The.aim of this work was to study hype.homocyste.ne.ia and othe. bioche.ical marke.s associate. with T2D in the.Congole.e.population. This was an analytical case.control study carrie. out be.we.n Octobe. 2022 and Octobe. 2023. The.study population consiste. of 150 subje.ts including 100 T2D patie.ts and 50 control subje.ts. The.main clinical data we.e.colle.te. on a pre.e.tablishe. form. homocyste.ne.de.e.mination was carrie. out by the.sandwich e.ISA me.hod. The.othe. bioche.ical marke.s we.e.me.sure. by colorime.ric e.zymatic me.hods. hype.homocyste.ne.ia was pre.e.t in 27.3% (41/150) of the.e.tire.study population. Type.2 diabe.ics had a fre.ue.cy of hype.homocyste.ne.ia of 36% (36/100) and control 10% (5/50) (p = 0.001). The.me.n hype.homocyste.ne.ia conce.tration was 31.9 μmol/l with e.tre.e. ranging from 18 to 103 μmol/l.
