMf, Cluster/SC1 observed accelerated flows and ion heating associated with magnetic reconnection at high latitude magnetopause nightside of southern cusp. And Double Star observed cold dense solar wind plasma transported into dayside magnetosphere. The analysis on such conjunction observations shows that: (1) during northward IMf, magnetic reconnection occurs at high latitude nightside of southern cusp, accompanied by accelerated flows that are observed by Cluster/SC1; (2) the direction of the accelerated flows, with its sunward component Vx, dawnward component Vy, northward component Vz, is quite consistent with the theoretical anticipation under the condition of northward IMf with dawnward component By; (3) reconnection can heat plasma more in par-allel direction than in perpendicular direction, to a level of about 4 keV; (4) with reconnection taking place at high latitude magnetopause nightside of the southern cusp, TC-1 observed cold and dense plasma transported into magnetosphere; (5) by reconnection at high latitude magnetopause nightside of both cusps, solar wind flux tube can be captured by magnetosphere and pulled into dayside magneto-sphere. This event presents further observational evidence.for magnetic reconnec-tion at high latitude magnetopause nightside of both cusps as an important mech-anism of sol-ar w-ind transport into magnetosphere.
